유대교의 『창세기 랍바』와 유교의 『상서정의』의 주석 비교 : 『창세기』 1장 26절과 『서경(書經)』 요전(堯典) 에 대한 주석 비교를 중심으로

This study provides a comparative analysis of the works of Jewish Midrash and the commentaries on the Confucian Classics. For the purpose of comparison, Genesis Rabbah of Judaism and Shangshu Zhengyi (尙書正義) of Confucianism were selected. When these texts are compared, the following differences can be found. First, creative re-visioning versus detailed re-interpretation: Genesis Rabbah presents a creative interpretation of rabbis using their imagination in re-visioning the Book of Genesis, while Shangshu Zhengyi, written by Kong Yingda (孔穎達), is a detailed re-interpretation of the Confucian scriptures without the author's subjective perspective. Second, creative explanation versus logical objection: In providing explanation of the Biblical text, Genesis Rabbah freely uses passages from other parts of the Bible in a decontextualizing manner based on imaginative subjectivity, while Shangshu Zhengyi objectively presents the correct interpretation of terms by providing examples of the use of the terms in other scriptures and criticizes the commentaries of other scholars. The scope of comparison in this study is very limited and the results cannot be readily generalized. However, this study is meaningful in that it provides limited but insightful findings on the contrasting characteristics of commentaries in Jewish and Confucian literature.
Floor and Motion Classifying Scheme Exploiting Smart-phone for Indoor Movements

In these days, smart-phone becomes a major personal communication device and more and more hardware including various sensors as well as software including various applications tend to be mounted on it. In this paper, we propose a classification scheme that classifies ambulatory movements of the user and the floor where the user exists with a smart-phone. In the proposed scheme, ambulatory movements of the user are classified by exploiting the barometer and the accelerometer, while the GPS data is used to classifies the floor information. With the proposed scheme, various motions, such as walking, stop, up and down motions with elevator or stairs, are distinguished by utilizing the data from the barometer and the accelerometer. When the user enters a building, the building information is confirmed with the GPS information and the smart-phone can classify ambulatory movements and the floor information of the user. An Android application is developed for the performance evaluation of the proposed scheme. The proposed scheme is evaluated with experiments at general building in university and the accuracy of the proposed scheme is more than 94% for floor estimation, although there is still works to improve the estimation of movements.

<P>A 100-kS/s time-domain analog-to-digital converter (TDADC) with successive approximation register architecture provides 8.3 effective bits. The time-domain comparator of the TDADC is realized with only one delay line consisting of a digitally controlled delay line and a voltage-controlled delay line. Therefore, the linearity degradation due to the mismatch between multiple delay lines can be avoided. The TDADC has been implemented in a 0.11-μm CMOS process with a 0.127-mm2 active silicon area. The TDADC consumes 1.7 μW from a 0.6-V supply voltage.</P>
