한국어 교육학 양적 연구의 질: 연구 보고 관행을 중심으로

본 연구는 2017년에서 2020년까지의 4년의 기간 동안 한국어교육에 게재된 양적 한국어 교육학 연구(N = 67)의 질을 연구 보고 관행의 측면에서 분석한 논문이다. 심리학과 제2 언어 연구 분야의 기존 양적 연구 보고 기준 또는 지침에 대해 논의하고 비교 목적으로 코딩 체계를 채택한 Plonsky(2013)를 자세히 고찰한다. 분석의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다: (1) 기술 통계: 분석된 연구의 16%와 4%는 효과 크기와 신뢰 구간을 각각 보고했고, 평균과 표준편차를 모두 보고한 연구는 64%였음, (2) 추론 통계: 논문의 57%는 정확한 p값을 보고했고, 평균 기반 분석에 기반을 둔 F값과 t값은 각각 27%와 33%의 논문에서 보고되었음; (3) 기타 보고 관행: 단 하나의 연구만이 연구 질문과 가설을 모두 보고했고, 사용된 통계 분석 유형에 대한 가정을 확인한 연구는 21%에 불과했다. 본 논문은 연구의 한계점, 향후 연구에 대한 시사점 및 한국어 교육학 분야의 연구의 질 개선 방안으로 마무리된다. This study analyzes the study quality, in terms of reporting practices, of quantitative TKSOL (Teaching Korean to Speakers of Other Languages) research (N = 67) published from 2017 to 2020 in Korean Language Education. It discusses the existing quantitative research reporting standards or guidelines from the disciplines of Psychology and Second Language Studies and reviews Plonsky (2013) in detail from which a coding scheme has been adopted for a comparison purpose. The main results of the analysis are as follows: (1) descriptive statistics: 16% and 4% of the studies analyzed reported effect sizes and confidence intervals, respectively, compared to the number of studies reporting both means and standard deviations (i.e., 64%); (2) inferential statistics: 57% of the studies reported exact ps, and Fs and ts, based on means-based analyses, were reported in the 27% and 33% of the studies, respectively; and (3) other reporting practices: only one study reported both research questions and hypotheses, and only 21% of the studies checked assumptions for the types of statistical analysis used. This paper ends with the limitations of the current study and the suggestions for future research as well as ways to improve the quality of research in the field.

What Has Language Proficiency Got to Do with Accommodation in Interviewer- Interviewee Interaction?

This paper takes a qualitative and microanalytic approach to the analysis of Korean oral proficiency interview (OPI) discourse to (a) examine native-speaker (NS) interviewer accommodation behaviors during OPIs and (b) effects of non-native- speaker proficiency level on OPI interaction discourse patterns. 10-minute segments, each, from a set of five demonstration Korean OPIs were used as the data for this study. Based on previous studies, a list of accommodative behaviors used by NS interviewers upon perceiving communicative breakdowns during OPIs was created, with modification, to identify and classify such behaviors. The results show that (1) not all accommodative behaviors in the list were employed and that (2) there was a difference in an average number of accommodative behaviors used between the low and high proficiency groups.

핀란드는 ‘청년법’을 바탕으로 오랫동안 청년정책과 청년사업을 시행하고 있다. 중앙정부는 4년마다 ‘국가청년 사업·청년정책 프로그램’을 수립하여 청년정책의 방향과 목표를 설정하고 지방정부를 지원한다. 지방정부는 청년 대상 서비스 제공을 담당한다. 핀란드의 청년정책은 공고히 구축된 높은 수준의 복지급여와 서비스를 바탕으로 위험에 직면한 청년들이 사회적으로 배제되지 않도록 다양한 서비스를 연계하여 제공된다. 지방정부와 청년 워크숍의 협력으로 시행되는 아웃리치청년사업은 사회와 단절된 생활을 하는 청년들이 사회에 진출할 수 있도록 돕는다. 전국적으로 확산 중인 오흐야모센터는 서비스 접근성을 높여 청년들에게 통합 서비스를 제공한다.

S-ARQ: A New Truncated ARQ for IP-Based Wireless Network

Automatic Repeat reQuest (ARQ) is a very effective technique against transmission error at the medium access control (MAC) layer. An erroneous MAC protocol data unit can be typically retransmitted within a given limit. In order to improve the IP-level performance, which directly affects the user-perceived quality-of-service (QoS), we propose a new truncated ARQ strategy,called MAC service data unit-based ARQ (S-ARQ), where the finite number of opportunities for retransmissions are shared by multiple fragments out of an IP datagram. We describe how SARQ can be implemented in a practical system, and then propose another variant of S-ARQ employing a functionality called early detection of failure. Basically, we evaluate the performance of SARQ in two different manners. First, assuming i.i.d. error process,we analyze both the probability of the delivery failure and the average delay of IP datagram. Then, we assess the performance of S-ARQ via simulation over a 2-state Markov channel.

An Efficient BIST Architecture for Embedded RAMs

In this paper, a new BIST(Built-In Self-Test) structure for efficient test of embedded RAMs is proposed. In proposed embedded memory BIST(EMBIST) architecture, various algorithms are allowed to be executed, and just one controller can test more than one embedded memories. And, the proposed EMBIST has efficient structure that requires smaller hardware overhead. The experimental result demonstrates the effectiveness of proposed EMBIST architecture.

Sound source localization for robot auditory systems

<P>Sound source localization (SSL) is a major function of robot auditory systems for intelligent home robots. The steered response power-phase transform (SRP-PHAT) is a widely used method for robust SSL. However, it is too slow to run in real time, since SRP-PHAT searches a large number of candidate sound source locations. This paper proposes a search space clustering method designed to speed up the SRP-PHAT based sound source localization algorithm for intelligent home robots equipped with small scale microphone arrays. The proposed method reduces the number of candidate sound source locations by 30.6% and achieves 46.7% error reduction compared to conventional methods.</P>

An Effective Test and Diagnosis Algorithm for Dual-Port Memories

This paper proposes a test algorithm that can detect and diagnose all the faults occurring in dual-port memories that can be accessed simultaneously through two ports. In this paper, we develop a new diagnosis algorithm that classifies faults in detail when they are detected while the test process is being developed. The algorithm is particularly efficient because it uses information that can be obtained by test results as well as results using an additional diagnosis pattern. The algorithm can also diagnose various fault models for dual-port memories.
