      • Velocity Control with SGARC 440 Alloy in the Roll Forming Process

        <P>Cold roll-forming of metal sections is a significant field in advancing forming of strip metal, and the forming processes are influenced by many factors. The scientific design of passes is worked out by combining theoretical analysis with finite element analysis, in accordance with the principles of cold roll-forming; thus the desired high-quality bending sections are achieved through a combination of theory and practice. This study mainly addresses the velocity of the rolls for sheets that have angle sides, and the spring-back of SGARC 440 alloy sheets in the roll forming process, where we use DEFORM to simulate the sheet.</P>

        <P>Roll forming is a highly useful and important forming technique for sheet metal. As an economic profile product, roll forming products are widely used in transportation, engineering machinery, and civil construction because of their uniform sections, high strength, and low energy consumption<SUP>[1]</SUP>. Roll forming is a rapid processing operation used for transforming flat sheets of material into useful profiled sections. However, a lot of components used in the automobile, railway cars, ship construction, and building industries have variable cross sections. Therefore, flexible roll forming was developed recently to produce variable cross section profiles.</P>

        태권도학과 전공생의 여가활동에 따른 여가만족이 학교생활만족에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 태권도학과 재학생의 여가활동에 대해 알아보고, 그에 따른 여가만족과 학교생활만족도의 관계를 규명하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울, 경기, 충남 지역의 태권도학과 학생 352명을 설문조사를 통해 SPSS 22.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 타당도 및 신뢰도 분석, 교차분석, 카이스퀘어 검증, 일원배치분산분석, 상관관계, 다중회귀분석을 실시하여 결과를 도출하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 태권도학과 재학생의 인구통계학적 특성인 성별, 학년별, 월용돈별에 따라 여가활동에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 여가활동에 따라 여가만족에는 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 태권도학과 재학생의 여가만족과 학교생활만족도 간에는 교육적, 심리적 만족이 학교만족, 수업만족에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 환경적만족이 교수만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the leisure activities of students majoring in taekwondo and to clarify the relationship between leisure satisfaction and school life satisfaction. For this purpose, 352 students in taekwondo department in Seoul, Gyeonggido province, and Chungcheongnamdo province were analyzed by frequency, validity and reliability analysis, crossover analysis, chi-square test, one-way ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 22.0. As a result, First, there was a significant difference in the leisure activities according to gender, grade, and monthly allowance of the difference according to the demographic characteristics of Students majoring of Taekwondo. Second, as a result of analysis of leisure satisfaction according to leisure activities of Taekwondo department students, there were significant differences in leisure satisfaction by leisure activities. Third, as for the relationship between leisure satisfaction and school life satisfaction of students majoring in taekwondo, it was found that educational and psychological satisfaction had significant effects on school satisfaction and class satisfaction, and environmental satisfaction had a significant effect on teaching satisfaction.

        Monitoring for Damage in Two-Dimensional Pre-Stress Scratching of SiC Ceramics

        This paper reports an approach to use the acoustic emission (AE) technology for monitoring the surface/subsurface damage in twodimensional pre-stress scratching of SiC ceramics, in which the two-dimensional pre-stress is used to decrease the scratch-induced damage. Experiments in this study were conducted on a UMT-2 machine (CETR USA) utilizing a designed pre-stressing device under pressures of 0 MPa, 300 MPa and 500 MPa. The experimental results demonstrate that average frequency and magnitude of AE signals have a good correlation with the scratching tangential force and the scratch-induced surface /subsurface damage of materials. For a given normal load, the average frequency and magnitude of AE signals are observed to decrease with the increase in pre-stress, which indicates that surface/subsurface damage of SiC ceramics induced by two-dimensional pre-stress scratching is less than that induced by conventional scratching. The findings provide fundamental information for developing a practical on-line AE monitoring system that is effective in detecting surface/subsurface damage in scratching or grinding of ceramics. These results also demonstrate that two-dimensional pre-stress method contributes to decreasing the machining damage of brittle materials.
