공중 통신용 송신 다중빔 능동 위상배열 안테나 시스템의 설계

본 논문에서는 공중 통신을 위한 송신 다중빔 능동위상배열 안테나 시스템의 설계, 제작 및 성능검증 결과를 나타낸다. 본 논문에서 다중빔 송신 배열안테나는 3개의 타일형 능동위상배열 안테나로 구성되며, 각 타일은 안테나부, RF부 및 디지털 빔포밍부로 구성된다. 성능검증 결과, 4개의 동시 독립적 빔형성이 가능함을 확인하였고, 각 빔당 약 21 ㏈W 수준의 EIRP를 나타내었으며, 0.4° 이하의 빔 지향정확도를 나타내었다. 본 다중빔 안테나를 응용하면 공중 통신이 필요한 데이터링크 분야에서 활용이 가능할 것이다. In this paper, we describe the design, manufacture, and performance test results of a highly integrated Tx multi-beam active phased array antenna for aerial communications. The proposed Tx phased array antenna is composed of three tile phased array antennas, which consist of an array antenna, RF, and beamforming units. In the performance test of the Tx antenna system, an EIRP of 21 ㏈W and a beam pointing accuracy of less than 0.4° were achieved with four independently operable multi-beams. It is expected that the Tx multi-beam antenna system can be applied to common data link (CDL) communications for aerial networks.
Improvement of FDTD method regarding cloaking metamaterials by interpolation

<P>The finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) algorithm is a powerful, versatile tool for electromagnetic analysis. In this work, the stability of FDTD is analyzed regarding metamaterials and improved by stably interpolating adjacent fields. The interpolation operation was applied to metamaterials such as the invisibility cloak, the field rotator, and the field concentrator. As a result, field distortion disappeared and computation efficiency was increased as large spatial step sizes became available. The proposed method also resulted in smaller dispersion compared with the conventional FDTD method. The suggested method is applicable to other metamaterials and can be used to efficiently analyze large-scale metamaterial structures with FDTD.</P>
X-band 입사파 환경에서 안테나 송신 신호 on/off에 대한 RCS(Radar Cross Section) 성능에 관한 연구

Many technologies are being studied to reduce the RCS(Radar Cross Section) of stealth aircraft. Most RCS-reduction technlogies correspond to platforms. It is important to identify factors that RCS performance through simulation analysis of aircraft Mounted equipment. In particular, there are no studies of RCS performance in the radar frequency band when antenna transmit signals are applied. In this paper, the RCS performance variation on the transmit signal on/off of antennas mounted on a stealth aircraft was verified. Antennas were selected for each frequency band and simulated analysis to the RCS performance changes during antenna transmitting signal. Finally, to verify the characteristics of the change in RCS performance, RCS test measurements on the low-profile antenna transmit signal on/off were performed. In addintion, antenna RCS test measurement was performed according to the change of transmit signal power output. As a result, it was confirmed that there is no change in RCS performance when an antenna transmit signal is applied.
