Both Optical Arts and Music need Symbolization to express the Realities and they also need 2-dimensinoal presentation by drawing in Optical Arts and writing notations in Music. There are some optical relationship in Music, because it expresses same optical meaning in the image of musical notations. In historycaly, too many artists had borrowed the other art's methods in their works, because they believed that anyone can feel another art's feeling with an art if they mean same reality. And they believed that it will be more impressive to appeal over than one sensory organ than only one. Therefore, it will be a good design method to borrow another art's method, then the impression of the realty will be increased.

Japaneses has regarded the water as a part of his usual lives from the traditional periods, and used to appreciate it in term of intimated water-space. Water, one of the element of Nature, revelas various metaphors through the architectural design in Japanese architecture. One of the most figurative characteristics among them is the metaphorical mediator between the Nature and architecture, especially the natural and the artifical.

This paper is to study the relation of urban design with ESSD(environmentally sound sustainable development). The priciples of sustainable development as defined by the agenda 21 of the world conforence on environment in Rio(Brazil) in 1992 provide some basic rules for the evaluation of our present practice and the necessary changes. Healthy and ecologically-sound city is real organisms that interact inside and the environment outside. Therefore to make ecologically-sound city, factors of urban design is ecologically-sound. This study presents that factors of urban design highly relate factors of ESSD.

For the last thirty years, various urban structures were supplied under the keyword of mass construction and rapid building, and most of consumers' demand were ignored. Urban public spae where city dwellers were supposed to enjoy the public life through mingling, were no exception. But some time have passed since the people have been demanding for the quality of life. Because superficial planting of a tree, or redecoration does not directly translate inti amenity. A consideration and inquiry into the level of demand of the users comes first, then with such basis, until the improvemnet of constructor, users, public officials, institution have been attained will an effective urban public space be created. In this study, I investigated some cases of public space incentives in Korea and other countries. After analysis on those cases, I extracted some issues and problems. So, I suggested some improving guidelines for public space incentives.

Concerns on the amenity of the living environment has grown during several years, even after the IMF crisis, differently from the past priortiy on the monetary aspect. Due to the severe housing shortages, the past housing policy has put the emphasis on the mass production of small apartment housing to alleviate the housing problem. Therefore, the condition to provide the detached housing is in a hard situation, which has acquired a great interest recently. This study aims to provide the legal framework to activate the mass provision of detached housing. The conept and type of detached house is introduced, and the existing problems of the early detached housing are analyzed. Depending on the case studies of the recent communal housing and foreign studies, the directions for the system improvements are proposed.

This study started with the theoretical consideration about urban public space under the premise that urban public space is the physical realization of public earnestly than any other public places. After the consideration and various analysis of amenity which urban public space must have equipped with, this research executed to get the amenity indicator in urban public space.

Reinforced concrete structure is deteriorated, as time goes on. So many repair materials are developed for the repair. But repair materials have not been adequately applied so far. Because the datum which evaluated the repair materials are not sufficient. The object of this study is estimation of repair material that is in general use and establish method of application. To acquire the result, we have made experiments on chemical attack, carbonation and chloride permeability test. The carbonation and chloride permeability are very different. Some repair materials are poorer than portland cement mortar.

Recently, antiwashout underwater concrete has been used for underwater structure such as high strength massive concrete structures. When concrete is placed in seawater, the Quality and durability of concrete could be doubt to especially because the amount of cement placed in the concrete can be diminished by flowing seawater. In this study, antiwashout underwater concrete mixed with mineral admixtures for improvement of properties was placed in air, water, and salt water. Half-cell potential and current density and chloride ion permeation of specimens which made under different conditions was measured for estimating in concrete. The experimental results demonstrate that corrosion resistance in saltwater was little and mineral admixtures improved properties of concrete.
유고감지를 통한 도시고속도로축 통합최적제어 모형에 관한 연구

An integrated optimal freeway corridors control model has been formulated to address dynamic freeway diversion control process. The purpose of this paper is to develop an effective and efficient approach for simultaneously solving optimal control measures, including on-ramp metering rates, off-ramp diversion rates, and g/C ratios for traffic signals, on a real-time basis. By approximating the flow-density relation with a two-segment linear fuction, the non-linear optimal control problem can be simplified into a set of piece-wised linear programming models and solved with the proposed SLP algorithm. consequently, an effective on-line feedback method has been developed for integrated freeway corridor control.
