        Clinical Uses of Diffusion Tensor Imaging Fiber Tracking Merged Neuronavigation with Lesions Adjacent to Corticospinal Tract : A Retrospective Cohort Study

        Objective : To investigate the efficiency of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) fiber-tracking based neuronavigation and assess its usefulness in the preoperative surgical planning, prognostic prediction, intraoperative course and outcome improvement. Methods : Seventeen patients with cerebral masses adjacent to corticospinal tract (CST) were given standard magnetic resonance imaging and DTI examination. By incorporation of DTI data, the relation between tumor and adjacent white matter tracts was reconstructed and assessed in the neuronavigation system. Distance from tumor border to CST was measured. Results : The sub-portion of CST in closest proximity to tumor was found displaced in all patients. The chief disruptive changes were classified as follows : complete interruption, partial interruption, or simple displacement. Partial interruption was evident in seven patients (41.2%) whose lesions were close to cortex. In the other 10 patients (58.8%), delineated CSTs were intact but distorted. No complete CST interruption was identified. Overall, the mean distance from resection border to CST was 6.12 mm (range, 0-21), as opposed to 8.18 mm (range, 2-21) with simple displacement and 2.33 mm (range, 0-5) with partial interruption. The clinical outcomes were analyzed in groups stratified by intervening distances (close, <5 mm; moderated, 5-10 mm; far, >10 mm). For the primary brain tumor patients, the proportion of completely resected tumors increased progressively from close to far grouping (42.9%, 50%, and 100%, respectively). Five patients out of seven (71.4%) experienced new neurologic deficits postoperatively in the close group. At meantime, motor deterioration was found in six cases in the close group. All patients in the far and moderate groups received excellent (modified Rankin Scale [mRS] score, 0-1) or good (mRS score, 2-3) rankings, but only 57.1% of patients in the close group earned good outcome scores. Conclusion : DTI fiber tracking based neuronavigation has merit in assessing the relation between lesions and adjacent white matter tracts, allowing prediction of patient outcomes based on lesion-CST distance. It has also proven beneficial in formulating surgical strategies.

        Multifaceted Actions of Succinate as a Signaling Transmitter Vary with Its Cellular Locations

        Since the identification of succinate’s receptor in 2004, studies supporting the involvement of succinate signaling through its receptor in various diseases have accumulated and most of these investigations have highlighted succinate’s pro-inflammatory role. Takenwith the fact that succinate is an intermediate metabolite in the center of mitochondrial activity, and considering its potential regulation of protein succinylation through succinyl-coenzyme A, a review on the overall multifaceted actions of succinate to discusswhether and how these actions relate to the cellular locations of succinate is much warranted. Mechanistically, it is important to consider the sources of succinate, which include somatic cellular released succinate and those produced by the microbiome, especiallythe gut microbiota, which is an equivalent, if not greater contributor of succinate levels in the body. Continue learning the criticalroles of succinate signaling, known and unknown, in many pathophysiological conditions is important. Furthermore, studies to delineate the regulation of succinate levels and to determine how succinate elicits various types of signaling in a temporal and spatialmanner are also required.

        A Cross-Country Analysis on the Use of ICT and BDA as a Facilitator of Exports

        Fast-developing ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and BDA (Big Data Analytics) has led human society into the information society of the 21st Century and brought huge changes in the manner firms conduct business. Their stimulative effects were found in empirical research at the aggregated level as well. However, differences between their impact upon goods exports and services exports are rarely mentioned. Empirical studies on BDA’s effects on a country’s exports are also rather limited. This paper studies ICT and BDA’s effects on countries' export values with the latest data available from the OECD. The results from the regression analysis give a clearer understanding of the different effects the use of ICT/BDA may have on services and goods exports of a nation. The empirical analysis in this paper adopted the Fixed Effects model and FD-GMM model. Results show that the use of ICT and BDA in business have stimulative effects on both goods and services exports. The stimulative effects may appear earlier in services exports than in goods exports. Whether the effects are greater for services exports remains ambiguous, as the size and type of industries of the country could impact the results.

        Analysis and Design of Function Decoupling High Voltage Gain DC/DC Converter

        Traditional boost converters have difficulty realizing high efficiency and high voltage gain conversion due to 1) extremely large duty cycles, 2) high voltage and current stresses on devices, and 3) low conversion efficiency. Therefore, a function decoupling high voltage gain DC/DC converter composed of a DC transformer (DCX) and an auxiliary converter is proposed. The role of DCX is to realize fixed gain conversion with high efficiency, whereas the role of the auxiliary converter is to regulate the output voltage. In this study, different forms of combined high voltage gain converters are compared and analyzed, and a structure is selected for the function decoupling high voltage gain converter. Then, topologies and control strategies for the DCX and auxiliary converter are discussed. On the basis of the discussion, an optimal design method for circuit parameters is proposed, and design procedures for the DCX are described in detail. Finally, a 400 W experimental prototype based on the proposed optimal design method is built to verify the accuracy of the theoretical analysis. The measured maximum conversion efficiency at rated power is 95.56%.

      • Implementation Real-time Human Parsing using a Lightweight Approach

        Human parsing is a complex and fine-grained semantic segmentation task. It is a challenging problem due to the large variability in human appearance and poses. The goal of human parsing is to segment a human image into a set of semantically meaningful parts. Different from semantic segmentation, human parsing needs to parse every part of the human body, which requires high computational power and operational storage capacity. In numerous circumstances, techniques for human parsing should be used on embedded platforms or mobile terminals. So, the goal of this research is to use real-time human parsing techniques on devices with limited computing power to cut down on computation and speed up the operation.

        Research on Service Extensior of Restaurant Serving Robot - Taking Haidilao Hot Pot Intelligent Restaurant in Beijing as an Example

        본 연구는 식당에서 사용하는 외식서빙 로봇의 서비스 절차 및 인터랙션 방식에 중점을 두고 연구한다. 사용자 설문조사,사용자를 관찰하고 고객과 레스토랑 종업원의 인터뷰를 통한 레스토랑 서빙 로봇과 고객의 교류방식을 분석 하고 사용자 요구를 파악하기 위해 사용자 여정 지도를 구축한다. 또한 서비스 절차에서 배달 서비스 뿐만 아니라 주문 서비스, 접대 서비스 및 테이블 정리 등을 모두 서비스 로봇이 행하는 것을 의도한다.최종 제안 연구 목적은 기존의 서빙 로봇 GUI을 개선하고 새로운 서비스 청사진을 설계하는 것이다. This study focuses on the analysis of the service process and interaction mode of the serving robot used in the restaurant, Through user research, shadowing research and indepth interviews with customers and catering service personnel, this paper analyzes the contact points between catering service machines, people and users, constructs user journey map to understand users' expectations. In addition to the delivery service that can be allocated to the machine and people, the blueprint construction of ordering, reception and table cleaning services can also included in the service process. The final proposal is to improve the existing machine human interface and design a new service scheme.

      • Forecasting on Ecological Security of Zhalong Wetland Nature Reserve based on Gray Theory

        Based on field survey data and statistics of Zhalong wetland natural reserve, gray correlation model was used to comprehensively analyze and forecast ecological security of zhalong. According to “Response -Pressure - State" model, a eco-security assessment system was built which contains 32 indictors such as human activities, regional development index, etc. The results showed that: Zhalong Wetland ecological security index varied from 0.6852-0.7951 from 2015-2022. The index of ecological security alternated "safer" from "early warning". Upward trend of ecological security benefited from implementation of policies from the response subsystem.

        Fabrication of platinum nano-crystallites decorated TiO2 nano-tube array photoelectrode and its enhanced photoelectrocatlytic performance for degradation of aspirin and mechanism

        In this study, Pt NCs/TiO2 NTAs photoelectrode was fabricated through anodization process, followed byrecycle pulse electrodeposition strategy. Subsequently, physicochemical properties of the resultingsamples were studied systematically. Results indicated that Pt NCs/TiO2 NTAs photoelectrode exhibitedintense light absorbance both in the UV and visible region, high transient photocurrent density of0.089 mA cm 2 and open circuit potential of 0.275 V cm 2. In addition, 98.3% of aspirin could beeliminated within 4 h Xenon illumination with the help of +0.4 V potential. Furthermore, it can beconcluded that two tentative pathways for PEC degradation of aspirin were proposed and confirmed.
