        IACL23 논문 : 근대한음차사(近代漢音借詞)"선비"고(考)

        It is widely believed that "선비", a word which means (Confucian) "scholar"or "literati" originated from "션븨" which first appeared in Yongbi-eocheonga (龍飛御天歌,1447). The word "션븨" is usually categorized as a native Korean word in most dictionaries but 蕭悅寧(2014) had pointed out that it is actually a loanword from Early Mandarin.Based on this previous study, we are going to prove in this article that "션븨"-the earlier form of "선비"-is not a form that came from "션븨 " directly."션븨" is a word borrowed from "先輩" which means "senior" and "literati" at the same time and it is pronounced it the Sino-Korean(韓國漢字音) way. A new form, "션븨" which is brought in from "先輩" ``s Early Mandarin pronunciation */siεn pei/ appeared later. Both "션븨" and "션븨" were used in a certain period.After that "션븨" changed into "선배" according to the common rule of phonological changes in Sino-Korean system while "션븨" became "선비".By providing evidences found in dictionaries like Chohak-yoseon (初學要選,1918)-which show that the Chinese words "儒" or "士"(scholar) were explained as "션배", we come to the conclusion that "선비" is a loanword from Early Mandarin and it is not a form that came from "션븨" directly.

        A Feature-Based Malicious Executable Detection Approach Using Transfer Learning

        At present, the existing virus recognition systems usually use signature approach to detect malicious executable files, but these methods often fail to detect new and invisible malware. At the same time, some methods try to use more general features to detect malware, and achieve some success. Moreover, machine learning-based approaches are applied to detect malware, which depend on features extracted from malicious codes. However, the different distribution of features oftraining and testing datasets also impacts the effectiveness of the detection models. And the generation oflabeled datasets need to spend a significant amount time, which degrades the performance of the learning method. In this paper, we use transfer learning to detect new and previously unseen malware. We first extract the features of Portable Executable (PE) files, then combine transfer learning training model with KNN approachto detect the new and unseen malware. We also evaluate the detection performance of a classifier in terms of precision, recall, F1, and so on. The experimental results demonstrate that proposed method with high detection rates andcan be anticipated to carry out as well in the real-world environment.

        Novel Carrier-Based PWM Strategy of a Three-Level NPC Voltage Source Converter withoutLow-Frequency Voltage Oscillation in the Neutral Point

        A novel carrier-based PWM (CBPWM) strategy of a three-level NPC converter is proposed in this paper. The novel strategy can eliminate the low-frequency neutral point (NP) voltage oscillation under the entire modulation index and full power factor. The basic principle of the novel strategy is introduced. The internal modulation wave relationship between the novel CBPWM strategy and traditional SPWM strategy is also studied. All 64 modulation wave solutions of the CBPWM strategy are derived. Furthermore, the proposed CBPWM strategy is compared with traditional SPWM strategy regarding the output phase voltage THD characteristics, DC voltage utilization ratio, and device switching losses. Comparison results show that the proposed strategy does not cause NP voltage oscillation. As a result, no low-frequency harmonics occur on output line-to-line voltage and phase current. The novel strategy also has higher DC voltage utilization ratio (15.47% higher than that of SPWM strategy), whereas it causes larger device switching losses (4/3 times of SPWM strategy). The effectiveness of the proposed modulation strategy is verified by simulation and experiment results.

        Quantitative analysis of proteins related to chemoresistance to paclitaxel and carboplatin in human SiHa cervical cancer cells via iTRAQ

        Objective: This study aimed to identify proteins related to paclitaxel and carboplatin chemoresistance in cervical cancer. Methods: Quantitative proteomic analysis was performed on normal SiHa cells and those treated with paclitaxel and carboplatin for 14 days, with isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ) analysis. Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analyses were used to identify related processes and differentially expressed proteins. Results: A total of 67 and 96 differentially expressed proteins were identified in the paclitaxel- and carboplatin- treated groups, respectively. GO and KEGG enrichment analyses identified 53 (43 upregulated and 10 downregulated) and 85 differentially expressed proteins (70 upregulated and 15 downregulated) in the paclitaxel- and carboplatin-treated groups, respectively. The cell counting kit-8 results revealed that APOA1 was overexpressed in both the paclitaxel- and carboplatin- resistant SiHa cells compared with the control cells. Immunohistochemistry showed that APOA1 was highly expressed in the paclitaxel- and carboplatin- resistant squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix. Conclusion: This study is the first to use iTRAQ to identify paclitaxel- and carboplatin- resistance proteins in cervical cells. We identified several proteins previously unassociated with paclitaxel and carboplatin resistance in cervical cancer, thereby expanding our understanding of paclitaxel and carboplatin resistance mechanisms. Moreover, these findings indicate that the APOA1 protein could serve as a potential marker for monitoring and predicting paclitaxel and carboplatin resistance levels.

        Experimental studies of suppressing effectiveness on sloshing with two perforated floating plates

        In the present paper, model tests of suppressing sloshing fitted with two perforated floating plates are carried out. The study involves identification of system performance such as the suppression and the solidity ratio. Three different solidity ratios of perforated plates have been tried out as potential positive slosh damping devices. A series of painstaking experiments have been conducted in a rigid rectangular tank on six degrees of freedom motion platform under roll harmonic excitation. Comparison of the clean tank shows that the three types of perforated plates are all effective on damping the run-up and impact pressure along the bulkhead. The parametric study indicates that the perforated plate with the median solidity ratio is the most optimal one in suppressing sloshing among three configurations.

        Longitudinal Intrinsic Brain Activity Changes in Cirrhotic Patients before and One Month after Liver Transplantation

        Objective: To evaluate the spontaneous brain activity alterations in liver transplantation (LT) recipients using resting-state functional MRI. Materials and Methods: Twenty cirrhotic patients as transplant candidates and 25 healthy controls (HCs) were included in this study. All patients repeated the MRI study one month after LT. Amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation (ALFF) values were compared between cirrhotic patients (both pre- and post-LT) and HCs as well as between the pre- and post-LT groups. The relationship between ALFF changes and venous blood ammonia levels and neuropsychological tests were investigated using Pearson’s correlation analysis. Results: In the cirrhotic patients, decreased ALFF in the vision-related regions (left lingual gyrus and calcarine), sensorimotor-related regions (left postcentral gyrus and middle cingulate cortex), and the default-mode network (bilateral precuneus and left inferior parietal lobule) were restored, and the increased ALFF in the temporal and frontal lobe improved in the early period after LT. The ALFF decreases persisted in the right supplementary motor area, inferior parietal lobule, and calcarine. The ALFF changes in the right precuneus were negatively correlated with changes in number connection test-A scores (r = 0.507, p < 0.05). Conclusion: LT improved spontaneous brain activity and the results for associated cognition tests. However, decreased ALFF in some areas persisted, and new-onset abnormal ALFF were possible, indicating that complete cognitive function recovery may need more time.

        m6A Methyltransferase METTL3 Reduces Hippocampal Neuron Apoptosis in a Mouse Model of Autism Through the MALAT1/SFRP2/Wnt/β-catenin Axis

        Objective Hippocampal neuron apoptosis contributes to autism, while METTL3 has been documented to possess great potentials in neuron apoptosis. Our study probed into the role of METTL3 in neuron apoptosis in autism and to determine the underlying mechanism.Methods Bioinformatics analysis was used to analyze expressed genes in autism samples. Institute of Cancer Research mice were treated with valproic acid to develop autism models. The function of METTL3 in autism-like symptoms in mice was analyzed with behavioral tests and histological examination of their hippocampal tissues. Primary mouse hippocampal neurons were extracted for in vitro studies. Downstream factors of METTL3 were explored and validated.Results METTL3, MALAT1, and Wnt/β-catenin signaling were downregulated, while SFRP2 was upregulated in the hippocampal tissues of a mouse model of autism. METTL3 stabilized MALAT1 expression by promoting m6A modification of MALAT1. MALAT1 promoted SFRP2 methylation and led to reduced SFRP2 expression by recruiting DNMT1, DNMT3A, and DNMT3B to the promoter region of SFRP2. Furthermore, SFRP2 facilitated activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling. By this mechanism, METTL3 suppressed autism-like symptoms and hippocampal neuron apoptosis.Conclusion This research suggests that METTL3 can reduce autism-like symptoms and hippocampal neuron apoptosis by regulating the MALAT1/SFRP2/Wnt/β-catenin axis.

        Active Disturbance Rejection Control Based on Extended State Observer for Three-Phase Battery Energy Storage Power Conversion System with LCL Filter

        Utilizing battery energy storage system is considered to be a reliable approach to improve the stability of modern power grid. By properly controlling the battery energy storage system, the redundant power can be absorbed and the lack of power can be supplemented. The control strategy of power conversion system directly aff ects the performance of battery energy storage system. Therefore, an improved active disturbance rejection control algorithm for power conversion system with LCL fi lter is presented in this paper. First of all, a pole placement strategy based on full state feedback is implemented in order to solve the resonance problem of LCL fi lter. Secondly, the total internal and external disturbances of power conversion system are compensated on basis of a linear extended state observer for purpose of improving the system robustness against inevitable interferences and parameter uncertainty. Furthermore, the stability of presented control strategy is analyzed and discussed in detail. Finally, the simulation and experimental results extracted based on a 2.6 kVA prototype are both provided, which can confi rm the feasibility and correctness of the control strategy.

        Longitudinal Ultrasonic Vibration Assisted Rapid Solid Phase Bonding of 2024 Aluminum Alloy Using Ag as Interlayer for Structure Lightweight Design

        This paper introduced a method of rapid solid-phase bonding Al block with Ag as the intermediate layer by longitudinalultrasonic vibration under eutectic temperature in the atmospheric environment. This method is suitable for the application ofstructural lightweight design. It was observed that Al and Ag difuse with each other in the weld seam to form an intermetallic compound Ag2Al with close hexagonal structure. The efects of diferent reaction temperatures and ultrasonic vibrationtimes on the microstructure and mechanical properties of intermetallic compound Ag2Al were discussed. The infuence ofthe efect of ultrasonic softening waves on surface oxide flm rupture and element difusion was explored. With the increaseof ultrasonic vibration time, the intermetallic compounds grew along with the interface and the thickness increased. Whenthe welding temperature was 500 °C and the ultrasonic vibration was 20 s, the highest average strength of the welded jointreaches 46.68 MPa.

        Cadmium permeates through calcium channels and activates transcriptomic complexity in wheat roots in response to cadmium stress

        Present study was conducted to elucidate the molecular regulation mechanisms and the critical genes involved in regulating wheat early responses to Cadmium (Cd) stress. Both ICP-AES and fluorescence labeling were used to find that the Cd2? influx into wheat roots was significantly suppressed by pre-treatment with or in the presence of the Ca2? channel blocker LaCl3, Verapamil and N-ethylmaleimide. RNA-seq technology was used to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) during 12 h of 100 lM Cd stress. Raw reads (n = 80,309,620 were obtained. 108,549 unigenes were identified and classified into 25 COG categories. 8584 DEGs were detected. Many DEGs were involved in defense and detoxification mechanisms including signaling protein kinases, transcription factors, metal transporters and biosynthesis-related enzymes. A Gene Ontology annotation analysis based on the DEGs indicated the presence of many categories including cellular process, cell part and binding, catalytic activity and transporter activity. The Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes pathway analysis identified 107 terms that were enriched for all of the 1018 DEGs. Quantitative real-time PCR of 27 selected DEGs revealed that the expression patterns were consistent with the transcript abundance changes as identified by Solexa analysis.
