        This paper deals with the results of a survey of environment industry status in korea. The environment industry is a broad and diverse industry composed of a number of distinct sub-segment. Internationally, there are wide variences among studies that have tried to define and describe environment industry. However, Reasonable statistic surveys about environment industry have not been conducted. In particular this paper describe the results of surveys regarding the environment industry in korea.

      • 한국산업디자인 정책의 현황과 전망

        Recently, nations all over the world are adopting the economic systems for their practical benefits, while international competition becomes ever fierce. Under such conditions, the industrial design is being highlighted as core element of high added values together with advanced technologies. In order to improve their national competitive edges, governments, private or business sectors nations are endeavoring to promote and support their industrial design. Thus, the industrial design becomes ever important. In case of Korea, an industrial design policy began to be programmed in the national dimension relatively earlier since 1960's, but any substantial achievement has yet to be witnessed until 1990's. On the threshold of mid-1990's, the Industrial Design Promotion Code was, amended and Korea Industrial Design Promotion Institute was subject to drastic changes. All in all, Korea witnessed more industrial design activities, recording some achievement during mid-1990's, but the policies depended much on decision makers' preferences, while featuring some wasteful elements for showcases or demonstrations. As a result, the industrial design showed many malfunctions. With such basic conceptions in mind, this study was aimed at reviewing nation's industrial design policies from 1946 when the design began to develop to present and thereby, surveying and analyzing the conditions of major advanced nations' industrial design and closely examining the 1997 Amendment of Industrial Design Promotion Code to suggest the directions for nation's new and realistic industrial design promotion policies.

      • EFFECT OF CONCRETE STRENGTH AND STEEL FIBER CONTENT ON MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF STEEL FIBER REINFORCED CONCRETE

        본 논문은 강섬유 보강 콘크리트에 있어서 콘크리트의 강도와 강섬유 함유량 변화가 압축강도, 활할 인장강도와 휨 탄성계수에 어떠한 영향을 마치고 있는지 자세히 기술하고 있다. 시편시험 결과, 보통강도 콘크리트 (NSC)를 이용한 강섬유 보강 콘크리트의 압축강도는 강섬유 함유량이 1.5%에 이를때까지 꾸준한 증가를 보였다. 그러나, 중간 강도 (MSC)와 고강도 콘크리트(HSC)를 이용한 강섬유 보강 콘크리트의 압축 강도는 강섬유 함유량이 1.0%일때 최대치를 나타냈다. 강섬유 함유량이 증가는 NSC, MSC와 HSC를 이용한 강섬유 보강 콘크리트의 점진적인 활할 인장강도를 나타내었다. 또한, 보통, 중간, 고강도 강섬유 보강 콘크리트의 활할 인장강도식은 각각 사용된 강섬유 함유량의 함수로 제시되었다. 강섬유 함유량의 증가로 인한 휨 탄성계수의 증가는 MSC나 HSC에 있어서보다 NSC에 있어서 보다 더 주목할만 결과를 보였다. This paper presents the influence of concrete strength and steel fiber content on compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, and modulus of rupture of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC). Based on the limited number of specimens tested, it is concluded that continuous improvement of compressive resistance for normal-strength concrete (NSC) is observed due to addition of steel fibers up to 1.5 percent; however for medium-strength concrete (MSC) and high-strength concrete (HSC), the peak values occur at 1.0 percent of steel fiber content. For a broader use of high-strength concreted in innovative structural solutions, there is a need for the development of a fundamental understanding of the ductility of this material. Addition of steel fibers generally enhances indirect tensile characteristics of NSC, MSC, and HSC, The indirect tensile characteristics of normal to high-strength steel fiber reinforced concrete (HSFRC) are presented as a function of steel fiber content. Test results also indicate that the addition of steel fibers yields considerable improvement to bending properties for NSC compared to that of MSC and HSC.

      • GHz 대역용 SAW필터의 재료 및 제조 방법

        고주파용, 고전력용 SAW필터의 경우 IDT(Interdigital transducer)의 폭이 sub-micron(0.5∼0.6㎛)이 되므로 dry etching을 포함한 제조공정이 매우 까다로울 뿐만 아니라 고주파에서는 주파수에 의한 기계적 스트레스가 전극의 퇴화에 영향을 주게 되며, 이로 인해서 소자의 신뢰성이 떨어지게 된다. 따라서 이에 대응할 수 있는 전극 재료와 제조공정의 개발은 매우 중요하다. 더불어 이러한 번거로움을 해결하기 위한 또 다른 방편으로, 높은 SAW 전단속도를 갖는 SAW 소자의 제조에 대하여도 알아보았다.

      • EDIF의 Netlist View와 VHDL의 Structure 기술간의 변환기

        The VHSIC Hardware Description Language(VHDL) and the Electronic Design Interchange Format(EDIF) are becoming standard hardware description languages for hardware design and documentation in higher and lower level. respectively. In order to exchange data between these two standard descriptions. the translators between EDIF and VHDL are needed. In this pryer, the translators between EDIF netlist view(version 110) and VHDL structure description (version 1076/B) which are the gate level representations are developed. Using the EDIF syntax analyzers, data needed iota translations are stored in an intermediate data structure. And, translation from EDIF to VHDL is performed using the intermediate data structure.

      • 高等學校 디자인敎育을 爲한 SLIDE敎材 開發에 關한 硏究

        In the 20th Century, the development of mechanical civilization brought a remarkable change to human ecology as it diversifies social structure. If the movement of design can be defined as an effort to manage a better human life in the flood of machanical civilization, more importance should be added to it for the recovery of humanity in modern age. In other words, designing is a task to have mankind acquire man-like living and this goal may be achieved when the education of design is normally practised as a link of education for the whole man. Considering the actural condition of this country, it may be desirable to give rudimental training of designing at high schools. In fact, however, effective education of designing is not practised because of many unfavorable reasons. Among the reasons, the most serious problem is insufficient educational facility including audiovisual materials. In this study, an effective education of designing through slides is proposed as a means of audio-visual education to be employed in the process of the education of designing at high schools. With slides, interest may be induced from students and the level of educational achievement aimed may be raised and as a result, an effective education may be practised. The education of designing itself is a link of educational for the whole man in high school education. Therefore, it is most important to have students understand the general idea of rudimental designing and to give training of sense about designing through practical designing so that they can realize the importance and necessity of designing in industrial society, as such realization is, in a highly developed industrial society, a path to the creation of a better human environment for both individual person and the society.

      • RIDGEWOOD AERATION SYSTEM ANALYSIS : FINE BUBBLE DOME SYSTEM

        The Ridgewood Aeration System Analysis was initiated in March. 1983 at the Ridgewood. Wastewater Treatment facility in New Jersey. U.S.A. The purpose of this phase of the project was to evaluate the fine bubble dome aeration system. Both clean and dirty water tests were conduted under batch conditions. A comparison of the transfer efficiencies and a values for coarse and fine bubble systems is made. Significantly higher transfer efficiencies and a values resulted for the fine bubble system under batch conditions. The significant cost savings can be predicted using the fine bubble aeration system compare to the coarse bubble aeration system.

        The compression member of light gage steel tend to buckle easily due to cross sectional slenderness, and theoretical difficulties in the analysis of buckling behavior is caused mainly by the coupled mechanism of torsion and flexure. In this research, both analytical investigations are carried out on the buckling behavior of light gage compression members. The equilibrium equations related to buckling are derived.

      • FILTERING OF ADDITIVE NOISE FOR SPEECH ENHANCEMENT AND CODING

        Scalar and vector Kalman filters are implemented for filtering speech contaminated by additive white noise or colored noise and an iterative signal and parameter estimator which can be used for both noise types is presented. Particular emphasis is placed on the removal of colored noise, such as helicopter noise, by using state-of-the-art colored noise assumption Kalman filters. The results indicate that the colored noise Kalman filters provide a significant gain in SNR, a visible improvement in the sound spectrogram, and an audible improvement in output speech quality, none of which are available with white noise assumption Kalman and Wiener filters. When the filter is employed as a prefilter for linear predictive coding, the coded output speech quality and intelligibilly is greatly enhanced in comparison to direct coding of the noisy speech.

      • 效果的인 잔骨材率(s/a)의 減少에 관한 實驗的 硏究

        The natural aggregates of main materials in concrete, such as sand and gravel, are exhausted, due to the increase of large scaled construction works. It therefore leaves us badly in need of the man-made aggregates. While we can use the stone which has been crushed as the coarse aggregate, we still depend on the sand as the fine aggregate. As the results of the effective reduction of fine aggregate content(s/a), we can obtain cheaper concrete by saving natural resourses and cement. The material test consists of two kinds of water cement ratio(w/c;45%, 40%) and each has four classes of unit cement:400㎏, 360㎏, 320㎏, 280㎏, each of which has five classes of fine aggregate content; 45%, 40%, 35%, 30%, 25% with annexed Fly ash of ten percents of cement weight. The results obtained from the data in this test are summarized as follows; 1. The maximum compressive strength of concrete(??) shows around 35% of s/a 2. We can notice more effective reduction of s/a in poor mixing concrete(below 320㎏ of unit cement). 3. It is advisable to use adequate Fly ash and admixture agents to improve the consistency and the bond strength of concrete.
