This paper describes a record of the study on a high efficiency and high frequency insulation type converter based on new DAB (Dual Active Bridge) soft switching method aimed for the electric vehicle (EV). This power converter is basically proposed for the 20 kHz soft switching with closed loop control by phase shift control using DSP. For evaluating the practical effectiveness of new DAB method converter, the preceding fabrication using IGBT module and power MOSFET module has been completed and basic operational test, the efficiency measurement, light load test and closed loop control test was obtained. The load test by 4 kW of maximum load has been completed. 95.6 % efficiency at 4 kW was obtained and it corresponds to 16 kW with efficiency of 99 %.

This paper is a record of the study on a high efficiency and high power chopper based on the new soft switching method QRAS (Quasi-resonant Regenerating Active Snubber) aimed for the fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV). This power chopper is basically proposed for the 25kHz soft switching.<br/> For confirming the practical effectiveness of the converter, the fabrication of a prototype-model using IGBTs has been completed and the 8kW rating test, light load test, current discontinuous mode test and test out of resonance stable operation have been completed. The circuit geometry, the basic operation, the 8kW one-tenth-prototype test results are reported, and 97.5% efficiency was measured.
On the Scope of Negation in Japanese

The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate that the characterization of the negation scope that Kuno gives in terms of linear precedence is in?adequate and that it needs to be replaced by the one defined in terms of the syntactic domain proposed in Reinhart (1976). It will be shown that this analysis is superior to Kuno``s both descriptively and explanatorily; it can account for the phenomena that Kuno``s rule cannot and it can give a cross linguistic characterization of the negation scope.
Verification of Efficient Operation for High Power DC Chopper

This paper is a study on the verification of high efficient operation for high power chopper based on new soft switching method of Snubber Assisted Zero voltage and Zero current transition (SAZZ) aimed for the fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV). Three phase interleaved 30 ㎑ 90 ㎾ power chopper using SAZZ soft switching is basically proposed and fabricated as a prototype-model using IGBTs. The load test of 15 ㎾ per one phase, adjustment test for auxiliary resonant parameter and comparison test with hard switching have been completed. 98.1 % efficiency at 15 ㎾ per one phase was measured and it corresponds to 45 ㎾ with efficiency of 98.1 %.
