        Measurement and analysis of sound radiation from coherently vibrating shunt reactors

        In parallel with the rapid development of ultra-high voltage (UHV) power transmission systems, noise contamination radiated from UHV shunt reactors is becoming an urgent concern. This investigation explored the distributed structural vibration of reactors and their near-field and far-field sound radiation characteristics based on a thorough on-site measurement and a combined numerical method. The proposed method could realize sound field reconstruction of on-site shunt reactors by directly measuring their surface vibration, thus avoiding complex modelling with fluid-structure interactions and multi-physics problems. Furthermore, the combined method was utilized to investigate the effect of acoustical environments upon reactors’ sound radiation. The results show that reflection boundaries composed of firewalls among reactor units could introduce a higher noise level in the parallel radiation region due to their influence on the sound source directivity. Finally, the sound power levels of the on-site reactors were derived from the constructed sound field, which could avoid on-site background noise concerns in the current executive standards.

        现代汉语彩妆颜色词语义分析 - 以网络眼影颜色词为中心-

        Many new words have appeared in modern daily life and the Internet, especially the eye shadow color words. These color words have distinctive features, novel semantics, and conform to the characteristics of the product. For example, 牛油果绿,豆沙色, etc. Therefore, it is very necessary to study the semantics of the Internet eye shadow color words and analyze the semantic composition and semantic characteristics of these color words. At the same time, attention should be paid to the background reasons for these color words, their usage status and usage problems. This article first selects and analyzes the color words to be studied. Secondly, we read a lot of related color word research articles, and then started to study the Internet eye shadow color words on these basis. In the research process, forms are usually used to show the meaning of color words, as well as the structure and analysis of color words. By studying these color words, we found that in the semantic composition of Internet eye shadow color words, noun meaning + color words meaning occupies an important position; in the semantic characteristics of Internet eye shadow color words, in addition to strong ambiguity meaning, it also has Rhetoric meaning, such as image meaning, associative meaning, etc. Through the research on the color words of cosmetic products in this article, it is hoped that more scholars will study the application of these color words in other industries.

        Revisiting China’s Use of Force in Asia: Dynamic, Level and Beyond

        Abstract: In the context of China’s rapid rise, scholars still debate heatedly and always make contrasted predictions on China’s use of force. This article seeks to identify the determining factors of a rising China’s use of force and its varying levels. Since the establishment of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, China’s use of force has been shaped by its high external vulnerabilities. They consist of two major security concerns: the homeland encirclement by superpowers and the increasing support from the outside to domestic splitting factions. Consistency in China’s use of force can be explained by the legitimacy of the party involved and the regional power position in East Asia. The level of the use of force has been determined by China’s relative capability to its adversaries. Specifically, China will use high levels of force, such as wars or lengthy conflicts, if it enjoys the favorable relative capability. On the contrary, China will use low levels of force, such as blockade, artillery attacks and very short combats, if the opposite is true. Based on these findings and current regional trends in East Asia, the authors are optimistic about China’s non-use of force in Taiwan and territorial or maritime disputes in East Asia over the next decade.

        Compound fault diagnosis and identification of hoist spindle device based on hilbert huang and energy entropy

        Aiming at the complex fault signal components and difficulty in identifying the fault features of a hoist spindle device, this study proposes a method based on a filtering algorithm, Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT), energy entropy, and support vector machines (SVM). The filtering method is applied to the vibration signal under different fault conditions. Then, the Hilbert-Huang transform is applied to the noise-reduced signal. The empirical mode decomposition (EMD) method decomposes the noise-reduced vibration signal into a set of intrinsic mode functions (IMF). Then, the Hilbert transform (HT) calculates the envelope spectrum of the first few IMFs. Afterward, it evaluates and extracts the fault characteristic frequencies. Finally, the identification of different fault defect types is determined by combining the intrinsic modal energy entropy and SVM. The experimental results show that the method can accurately identify the faults in the rotor bearing system and is an effective fault signal processing method.

        Paeoniflorin increases the survival of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infected Caenorhabditis elegans at the immunosuppression stage by activating PMK-1, BAR-1, and EGL-1 signals

        Paeoniflorin is the major active compound of total glycoside of paeony in Paeonia lactiflora Pall. Although several aspects of beneficial effects of paeoniflorin have been described, whether the paeoniflorin treatment is helpful for inhibiting the pathogen infection-induced immunosuppression remains largely unclear. Using the immunosuppression model in Caenorhabditis elegans induced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection, we here examined the beneficial effect of paeoniflorin treatment against the immunosuppression induced by bacterial pathogen infection. In this immunosuppression model, we observed that the survival rate of P. aeruginosa infected nematodes at the immunosuppression stage could be significantly increased by 25–100 mg/L paeoniflorin treatment. P. aeruginosa accumulation in intestinal lumen of nematodes at the immunosuppression stage was reduced by paeoniflorin treatment. Paeoniflorin could activate the expressions of antimicrobial genes (lys-1 and lys-8) in nematodes at the immunosuppression stage. Moreover, at the immunosuppression stage, paeoniflorin treatment increased the expressions of bar-1, pmk-1, and egl-1 required for the control of innate immunity against bacterial infection. Meanwhile, RNAi of bar-1, pmk-1, and egl-1 inhibited the beneficial effect of paeoniflorin treatment in increasing the survival, reducing the P. aeruginosa accumulation in intestinal lumen, and activating the expressions of antimicrobial genes (lys-1 and lys-8) in nematodes at the immunosuppression stage. Therefore, paeoniflorin treatment could effectively inhibit the immunosuppression induced by bacterial pathogen infection in the hosts.

        A review of drug knowledge discovery using BioNLP and tensor or matrix decomposition

        Prediction of the relations among drug and other molecular or social entities is the main knowledge discovery pattern for the purpose of drug-related knowledge discovery. Computational approaches have combined the information from different sources and levels for drug-related knowledge discovery, which provides a sophisticated comprehension of the relationship among drugs, targets, diseases, and targeted genes, at the molecular level, or relationships among drugs, usage, side effect, safety, and user preference, at a social level. In this research, previous work from the BioNLP community and matrix or matrix decomposition was reviewed, compared, and concluded, and eventually, the BioNLP open-shared task was introduced as a promising case study representing this area.

        Prediction of the Axial Bearing Compressive Capacities of CFST Columns Based on Machine Learning Methods

        Concrete-fi lled steel tubes (CFSTs) are widely used in engineering structures due to their excellent mechanical properties and economic benefi ts. This study focused on the construction of artifi cial neural network (ANN) models with high prediction capabilities and prediction accuracies that could predict the axial compression load capacities of short CFST columns using machine learning methods. A database was created by searching literature published over the past 40 years regarding circular-CFST bearing-capacity testing. Three ANN models with diff erent input parameters were developed, and used the Whale Optimization Algorithm to optimize the network weights and thresholds, the core idea of which comes from the humpback whale's special bubble net attack method. Then, the predictions of the proposed machine learning models were also compared with the theoretical values produced by the formulas proposed in existing codes. The results show that the ANN models had higher accuracies and a wider application range than the existing code models. Based on the Garson's algorithm, we perform parameter sensitivity analysis on the network model to enhance the interpretability of the neural network model. Finally, a graphical user tool is built to make the strength of CFST can be predicted quickly.

        Three-Phase Four-Wire Inverter Topology with Neutral Point Voltage Stable Module for Unbalanced Load Inhibition

        A novel three-phase four-wire inverter topology is presented in this paper. This topology is equipped with a special capacitor balance grid without magnetic saturation. In response to unbalanced load and unequal split DC-link capacitors problems, a qusi-full-bridge DC/DC topology is applied in the balance grid. By using a high-frequency transformer, the energy transfer within the two split dc-link capacitors is realized. The novel topology makes the voltage across two split dc-link capacitors balanced so that the neutral point voltage ripple is inhibited. Under the condition of a stable neutral point voltage, the three-phase four-wire inverter can be equivalent to three independent single phase inverters. As a result, the three-phase inverter can produce symmetrical voltage waves with an unbalanced load. To avoid forward transformer magnetic saturation, the voltages of the primary and secondary windings are controlled to reverse once during each switching period. Furthermore, an improved mode chosen operating principle for this novel topology is designed and analyzed in detail. The simulated results verified the feasibility of this topology and an experimental inverter has been built to test the power quality produced by this topology. Finally, simulation results verify that the novel topology can effectively improve the inhibition of an inverter with a three-phase unbalanced load while decreasing the value of the split capacitor.

        A Novel Zero-Voltage-Switching Push-Pull Forward Converter with a Parallel Resonant Network

        A novel zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) push-pull forward converter with a parallel resonant network is presented in this paper. The novel topology can provide a releasing loop for the energy storage in a leakage inductor for the duration of the power switching by the resonant capacitors paralleled with the primary windings of the transformer. Then the transformer leakage inductor is utilized to be resonant with the parallel capacitor, and the ZVS operation is achieved. This converter exhibits many advantages such as lower duty-cycle losses, limited peak voltage across the rectifier diodes and a higher efficiency. Furthermore, the operating principles and key problems of the converter design are analyzed in detail, and the ZVS conditions are derived. A 500W experimental converter prototype has been built to verify the effectiveness of the proposed converter, and its maximum efficiency reaches 94.8%.
