A Novel Spectrum Access Strategy with ${\alpha}$-Retry Policy in Cognitive Radio Networks: A Queueing-Based Analysis

Zhao, Yuan,Jin, Shunfu,Yue, Wuyi The Korea Institute of Information and Commucation 2014 Journal of communications and networks Vol.16 No.2

In cognitive radio networks, the packet transmissions of the secondary users (SUs) can be interrupted randomly by the primary users (PUs). That is to say, the PU packets have preemptive priority over the SU packets. In order to enhance the quality of service (QoS) for the SUs, we propose a spectrum access strategy with an ${\alpha}$-Retry policy. A buffer is deployed for the SU packets. An interrupted SU packet will return to the buffer with probability ${\alpha}$ for later retrial, or leave the system with probability (1-${\alpha}$). For mathematical analysis, we build a preemptive priority queue and model the spectrum access strategy with an ${\alpha}$-Retry policy as a two-dimensional discrete-time Markov chain (DTMC).We give the transition probability matrix of the Markov chain and obtain the steady-state distribution. Accordingly, we derive the formulas for the blocked rate, the forced dropping rate, the throughput and the average delay of the SU packets. With numerical results, we show the influence of the retrial probability for the strategy proposed in this paper on different performance measures. Finally, based on the trade-off between different performance measures, we construct a cost function and optimize the retrial probabilities with respect to different system parameters by employing an iterative algorithm.

      • Experimental Study and Analysis of Insulator Breakdown Characteristics with Short-tail Lightning Impulse

Zhao, Yuan,Li, Yu,Deng, Chun,Yuan, Yi-Chao,He, Jin-Liang,Wang, Xi The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2014 The Journal of International Council on Electrical Vol.4 No.3

The voltage waveform on the insulator by a direct lightning stroke is a short-tail lightning impulse. Experimental study and analysis of insulator breakdown characteristics under short-tail lightning impulses are given in this paper with the contrast of standard lightning impulse. The impacts of crossarm and transmission lines are also considered. The experimental results indicate that the insulator 50% breakdown voltage under short-tail impulse is significantly higher than that of standard wave with both positive and negative polarities, about 25~30%. The 50% breakdown voltage of insulator with negative-polarity short-tail impulse is about 5% higher than with positive-polarity one. The insulator voltage-time characteristics are also given with short-tail and standard lightning impulses.

Resveratrol enhances cisplatin-induced apoptosis in human hepatoma cells via glutamine metabolism inhibition

        ( Zhaoyuan Liu ),( Qing Peng ),( Yang Li ),( Yi Gao ) 생화학분자생물학회(구 한국생화학분자생물학회) 2018 BMB Reports Vol.51 No.9

Cisplatin is one of the most effective chemotherapeutic drugs used in the treatment of HCC, but many patients will ultimately relapse with cisplatin-resistant disease. Used in combination with cisplatin, resveratrol has synergistic effect of increasing chemosensitivity of cisplatin in various cancer cells. However, the mechanisms of resveratrol enhancing cisplatininduced toxicity have not been well characterized. Our study showed that resveratrol enhances cisplatin toxicity in human hepatoma cells via an apoptosis-dependent mechanism. Further studies reveal that resveratrol decreases the absorption of glutamine and glutathione content by reducing the expression of glutamine transporter ASCT2. Flow cytometric analyses demonstrate that resveratrol and cisplatin combined treatment leads to a significant increase in ROS production compared to resveratrol or cisplatin treated hepatoma cells alone. Phosphorylated H2AX (γH2AX) foci assay demonstrate that both resveratrol and cisplatin treatment result in a significant increase of γH2AX foci in hepatoma cells, and the resveratrol and cisplatin combined treatment results in much more γH2AX foci formation than either resveratrol or cisplatin treatment alone. Furthermore, our studies show that over-expression of ASCT2 can attenuate cisplatin-induced ROS production, γH2AX foci formation and apoptosis in human hepatoma cells. Collectively, our studies suggest resveratrol may sensitize human hepatoma cells to cisplatin chemotherapy via glutamine metabolism inhibition. [BMB Reports 2018; 51(9): 474-479]

      • Influence of thermal annealing on bonding structure and dielectric properties of fluorinated amorphous carbon film

        Zhaoyuan Ning,Shanhua Cheng,Shendong Yang 한국물리학회 2002 Current Applied Physics Vol.2 No.6

Keywords: The bond structure and dielectric properties of fluorinated carbon films after thermal annealing in N2 ambience were studied. The results show that dielectric constant and dielectric loss increased, and optical gap decreased with increasing annealing temperature. The composition and bonding structure of the films were obtained by FTIR and XPS analysis. The data indicate that fluorine-to carbon ratio decreased and C@C group increased in the films after the films were annealed. It suggests that the structural and dielectric property changes correlate with the release of fluorine and increase of cross-linking during the annealing. 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. Linear active disturbance rejection speed control with variable gain load torque sliding mode observer for IPMSMs

        Zhaoyuan Zhang,Yao Chen,Xinpeng Feng,Shirui Xie,Chaohui Zhao 전력전자학회 2022 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.22 No.8

A Linear Active Disturbance Rejection Control (LADRC) method with a Variable Gain Load Torque Sliding Mode Observer (VLTSMO) is proposed in this paper to reduce the effects of the load torque disturbance of Interior Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motors (IPMSMs). First, the LADRC is used as a speed loop controller, and the linear extended state observer (LESO) is used to observe the total disturbance. Then the stability of the controller is analyzed. Second, the VLTSMO is proposed, which can output a feedforward compensation signal to improve the observation capability of the observer. In addition, after comparing several standard switching functions, the continuous switching function is selected to reduce the chattering phenomenon. Finally, a 5.5 kW IPMSM is taken as the research object. A simulation model and the dSPACE motor control platform are used to realize the algorithm. Both simulation and experimental results show that the VLTSMO has excellent observation capabilities. They also show that the LADRC + VLTSMO method can effectively improve the dynamic performance and robustness of the speed control system.

Torque Ripple Suppression for Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motor based on Enhanced LADRC Strategy

        Zhang Zhaoyuan,Chen Yao,Tan Lisi,Zhao Chaohui 대한전기학회 2022 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.17 No.5

Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motor has shown advanced performance in the industry, but its smooth operation is aff ected by torque ripple. The conventional Linear Active Disturbance Rejection Controller (LADRC) has a strong anti-interference ability. However, this usually makes it more sensitive to measurement noise, reducing steady-state accuracy. This study proposes an Enhanced LADRC controller to obtain strong system disturbance and noise suppression performance. Firstly, the total disturbance diff erential signal is introduced into the Linear Extended State Observer to improve the anti-disturbance ability of the system, and the bandwidth parameter confi guration method is used to reduce the number of parameters be adjusted in the controller to two. Second, A Fal-Filter is built through the nonlinear function and inserted into the controller to weaken the measurement noise. Finally, the simulation model is established on the dSPACE motor control platform, and the corresponding control algorithm is implemented. Simulation and experimental results show that the control scheme can signifi cantly improve the phase current distortion and reduce torque ripple.

Influence of hexapod robot foot shape on sinking considering multibody dynamics

        Gang He,Zhaoyuan Cao,Qian Li,Denglin Zhu,Ji Aimin 대한기계학회 2020 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.34 No.9

Hexapod robots have attracted attention for their excellent terrain adaptabilities. When a robot walks on soft soil, dynamic subsidence and slippage greatly reduce its walking performance. The influence of foot’s shape is usually ignored or simply studied without considering the multibody dynamics of the robot. This study is focused on the influence of the foot shape on the walking performance of a robot by coupling the sinkage with multibody dynamics. A composite contact model based on the Bekker, spring-damping, and Janosi– Hanamoto models was used to model the interaction of the robot and soft soil. Non-uniform rational B-spline (NURBS) surface and mesh were used to describe the geometries of foot and soft soil, respectively. The influences of three foot shapes on the sinkage and walking stability of the robot were analyzed by comparsion. The improved X-shaped foot reduced the robot’s sinkage and improved its walking stability.
