In this paper, a novel type ultrasonic linear motor is proposed. The proposed motor consists of a ring type stator and a mover. They have spirals on their inner and outer surface, respectively. Along the spiral, a mover is travelled by a travelling extensional vibration mode of a ring type stator. Hence, a linear up-and-down motion is possible. Through the experimental results, we can verify the applicability regarding the autofocus lens driver. keywords : Ultrasonic linear motor, Autofocusing driver, ring type stator
흰쥐 해마에서 경련에 의해 발현 유도된 MKP-1에 의한 MAPK 활성 조절

연구목적 : 전기경련 충격(Electroconvulsive shock, ECS) 및 카이닌산(kainic acid)에 의한 경련은 흰쥐 해마에서 mitogen activated protein kinase(MAPK)를 활성화시키며, 동시에 MAPK 불활성화 효소인 MAPK phosphatase-1(MKP-1)의 발현을 일으킨다. 이 연구의 목적은 경련에 의해 발현된 MKP-1이 역시 경련에 의해 활성화된 MAPK의 불활성화에 관여하는지를 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 방 법 : 흰쥐에 ECS를 가하여 해마에서 MKP-1 발현을 일으킨 뒤 다시 ECS를 가하고, 두 번째 ECS에 의한 MAPK의 일시적 활성화가 MKP-1의 발현상태에 의해 영향받는지를 알아보았다. 또한 흰쥐에 지속적인 MAPK 활성화 및 MKP-1 발현을 일으키는 카이닌산을 투여한 뒤 해마에서 MKP-1의 발현과 MAPK 활성과의 관계를 알아보았다. 결 과 : ECS후 해마에서 타이로신 인산화 면역블롯 및 효소활성으로 측정한 MAPK의 인산화 및 활성은 MKP-1의 발현이 일어나 있는 경우와 그렇지 않은 경우 사이에 차이를 보이지 않았다. 카이닌산의 투여에 의해 MAPK 활성화가 일어나는 경우, 뒤이어 MKP-1 발현이 일어나지만, 이렇게 발현된 MKP-1은 MAPK 활성을 충분히 감소시키지 못하였다. 결 론 : MKP-1은 흰쥐 해마에서 ECS 및 카이닌산에 의한 MAPK의 활성화를 차단하는데 큰 역할을 하지 않는다. Objectives : Both electroconvulsive shock(ECS)- and kainic acid-induced seizures activate mitogen-activated protein kinases(MAPKs) in rat hippocampus. They can also induce the expression of MAPK phosphatase-1(MKP-1) in rat hippocampus. MKP-1 is known as a specific MAPK deactivator. This study aimed to elucidate the role of MKP-1 in the deactivation of MAPKs in rat hippocampus. Methods : In order to induce MKP-1 in the hippocampus, ECS was given to the rats. At the time points when MKP-1 was sufficiently induced, the second ECS was given to them and the subsequent phosphorylation or activation of MAPKs were measured in the hippocampus. A second group of rats were injected with kainic acid and the relationship between MKP-1 expression and MAPK phosphorylation was examined in their hippocampi. Results : The expression of MKP-1 did not influence the phosphorylation or activation of MAPKs following ECS in rat hippocampus. Kainic acid-induced expression of MKP-1 did not significantly reduce the phosphorylation of MAPKs. Conclusion : MKP-1 did not play a significant role in the deactivation of MAPKs which were activated by ECS or kainic acid in rat hippocampus.
기계적 자극이 치주인대 세포의 osteoprotegerin과 receptor activator of nuclear factor κB ligand mRNA 발현에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 치주인대 세포에 지속적이고 점진적 인장력을 가하여 치아 이동 시 형성되는 인장부위의 기계적 자극에 대한 생화학적 전달과 치조골 흡수와 생성 조절 기전을 이해하고자 하였다. 치주인대 세포가 배양된 유연한 성장 표면을 가진 배지에 지속적이고 점진적인 인장력을 가하고 골흡수 인자인 PGE_(2)와 골형성 인자인 ALP의 생성량을 1, 3, 6, 12시간 후에 측정하여 정량비교하였고 파골세포 분화기전을 조절하는 OPG, RANKL의 인자들과 matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-1, -8, -9, -13, tissue inhlbitor of matrix metalloproteinase (TIMP)-1의 인자들을 역전사 중합효소 연쇄반응 검사하여 m-RNA 발현을 비교한 결과, 치주인대 세포에 인장력을 가한 경우 대조군보다 PGE_(2)의 농도가 적었고 (p<0.05) ALP의 농도 변화는 없었으며 OPG의 mRNA 발현이 증가하였으나, RANKL의 mRNA 발현은 감소하였다. 그리고 TIMP-1과 MMP-1, -8, -9, -13의 mRNA 발현이 대조군과 차이가 없었다. 이상의 연구에서 사람의 치주인대 세포는 점진적이고 지속적인 인장력에 대한 반응으로 PGE_(2)의 생성과 RANKL의 mRNA 발현은 감소하고 OPG의 mRNA 발현은 증가하여 골흡수를 억제하는 효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. Tooth movement is a result of mutual physiologic responses between the periodontal ligament and alveolar bone stimulated by mechanical strain. The PDL cell and osteoblast are known to have an influence on bone formation by controlling collagen synthesis and alkaline phosphatase activation. Moreover, recent studies have shown that the PDL cell and osteoblast release osteoprotegerin(OPG) and the receptor activator of nuclear factor κB ligand (RANKL) to control the level of osteoclast differentiation and activation which in turn influences bone resorption. In this study, progressively increased, continuous tenslonal force was applied to PDL cells. The objective was to progressively increased. continuous tensional force was applied to PDL cells. The objective was to find out which kind of biochemical reactions occur after tensional force application and to illuminate the alveolar bone resorption and apposition mechanism. Continuous and progressively increased tensile force was applied to PDL cells cultured on a petriperm dish wlth a flexible membrane. The amount of PGE_(2) and ALP synthesis were measured after 1, 3, 6 and 12 hours of force application. Secondly, RT-PCR analysis was carried out for OPG and RANKL whlch control osteoclast differentiation and MMP-1, -8, -9, -13 and TIMP-1 which regulate the resolution of collagen and resorption of the osteoid layer. According to the results, we concluded that progressively increased, continuous force application to human PDL cells reduces PGE_(2) synthesls, and increases OPG mRNA expression.
DeSOx/DeNOx 효율 개선을 위한 펄스 코로나 방전하에서 기체미립자 전환반응의 적용

In this paper, we investigated the post-combustion removal of nitrogen oxide(N0?) and sulfur oxide(S0?) which is based on the gas to particle conversion process by the pulsed corona discharge. Under normal pressure, the pulsed corona discharge produces the energetic free electrons which dissociate gas molecules to form the active radicals. These radicals cause the chemical reactions that convert SO? and NO? into acid mists and these mists react with NH? to form solid particles. Those particles can be removed from the gas stream by conventional devices such as electrostatic precipitator or bag filter. The reactor geometry was coaxial with an inner wire discharge electrode and an outer ground electrode wrapped on a glass tube. The simulated flue gas with SO? and NO? by adding NH? and H?O in the gas stream. We also measured the rmoval efficiency of SO? and NO? in a cylinder type corona discharge reactor and obtained more than 90% of removal efficiency in these experimental conditions. The effects of process variables such as the inlet concentrations of SO?, NH? asnd H?O, residence time, pulse frequencies and applied voltages were investigated.
어절 형성 기능을 가진 Pratt 알고리즘에 의한 한국어 구문 분석

In this paper, the Korean syntactic analyzer is proposed. in which a word formative function is combined to the Pratt's algorithm. In Korean, word consists of head word and the function word, and function word is attached at the end of head word, so it decides the function of word. The fact increase the number of back-trackings and rule applications during parsing. So, the suggested algorithm creases word through Bottom-up parsing and then perform the parsing by the Pratt algorithm. The a1gorithm simplifies parsing procedure. The number of backtracking and rule applications is deduced, and the incorrectness of parsing is easily found. Therefore, the parsing time is decreased.
