The subjects of this study are the students preparing themselves for an examination of entrance into a university(college) and the parents of students. The aims of this study are to investigate what is the most important criteria on their choice of university(college) , what is their impression of Halla college and what is the strong points and weak points of Halla college. Furthermore, authors hope to present the strategies of development of Halla college. On criteria of choice of university(college) , they regard the environments of learning, the possibility of development and the conditions of attending school as important, on the other hand, they disregard the scale of university (college) , image of university (college) and unacademic activities of students. On impression of Halla college, the strong points are the conditions of attending school, the environments of learning and the scale of college, on the other hand, the weak points are tuition fee, the image of college and possibility of development as a whole. From these results authors find out that the condition of attending school and the environments of learning are the strong points of Halla college as well as the important criteria of choice of university (college) , but the possibility of development as one of most important criteria of choice of university (college) is found out as a weak point of Halla college. For that reason, authors propose the necessity of strategic investigation on that point. On opinions on school moving, the students and the parents give an affirmative answer because of expectation of new environment in spite of merits of accessibility that Halla college is located nearer to downtown than other college in Cheju - do. Above all, it is proposed that transport systems for attending school will be needed in master plans on school moving on 21 century.

Nowadays the college has been asked for the execution of the role which can satisfy the individual. social, and national claims and which can contribute to their development. Up to now the colleges in our community present the significant studies and the solutions to take care of the rapidly changing educational situation. Halla College which is the only private school built by a native of Cheju has performed the central part to develope the community of Cheju on a basis of about thirty-year-history. It also changed all the course of the educational management into the Students-Centered System by introducing the HAK-GWA-CHAEK-IM-JE, that is, the professors of each major department have to be responsible for the entrance, obtaining qualifications, getting jobs and leading graduates' education. On the ground of this necessity this study presents the ways that can improve the educational competition and make a contribution to the development of our community by analyzing their characteristics and consciousness of our college students through the 891 answered-questionaries of the 1200 investigated from on May 30 to on June 20 in 1997 to reflect their public opinion.

실루엣터에 의한 男子高等學生의 體型分析 : 바지패턴을 중심으로

The purpose of this study was to provide the highly adaptable materials for the production of slacks pattern of high school boys. Somatotype analysed and classified by the measure and form of the lower half of body. 205 boys of high school in Seoul between the age of 15 and 18 were examined by the Silhouetter Photography, the indirect measurement of their somatotype. 64 items-41 in measurement,6 in calculated values and 17 in physical index were studied in this research and the method of Mean, Standard variation, Pearson's correlation coefficients, factor analysis, and One - way analysis of variation were uesd for statistical analysis. The results of this study are as follows ; 1.It was founded in 4items only that the lower half of body of high school boys increased with age. But there was no significant difference in other items. As a result somatotype were more adequately examined by the posture and characteristic of body rather than by age for the highly adaptable production of slacks patterns. 2.In the proportion of the lower half of body the waist line was lower and more distinguishable and crotch depth was shorter by age. 3.Waist girth, hip girth, stature, finished length-pants, crotch depth and hip length, glutea angle, abdominis media angle, hip side slope wich were sampled as major parts of the lower half of body by the factor analysis. Especially, the angle item was considered as an standard item in slacks patterns seperately. 4.According to the classification of posture and characteristic of the lower half of body, The Forward Somatotype was the most in percentage and was followed by the standard Somatotype, the next was the Turning over Somatotype and the Forward -Turning over Somatotype as the least. The Standard Somatotype was employeed as the basis of comparison each characteristics of Somatotype, the following results were found. 1) Compared to the Standard Somatotype, a rear hip part in the Forward Somatotype was more protruded and a lower abdomen was more flat. 2) Compared to the Standard, a rear hip part in the Turning over Somatotype was more flat and a lower abdomen was more protruded and its measurement was the least of 4 Somatotypes. 3) Compared to the Standard Somatotype, both lower abdomen and rear hip part in the Forward-Turning over Somatotype were more protruded and its measurement was the most of 4 Somatotypes. 5. The modification of slacks patterns by each characteristic of somatotype was as follows ; 1) Compared to the Standard Somatotype, the front center line of front in the Forward Somatotype should be moved 2.3˚ outward and the back center line of back also moved 1.8˚ to the slacks center line and crotch depth be 1cm longer. 2) Compared to the Standard Somatotype, the front center line of front in the Turning over Somatotype should be moved 5˚ to the slacks center line and the back center line of back be 0.7˚ outward. 3) Compared to the Standard Somatotype, the front center line and the back center line should be moved 3.6˚ and 2.3˚ respectively to the stacks center line, and the side line of both front and back be also let out 3.6˚ and 2.3˚ crotch depth, finished length-pants, hip part and thigh part of the lower crotch should be let out.

설편평세포암에서 CD44, MMP-2, MMP-9, TIMP-1의 발현

Adhesion molecules and proteinases play an important role in the invasion and metastasis of a malignant tumor. However, there have not been many studies on tongue squamous cell carcinoma at Saint Mary's Hospital and Kangnam Saint Mary's Hospital, the Catholic University of Korea, between 1994 and 2000, and had not received chemo-or radiotherapy. The expression of the adhesion molecules CD44H, proteinases MMP-2 and MMP-9, and TIMP-1, which controls MMP activity, was analyzed by immunohistochemistry. In addition their association with the tumor size, lymph node metastasis, clinical stage, and cell differentiation was evaluated. Increased MMP-2 expression was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis and clinical stage. However, it did not correlate with tumor size or cell differentiation. CD44H, MMP-9 and TIMP-1 expression were not significantly related to tumor size, lymph node metastasis, clincial stage and cell differentiation. The results suggest that MMP-2 is a possible immunohistochemical prognostic factor in tongue squamous cell carcinoma. Futher reasearches will be needed to investigate the additional tumor prognostic factors and their mechanisms.

This research aims to attract patients of AMA(Against Medical Advice). The patients are neglected because they are a few, but the patients are very important for hospital income. So, this study analysis patients of AMA. The analysis items are 1) a course of hospital, 2) health delivery system, 3) whether or not consultant, operation and transfer, 4) principle diagnosis, 5) specialty fields, 6) length of stay, so on. The results show that AMA of male, old, and emergency case is high. In principle diagnosis, AMA of cerebral infaction and fracture and liver disease is high. Therefore it's meaningful research for hospital management.

제주도에서 브루셀라에 의해 발생한 특발성 세균성 복막염

Spontaneous bacterial peritonitis is the common infectious disease in liver cirrhosis patients with a fever. Brucellosis is a rare cause of bacterial peritonitis. A case indigenous to a citizen of Jeju, he ate a raw veal of cow four times in last 2 months prior to admission. The gram-negative bacilli were isolated from blood and peritoneal fluid cultures. He was confirmed brucellosis by serologic work- ups. This isolate was confirmed as Brucella abortus by using PCR amplification of 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) and omp2. This is the first case of bruellosis that was diagnosed spontaneous bacterial peritonitis in liver cirrhosis patient among native korean citizens. Successful treatment was obtained by using a regimen of doxycycline and gentamicin. Brucella should be suspected as a cause of spontaneous bacterial peritonitis in cirrhotic patients with no response to standard spontaneous bacterial peritonitis treatments. 브루셀라증은 전 세계적으로 발생하는 인수공통 전염병중의 하나로, 국내에서도 해마다 환자가 증가하고 있는 상황이다. 본 증례는 간경화 환자에서 환자의 잘못된 지식을 바탕으로 소 태아 육회를 섭취한 이후 복수와 발열을 주소로 내원한 환자이다. 상기 과거력이 환자의 질환과의 직접적인 연관성을 밝히기는 어려우나 환자의 진단을 추정하는데 도움이 되었으며, 이러한 가능성을 배제하기 위해서라도 국내 유통에 있어서 좀더 적극적인 대체가 필요하다 하겠다. 상기 환자는 브루셀라에 의해 발생한 특발성 세균성 복막염 환자로 제주도에서 발생한 내국인의 첫 증례이기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

액시드 캅셀(니자티딘 150 mg)에 대한 넥스 캅셀의 생물학적 동등성

The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bioequivalence of two nizatidine capsules, Axid (Lilly Korea Pharm. Co., Ltd.) and Nex (Bi-nex Pharm. Co., Ltd.), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). The nizatidine release from the two nizatidine capsules in vitro was tested using KP Apparatus method with various dissolution media (pH 1.2, 4.0, 6.8 buffer solutions and water). The dissolution profiles of two nizatidine capsules were very similar at all dissolution media. Twenty four normal male volunters were divided into two groups with a randomized 22 cross-over study. After two capsules (300 ㎎ nizatidine) were orally administrated, blood as taken and the concentrations of nizatidine in serum were determined using HPLC with UV detector. The pharmacokinetic parameters such as AUC_(t), C_(max) T_(max) were determined. The result showed that the differences in AUC_(t), C_(max) and T_(max) between two nizatidine capsules absed on the Axid were-6.16%, -8.26% and -1.82%, respectively. There were no sequence effects between two capsules in these parameter. The 90% confidence intervals using logarithmically transformed data were within the acceptance range of log(0.8) to log(1.25)(e.g., log(0.91) ∼log(0.97) and log(0.85)∼log(0.99) for AUC_(t) and C_(max), respectively), indicating that Nex capsule is bioequivalent to Axid capsule.
