One of the first considerations that invariably arise in planning housing accommodations for the elderly is whether new accommodations would be "segregated" or "integrated". Behind the decisions to build any of the particular types of projects described above have been two types of factors, which may be boardly classified as social and economic. Usually where the larger groups or clusters of apartments for the aging have been built together, the economic factors predominated. It has been considered more economical to build and provide services for elderly individuals and families if they were concentrated in centralized locations. On the other hand, where there has been a mixing of apartments for older and younger families, the social factor predominated. It has generally been considered desirable not to isolate the elderly from younger persons but rather to encourage as much socialization as possible between the two groups. Sometimes these concepts have acquired "segregation" and "integration" levels. A degree of segregation seems to be preferable to the extent that small clusters of old people can live together, and a degree of integration seems preferable to the extent that old people are not completely isolated and have the opportunity to mix with the general population when they desire.

A stress anaysis of beams by dividing a beam into small unit beams, analyzing them one by one and combining them into an original beam is knowned as the good methods for an analysis of beams with various states of loads. But these methods are not yet enough in applying for many kinds of loads and many kinds of structures because of the lack of concrete studies. Therefore, in this paper, these methods of beam analysis are proved by analytical methods, and on the basis. of the results, these methods are applied for practical beams with vaious kinds of loads and without difficulties, the disposal of those loads are capable. Especially, you can find these methods of beam analysis are very suitable for the vibration analysis of a high-rise building with many kinds of complicated loads.

Shell structures are widely used in variety of engineering application and mathmatical solution of shell structures are available only for a few special cases. The solution of shell structures are more complicated when they have such conditions as foundation, variable thickness, and other problems. In this paper, The Finite Element Method choosing isoparametric element has been developed to solve the stresses of axisymetrical tanks when they have put on the elastic foundation. And also has analyzed the stresses of axisymmetrical shell structure which has stiffners its circumferential direction and compared these valves with the stresses which has no circumferential stiffners.
State Probability에 依한 韓半島 颱風來襲豫測모델

以上과 같이 1910年부터 1983年까지 發生하여 韓半島에 來襲한 颱風에 對하여 調査하고 狀態確率을 써서 未來의 颱風來襲을 確率的으로 豫測할 수 있는 方法을 硏究한 結果를 要約하면 다음과 같다. 1. 韓半島에 있어서 颱風來襲은 5月에서 10月에 걸쳐 있으며 年平均 2回 來襲하고 7月에서 9月까지 3個月間에 全體의 93%가 來襲한다. 2. 年1回의 颱風來襲이 最多度數를 차지하며 1回로부터 1回로의 遷移가 最多이다. 3. 颱風의 來襲을 遷移確率마트릭스로서 豫測 可能하였으며 年別, 月別 豫測모델을 提示하였다. It is absolutely necessary for design of structure and understanding risk on the execution to predict disaster in the future. The state of a system invariably changes with respect to some parameter, for example, time and space. The transition from one state to another as a function of the parameter, or its corresponding transition probability, may generally depend on the prior state. However, if the transition probability depends only on the current state, the process of change may be modeled with the Markov process. In this study, an attempt was made to present a prediction model for typhoons approaching the Korean-peninsula by the transition probability matrix. The method was based upon state probability.
EVALUATION OF TWO POLICE TRAFFIC SERVICE PROGRAMS EMPLOYING DIFFERENT OPERATIONAL CONCEPTS

The individual programs were evaluated for effectiveness in their respective locations using time=series analysis. From the results of the this analysis, it is infered that the Columbia enforcement program experienced a reduction in traffic accidents in the selected enforcement area. The opposite was the case for the Charleston County enforcement area. However, only the reduction of Columbia was significant at 5% level. The police enforcement activities consisting of miles patrolled, man-hours patrolled, and citations issued were used to evaluate the problems. The programs showed an accident count decrease as the issuance of citations increased. This indicated that the most effective police activity was the number of citations issued. At inter-program evaluation, the Columbia enforcement project was determined to be more efficient in reducing accidents when evaluated using the criteria of the percentage of accidents reduction and man-hours patrolled per reduced accident either in enforcement or nonenforcement area. This conclusion agrees with the result of the inference made from the time-series analysis.

본 논문의 연구에 의해 다음과 같은 사항을 정리 요약할 수 있다. 1. 비선형 경화계수 해석법을 제시하였다. 2. 실험 자료에서 이산도가 큰값은 제외함이 정도를 높인다. 3. 본표현 수식에 의해 구해지는 값에 의해 반복계산하므로써 정도를 높일 수 있다. The solution of elasto-plastic problems contain a strain hardening parameter. This parameter may be possible to simulate a given set of stress-strain curve using mathematical formulas. The stress-strain curve is represented by using mathematical spline function in this paper. And a strain-hardening parameter in elasto-plastic analysis is determinated by using this spline function curve.

The object of this research is to develop a personnel-computer program for THERBLIG analysis and FLOW-PROCESS analysis which are kinds of work methods design. All programs are written in BASIC language. The results of this research can be extended to other work methods design and reduce 50% in clerical effort.

Inventory model for situations in which at each time during the stockout period a fraction β of the amount backordered at that time is lost and the remaining fraction 1-β is backordered,is analyzed. By defining a·time-proportional backorder cost and a fixed penalty cost per unit lost, a convex objective function representing the approximate average annual cost of operating the inventory system is obtained. The closed form operating policy variables are obtained. From the sensitivity analysis, we can conclude that decision variables decrease as β increases, which is correspond to our intuition.
황산암모늄의 첨가가 산청 백색 카올린으로부터 알루미나의 용출에 미치는 영향

It were studied the effects of ammonium sulfate as additive, calcination temperature and amount of sulfuric acid for extraction of alumina from Sancheong white kaolin by wet acid process. DTA and XRD indicated that mixtures were decomposed completely at 550℃. Optimum condition for extraction of alumina were as follows. 1. 0.2-0.3 mole of ammonium sulfate to 1 mole of Al₂O₃in kaolin was suitable. 2. calcination temperature was 550℃. 3. 1%, 100cc of H₂SO₄was adaptable to l gr of kaolin. 4. Both α-and γ-Al₂O₃were obtainable. 5. Low-iron kaolin was adaptable to reduce contamination of Alumina from iron.

In this paper, authors intented to calculate littoral drift with consideration of Radiation Stress in surf-zone. It is rational to calculate distribution of longshore current velocity (v) in field. With the ? authors calculated littoral drift at each points in surf-zone and compare to the others calculation methods. Discussed and calculated results are as follows; 1. The method by radiation stress concept is more pratical to understand the mechanism of longshore current velocity and littoral drift in surf-zone. 2. The longshore current velocities curve are ial type. 3. Calculated results have larger values than others methods and the cause could be predict to ignore the effect for lateral mixing friction stress.
