This study investigates, first, whether the extent of corporate social and environmental responsibility disclosure (CSERD) differs between 2010 and 2014; second, whether government regulation affects the extent of CSERD; and, third, whether the CSERD is valued by investors. Content analysis method was used to extract 466 companies' annual reports to measure the extent of social and environmental responsibility disclosure based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) checklist. Independent sample t-test and multivariate regression analysis were also conducted to test the differences of the extent of CSERD as well as determinants and consequence of CSERD. Our results show that the extent of CSERD in 2014 is 21.60 percent higher than in 2010 (13.39 percent). Government regulation has a significant effect on the extent of CSERD. This study also finds that market values positively CSER information disclosed by company. Given that government regulation has a positive impact, however, the findings of this study suggests that the extent of CSERD is still low. To enhance CSERD, government should continuously encourage companies to abide by the regulations as mandated. This study provides a more comprehensive insights of CSRED practices from an emerging country and the effect of government regulation in enhancing CSERD.

This study aims to design a real-time system on STM32F4 to measure the density of liquid flow in construction building materials, which can be manually tested in laboratories or construction sites. The study provides an embedded system capable of sequentially and real-time measuring the velocity profile and pressure drop. Existing devices such as rheometers, which are expensive and require calibration, are used to measure fluid flows. However, this study presents a domestically developed device at a lower cost.

We report a 12-month-old female infant who had a history of neonatal sepsis with liver micro-abscesses that resolved with intravenous antibiotics during neonatal period. During her neonatal admission period, no umbilical vein catheter was inserted. Also, she did not undergo any abdominal surgeries or had a postnatal history of necrotizing enterocolitis. However, the child developed upper gastrointestinal bleeding in form of hematemesis and melena secondary to esophageal varices at the age of 12 months with an extra-hepatic portal vein obstruction with cavernous transformation and portal hypertension subsequently. The child underwent a successful endoscopic injection sclerotherapy. She is now 20-month-old and has portal hypertension but otherwise asymptomatic. We are proposing the possibility of a delayed-onset portal hypertension as a complication of liver abscess and neonatal sepsis.

Abdullah Faisal Alshalif,Mohd Irwan Juki,Norzila Othman,Adel Ali Al-Gheethi,Faisal Sheikh Khalid 대한환경공학회 2019 Environmental Engineering Research Vol.24 No.4
The present study aimed to investigate the potential of Enterococcus faecalis (E. faecalis) and Bacillus cereus (B. cereus) in improving the properties of bio-concrete. E. faecalis and B. cereus strains were obtained from fresh urine and an acid mire water at cell concentration of 1.16×1012 and 1.3×1012 cells mL-1, respectively. The bacterial strains were inoculated in a liquid medium into the concrete with 1, 3 and 5% as replacement of water cement ratio (w/c). The ability of E. faecalis and B. cereus cells to accumulate the calcite and the decrement of pores size within bio-concrete was confirmed by SEM and EDX analysis. The results revealed that E. faecalis exhibited high efficiency for increasing of compressive and splitting tensile strength than B. cereus (23 vs. 14.2%, and 13 vs. 8.5%, respectively). These findings indicated that E. faecalis is more applicable in the bio-concrete due to its ability to enhance strength development and reduce water penetration.

Assessing Service Quality in Public and Private Medical Schools of Pakistan: a faculty`s perceptive
( Faisal Khurshid ),( Muhammad Usman Awan ),( Samia Ayyub ) 한국품질경영학회 2015 한국품질경영학회 학술대회 Vol.2015 No.2
Purpose: Higher education institutions operated by public and private possession, differ in the methods for administration and decision making. Stakeholders of each sector experience a different proposition of benefits and services. As the role of propelled and satisfied faculty in conferring quality education is imperative so this study is devoted to the faculty concerns and issues. The reason for this paper is to analyze, examine and compare the service quality perceived by the faculties of both public and private sector medical schools geographically located within Punjab, which is the largest province (with 60% of Population) of Pakistan. Methodology: A survey instrument based on the recommendations of Waugh, R. F. (2002) and Owlia & Aspinwall (1996) was customized and contextualized to assess the service quality dimensions. Five dimensions included in the final instrument are listed below Tangibility: Physical appearance and infrastructure such as building equipments Content: The degree of significance of schooling material to the student needs Competence: The proficiency and knowledge of faculty members Reliability and Responsiveness: Availability of safe and reliable administrative suggestion Assurance and Empathy: Experience the courtesy and assurance while interacting with school administration. Non-Probability Purposive Convenience sampling was utilized to collect data from 349 faculty members of 10 different medical schools of Punjab. The independent sample t-test was employed in this study to identify the difference in perceived service quality of public and private sector medical school. Findings: Results of the independent sample t-test show that academic staff members perceive three dimensions Content , Reliability and Responsiveness, Assurance and Empathy significantly different in public and private medical schools (p<0.05) whereas in case of Tangibility, and Competence faculty members difference in opinion is statistically insignificantly in case of Tangibility and Competence (p>0.05). Originality of Paper: This is the first exertion in medical schools settings to quantify and compare the service quality perceived by faculty members which are main determinant of overall quality of higher education. This paper may be used for improving managerial/ administrative practices and can likewise be utilized a base for further research in related fields.
High participation in the Posyandu nutrition program improved children nutritional status
Faisal Anwar,Ali Khomsan,Dadang Sukandar,Hadi Riyadi,Eddy S. Mudjajanto 한국영양학회 2010 Nutrition Research and Practice Vol.4 No.3
The objective of this research was to analyze nutritional status and food consumption of children participating in the Posyandu nutrition program. A total sample of 300 children under five years had been drawn. Sample was divided into two categories namely high participation and low participation in the Posyandu nutrition program. The sample was selected from two sub districts of Cianjur District, West Java. The districts were areas with a high proportion of poor people and many of them take the benefits of Posyandu nutrition program conducted by the government. The participation of children (under five years old) in visiting Posyandus was relatively good, namely, 92.4% (for the high participation group). However, for the low participation group, the number of participating children was relatively low (28.3%). The average consumption of energy for children under five years old was still below the recommended dietary allowance < 80% of RDA, whereas the protein consumption was already above the RDA. The prevalence of underweight, stunting, and wasting among children were respectively 30.0%, 43.7%, and 12.3%. The activities at Posyandus had a positive impact on the nutritional status of children under five years olds, measured in terms of weight for age (W/A) and weight for height (W/H). The more frequent the visit to Posyandus, the better the nutritional statuses would be.

Two-dimensional stagnation point slip flow of a Casson fluid impinging normally on a flat linearly shrinking surface is considered. The modeled PDEs are changed into nonlinear ODEs through appropriate nonlinear transformations. The flow is assumed to be steady and incompressible, with external magnetic field acting on it. Similarity transformation is utilized to investigate the behavior of many parameters for heat and velocity distributions using truncation approach. The influence of buoyancy parameter, slip parameter, shrinking parameter, Casson fluid parameter on the heat profile. The effect of the magnetic parameter on the streamwise velocity profile is also investigated.
