자가골 이식술에 대한 임상적고찰 : 장골의 골재취 술식에 대하여 Techniques of Taking the Iliac-Bone Graft

저자는 경북대학교 의과대학 정형외과학교실에서 1979년 1월부터 10월까지 장골이식 수술을 시행한 30례중 분석 관찰이 가능했던 16례를 분석하여 몇가지 의의 있는 결과를 얻었기에 문헌적고찰과 아울러 보고 하는 바이다. 1. 골재취부위는 전례에서 장골의 전방극치부를 택하였으며, 골이식을 시행한 질병은 지연유합 및 불유합이 11례로 가장 많았고 신선골절 4례, 골종양 1례였다. 2. 골채취 술식으로는 3가지 술식을 사용하였다. 제1형 및 2형은 과거의 술식은 술후에 많은 문제점을 남기는데 비해 제3형 술식은 술식이 간편하며 주위조직 손상이 적고 술후 수술부에 남는 기형이 거의 없어 성인에 있어서 장골채취 술실중 권장할만한 좋은 방법이라 사료된다. 3. 장골 채취후 골채위부위에 발생한 통증의 소실시기는 통증민감도의 개인차 및 술식의 차이로 비교하기가 어려우나 술식 제1형에서 통증 소실시기가 더 길게 나타났다. Experimental studies on bone grafts and its clinical applications have been described in enormous number of papers since early 1900. The bone grafts have been widely applied in orthopedic surgery, mostly for the purposes to get better union in the fractures or diseases or to fill up the bony defect. Surgical procedures of taking the iliac-bone graft were carried out on 16 cases at Deparment of Orthopedic surgery, Kyungpook National University Hospital, from Jan. to Dec. 1979. The author used three different techniques of taking the iliac-bone graft, so called sliver, outer cortex only and revere “V”techniques. Reverse “V”technique was introduced by Dr, Paul Tessier, in Paris, and Dr. Wolfe and Dr. Kawamoto were present with minor modifications. The author also observed, the duration of pain at the site of excision of an iliac-bone graft. But it needs further evaluation.

WAVEFRONT SOLUTIONS IN THE DIFFUSIVE NICHOLSON’S BLOWFLIES EQUATION WITH NONLOCAL DELAY

In the present article we consider the diffusive Nicholson’s blowflies equation with nonlocal delay incorporated into an integral convolution over all the past time and the whole infinite spatial domain R. When the kernel function takes a special function, we construct a pair of lower and upper solutions of the corresponding travelling wave equation and obtain the existence of travelling fronts according to the existence result of travelling wave front solutions for reaction diffusion systems with nonlocal delays developed byWang, Li and Ruan (J. Differential Equations,222(2006), 185-232).
Research on the Compression Behavior of Steel Reinforced Concrete Columns With Built-in Steel Tubes

In order to study the compression behavior of rectangular steel reinforced concrete columns with built-in steel tubes under diff erent eccentric loads, three 1/10 scale specimens were designed and monotonic loading tests were carried out on them. The dimensions, steel bars and steel tube of the three specimens were the same except for the location of the loading point. The eccentricity ratios of the three specimens were 0, 0.25 and 0.5, respectively. The failure modes, load-bearing capacity and displacement characteristics of the test specimens were analyzed. According to the Chinese code, the load-bearing capacity calculation principles and methods of steel reinforced concrete columns with built-in steel tube were investigated for the comparison. The study shows that the peak vertical loads of specimens decrease and the corresponding vertical and horizontal peak displacement increase as the eccentricity increases. The load-bearing capacity calculation results from Chinese code are slightly smaller than the test result because of the unconsidered sleeve eff ect of the internal steel tube. The errors between them are small, and the calculation methods are benefi cial to ensure the structural safety.

In order to study the infl uence of stiff eners on the wind resistance performance of the aluminum panel curtain wall unit (APCU), two APCU specimens with diff erent structures were designed and fabricated. The deformations under positive and negative wind loads were studied. The defl ection, stress, and mode were analyzed by fi nite element software. The results indicate that the stiff eners and the aluminum panels work well with each other under positive and negative wind pressure. Adequately designed stiff eners can eff ectively improve the wind resistance of the APCU, reduce the deformation of the aluminum curtain wall, and make the stress distribution uniform. The shedding of aluminum welding nails has a signifi cant impact on the overall wind resistance performance of the component. The aluminum panels and the stiff eners reduce the wind resistance performance of the APCU when the aluminum panels and stiff eners are not fi rmly connected. The modal analysis points out the weak point of the specimens. The fi nite element calculations and analysis results are consistent with the actual measurement results. The research results can guide engineering applications. The research in this paper can provide guidance for wind resistance of aluminum plate, defl ection deformation of stiff ening rib, failure of aluminum plate under wind pressure and engineering research of aluminum curtain wall system under wind load.
Burmese Sentiment Analysis Based on Transfer Learning

Using a rich resource language to classify sentiments in a language with few resources is a popular subject ofresearch in natural language processing. Burmese is a low-resource language. In light of the scarcity of labeledtraining data for sentiment classification in Burmese, in this study, we propose a method of transfer learningfor sentiment analysis of a language that uses the feature transfer technique on sentiments in English. Thismethod generates a cross-language word-embedding representation of Burmese vocabulary to map Burmesetext to the semantic space of English text. A model to classify sentiments in English is then pre-trained using aconvolutional neural network and an attention mechanism, where the network shares the model for sentimentanalysis of English. The parameters of the network layer are used to learn the cross-language features of thesentiments, which are then transferred to the model to classify sentiments in Burmese. Finally, the model wastuned using the labeled Burmese data. The results of the experiments show that the proposed method cansignificantly improve the classification of sentiments in Burmese compared to a model trained using only aBurmese corpus.
Analytic Solution for an Eaton Lens for Rotating 90°

The Eaton lens, with spherical symmetry to its refractive index, was described by Eaton in 1952 and was found recently in the design of an invisible sphere for cloaking. In this paper, an Eaton lens for rotating 90° was designed using Luneburg theory, by which we found it was a fourth-order equation in the refractive index . Therefore, the refractive index has four roots. The equation in was solved and studied using mathematical technology. The unsuitable complex roots of the equation should be dropped; consequently, only one of the four roots remained. To verify the refractive-index profile, the only root was solved for, before a simulation using finite-element analysis (FEA) was performed. The simulation showed that all rays will bend 90° to the right. The result of the simulation is identical to our expectation. This treatment provides a possible method for rotating light at many other angles.
Adaptive Learning Path Recommendation based on Graph Theory and an Improved Immune Algorithm

Adaptive learning in e-learning has garnered researchers’ interest. In it, learning resources could be recommended automatically to achieve a personalized learning experience. There are various ways to realize it. One of the realistic ways is adaptive learning path recommendation, in which learning resources are provided according to learners’ requirements. This paper summarizes existing works and proposes an innovative approach. Firstly, a learner-centred concept map is created using graph theory based on the features of the learners and concepts. Then, the approach generates a linear concept sequence from the concept map using the proposed traversal algorithm. Finally, Learning Objects (LOs), which are the smallest concrete units that make up a learning path, are organized based on the concept sequences. In order to realize this step, we model it as a multi-objective combinatorial optimization problem, and an improved immune algorithm (IIA) is proposed to solve it. In the experimental stage, a series of simulated experiments are conducted on nine datasets with different levels of complexity. The results show that the proposed algorithm increases the computational efficiency and effectiveness. Moreover, an empirical study is carried out to validate the proposed approach from a pedagogical view. Compared with a self-selection based approach and the other evolutionary algorithm based approaches, the proposed approach produces better outcomes in terms of learners’ homework, final exam grades and satisfaction.
