        盛明巴蜀文人楊慎對孔明的批評

        Yang Shen had made many comments on Kong Ming, which can be seen in his works, poems, poetic criticisms and “the Whole Shu Yiwenzhi”. Yang Shen mainly focused on the analysis of hot issues such as the moral and utilitarian achievements, the academic and governance abilities of Kong Ming. Yang Shen’s purpose in comments on Kong Ming aimed was to admire for former worthies and educate the future generation, not pedantically to look for quotes in order to embellish his writings.

      • On-line Monitoring of Tribology Parameters and Fault Diagnosis for Disc Brake System

        The basic principles and methods of the on-line monitoring of tribology parameters (friction coefficient and wear allowance) and fault diagnosis for the hoist disc brake system were introduced, the method were based on the spring force and oil pressure of the brake system and the hoist kinematics parameters. The experiment on the monitoring and diagnosis of hoist brake system were carried out. The research results showed: the monitoring and diagnosis methods are feasible.

      • Association Between HLA-DQ Genotypes and Haplotypes vs Helicobacter pylori Infection in an Indonesian Population

        Background: Helicobacter pylori is an important gastrointestinal pathogen related to the development of not only atrophic gastritis and peptic ulcer, but also gastric cancer. Human leukocyte antigens (HLA) may play particular roles in host immune responses to bacterial antigens. This study aimed to investigate the association between HLA-DQA1 and DQB1 genotypes and haplotypes vs H. pylori infection in an Indonesian population. Methods: We selected 294 healthy participants in Mataram, Lombok Island, Indonesia. H. pylori infection was determined by urea breath test (UBT). We analyzed HLA-DQA1 and DQB1 genotypes by PCR-RFLP and constructed haplotypes of HLA-DQA1 and DQB1 genes. Multiple comparisons were conducted according to the Bonferroni method. Results: The H. pylori infection rate was 11.2% in this Indonesian population. The DQB1*0401 genotype was noted to be associated with a high risk of H. pylori infection, compared with the DQB1*0301 genotype. None of the HLA-DQA1 or DQB1 haplotypes were related to the risk of H. pylori infection. Conclusions: The study suggests that HLADQB1 genes play important roles in H. pylori infection, but there was no statistically significant association between HLA-DQA1 or DQB1 haplotypes and H.pylori infection in our Lombok Indonesian population.

        Targeting Non-proteolytic Protein Ubiquitination for the Treatment of Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma

        Chronic active B cell receptor (BCR) signaling, a hallmark of the activated B cell-like (ABC) subtype of diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL), engages the CARD11-MALT1-BCL10 (CBM) adapter complex to activate IκB kinase (IKK) and the classical NF-κB pathway. Here we show that the CBM complex includes the E3 ubiquitin ligases cIAP1 and cIAP2, which are essential mediators of BCR-dependent NF-κB activity in ABC DLBCL. cIAP½ attach K63-linked polyubiquitin chains on themselves and on BCL10, resulting in the recruitment of IKK and the linear ubiquitin chain ligase LUBAC, which is essential for IKK activation. SMAC mimetics target cIAP½ for destruction, and consequently suppress NF-κB and selectively kill BCR-dependent ABC DLBCL lines, supporting their clinical evaluation in patients with ABC DLBCL.

        Anti-tumor effect of novel amino acid Schiff base nickel (II) complexes on oral squamous cell carcinoma cells (CAL-27) in vitro

        Background Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a common skin/oral malignant tumor. In recent years, advancements in the fi eld of medical technology resulted in signifi cant improvement in the treatment and management of OSCC. However, adverse reactions associated with the application of radiotherapy and chemotherapeutic drugs resulted in a low overall survival rate. Therefore, it is important to develop and explore alternative chemotherapy drugs, which can eff ectively treat OSCC, and clarify their mechanism of action. Objective The present study aimed to investigate the eff ect of three hexa-coordinated octahedral nickel (II) complexes, namely [Ni(sal- L -phe)(phen)(CH 3 OH)] CH 3 OH ( 1 ), [Ni(naph- L -phe)(phen)(CH 3 OH)] ( 2 ), and [Ni( o -van- L -phe)(phen) (CH 3 OH)] 5CH 3 OH ( 3 ), on proliferation, migration, and apoptosis of CAL-27 cells. Results The results of the study showed that complex 3 exhibited sensitive/signifi cant cytotoxicity toward CAL-27 cells, with an IC 50 value of 15.90 mΜ. Further, an assessment of the underlying mechanism showed that complex 3 could signifi cantly increase autophagy and reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels in CAL-27 cells. At the same time, it reduced mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) in a dose-dependent manner. Additionally, complex 3 might act via inhibition of proliferation and migration of CAL 27 cells and induction of apoptosis, which was mediated via regulation of the expression of Bcl-2 family proteins in vitro. Conclusion The results of the study showed that nickel complexes could potently inhibit the growth of CAL-27 cells, which was mediated via mitochondrial dysfunction, intracellular ROS accumulation, and ROS-mediated DNA damage. Altogether, the fi ndings of the study would provide new leads for the designing and synthesis of novel metal drugs for OSCC.

        Realgar transforming solution-induced differentiation of NB4 cell by the degradation of PML/RARa partially through the ubiquitin–proteasome pathway

        PML/retinoic acid receptor alpha (RARa), as ahallmark of acute promyeloid leukemia (APL), is directlyrelated to the outcome of clinical APL remedy. It isreported that arsenicals can effectively degrade PML/RARa, such as arsenic trioxide and realgar. However, thehigh toxicity or insolubility have hampered their clinicalapplications. Realgar transforming solution (RTS) wasproduced from realgar by bioleaching process in our lab. Previous studies demonstrated that RTS had a significantanti-cancer ability on chronic myeloid leukemia throughoncoprotein degradation. The capacity of RTS on treatingAPL is what is focused on in this study. The results showedthat RTS had a noticeable sensitivity in NB4 cell, and RTSremarkably down-regulated PML/RARa expression andinduced cell differentiation. Further, RTS could accumulatePML/RARa into the nuclear bodies and then executedegradation, which could be reversed by proteasomeinhibitor MG132. The results also exhibited that thereduction of RTS-induced PML/RARa expression accompaniedby the elevation of ubiquitin and SUMO-1 proteinexpression. Finally, PML and SUMO-1 had been demonstratedto be co-localized after RTS treatment byimmunofluorescence co-localization assay and immunoprecipitationassay. In conclusion, these results suggestedthat RTS-induced cell differentiation may attribute to thePML/RARa degradation partially through the ubiquitin–proteasome pathway.

        Fabrication and dielectric properties of CCTO/PF dielectric composites: CCTO with different particle size

        Calcium copper titanate (CaCu3Ti4O12, CCTO) particles with three types of particle size (CCTO–i, CCTO–ii, CCTO–iii) areprepared by wet chemical method. And then the dielectric composites based on CCTO particles and Phenol formaldehyderesin (PF) are fabricated by mixing and mould pressing. This paper mainly studies the microstructure and dielectric propertiesof CCTO/PF dielectric composites (CCTO–i, CCTO–ii and CCTO–iii composites). XRD, FTIR and SEM indicate that theCCTO particles are dispersed in the polymer matrix. In addition, the effect of particle size on the dielectric properties ofCCTO/PF composites is also discussed. By comparing the CCTO/PF composites with different particle sizes, it is found thatthe CCTO–i composite has a high maximum dielectric constant and low loss at room temperature of 100 Hz, while the CCTOvolume fraction was 0.5 in the measurement frequency range, which shows a very weak frequency dependence. On this basis,the CCTO–i composite with relatively small particle size has excellent dielectric properties, which may imply that the effectof interface will be changed by smaller particle size.

        Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase 1 regulates adipocyte differentiation by altering nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate content

        Objective: This study was performed to examine whether the porcine glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase 1 (GOT1) gene has important functions in regulating adipocyte differentiation. Methods: Porcine GOT1 knockout and overexpression vectors were constructed and transfected into the mouse adipogenic 3T3-L1 cells. Lipid droplets levels were measured after 8 days of differentiation. The mechanisms through which GOT1 participated in lipid deposition were examined by measuring the expression of malate dehydrogenase 1 (MDH1) and malic enzyme (ME1) and the cellular nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) content. Results: GOT1 knockout significantly decreased lipid deposition in the 3T3-L1 cells (p< 0.01), whereas GOT1 overexpression significantly increased lipid accumulation (p<0.01). At the same time, GOT1 knockout significantly decreased the NADPH content and the expression of MDH1 and ME1 in the 3T3-L1 cells. Overexpression of GOT1 significantly increased the NADPH content and the expression of MDH1 and ME1, suggesting that GOT1 regulated adipocyte differentiation by altering the NADPH content. Conclusion: The results preliminarily revealed the effector mechanisms of GOT1 in regulating adipose differentiation. Thus, a theoretical basis is provided for improving the quality of pork and studies on diseases associated with lipid metabolism.         Bearing Load Distribution Studies in a Multi Bearing Rotor System and a Remote Computing Method Based on the Internet

        A model in the form of a Bearing Load Distribution (BLD) matrix in the Multi Bearing Rotor System (MBRS) is established by a transfer matrix equation with the consideration of a bearing load, elevation and uniform load distribution. The concept of Bearing Load Sensitivity (BLS) is proposed and matrices for load and elevation sensitivity are obtained. In order to share MBRS design resources on the Internet with remote customers, the basic principle of Remote Computing (RC) based on the Internet is introduced ; the RC of the BLD and BLS is achieved by Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP) technology.

        Hypothalamic Norepinephrine Mediates Acupunctural Effects on Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal Axis During Ethanol Withdrawal

        A previous study demonstrated that acupuncture at ST36 (Zu-San-Li) attenuates ethanol withdrawal (EW)-induced hyperactivation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis in rats. The current study investigated the involvement of hypothalamic norepinephrine (NE) in that process. Rats were intraperitoneally treated with 3 g/kg/d of ethanol or saline for 28 days. After 24 hours of EW, acupuncture was applied to rats at bilateral ST36 points or at nonacupoints (tail) for 1 minute. A high-performance liquid chromatography analysis showed that EW significantly increased both the NE and the 3-methoxy-4-hydroxy-phenylglycol (MHPG) levels in the hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus (PVN). Western blot analysis also revealed that EW markedly elevated the phosphorylation rates of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), but spared TH protein expression in the PVN. However, acupuncture at ST36, but not at nonacupoints, greatly inhibited the increase in the hypothalamic NE, MHPG, and phosphorylation rates of TH. Additionally, postacupuncture infusion of NE into the PVN significantly attenuated the inhibitory effects of acupuncture at ST36 on the oversecretion of plasma corticosterone during EW. These results suggest that acupuncture at ST36 inhibits EW-induced hyperactivation of the hypothalamic NEergic system to produce therapeutic effects on the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis.
