Computational classification models for predicting the interaction of compounds with hepatic organic ion importers

Hepatic transporters, a major determinant of pharmacokinetics, have been used to profile drug properties like efficacy. Among hepatic transporters, importers alter the concentration of the drug by facilitating the transport of a drug into a cell. Despite vast pharmacokinetic studies, the interacting mechanisms of the importers with its substrates or inhibitors are not well understood. Hence, we developed compound binary classification models of whether a compound is binder or nonbinder to a hepatic transporter with experimental data of 284 compounds for four representative hepatic importers, OATP1B1, OATP1B3, OAT2, and OCT1. Support Vector Machine (SVM) along with Genetic Algorithm (GA) was used to construct the classification models of binder versus nonbinder for each target importer. To construct the models, we prepared two data sets, a training data set from Fujitsu database (284 compounds) and an external validation data set from ChEMBL database (1738 compounds). Since an experimental classification criterion between binder and nonbinder has some ambiguity, there is an intrinsic limitation to expect high predictability of the binary classification models developed with the experimental data. The predictability of the classification models calculated with external validation sets were obtained as 77.72%, 84.31%, 84.21%, and 76.38 for OATP1B1, OATP1B3, OAT2, and OCT1, respectively.

The Republic of Tunisia, located in northern Africa, faces various environmental challenges caused by anthropogenic practices such as overgrazing, deforestation, and desertification. The conversion of natural ecosystems is the major cause of plant biodiversity loss. Tunisia can be divided into three main climatic zones as follows: a northern Mediterranean climate zone, a central steppe climate zone, and a southern desert climate zone. Because of this great environmental diversity, there are distinctive vegetation and various genetic resources in Tunisia. This research was conducted to investigate plant biodiversity within the various bioclimatic zones and to characterize useful plant resources in Tunisia. We investigated native, medicinal and aromatic, desert, and soil erosion control plant species.

On a basic theory of Mordern education, humanism has been developed as a basic teory of democracy and modern education after many changes of long spritual history, but today the subjectivity of human in itself which is fading and the restolation of self-ralization for human value is said to be a esenssial problem of modern educational theory. On the light of the historical development for humanism, first of all the core(essence) of humanism is a consequence of human problem, th ultimate value itself for democracy and this must be the background of foundmental idea of democracy. Humanism orgiened from romntic humanism at the central of Germany in late 18th century and it was changed into philanthropic humanitarianism and futhermore it was developed as a practical humanism at the central of America and as the basic cherecteristics of universal educationl theory and it has been dominated as a(groulious) precisu Pyramid in the history of modern human being. As a theorycal type of humanism, at first, humanical development of human was declared by Plto and Aristeles, and especially the nature of Pluto development theory of body and spritual harmony and Aristores human life, animalityve eability, and humanity, have same development common factor. The following arche-type which dismise liberism, imspite of the formeros veriarity and complication of human ability, is respected as a indespensible fact of human consturction ;respect of man talent and cultural things which is spite of liberism in case of rewpect culture. Examining the too archetype mentioned above, we cannot help admit that the humanism itself has fased for many centries in history to inword and outword charange. It is, first of all, the problem of Human unequality by special nature of given human and by univesalism. These problems are not only put to verious test in the object , contents method and system of education but also it is a profound problem of real education by measn of bringing severity in human beings more than real human problem.

CaTiO_3:Pr의 광물리적 성질에 대한 악티늄족 원소의 영향

The red emitting long decay phosphor comprised of praseodymium-activated calcium titanates has been optimized by replacing Ca^2+ ions with Zn^2+ ions and controlling concentrations of Ca^2+, Zn^2+ and Pr^3+ ions. The luminescent properties of this material with codoped actinides ions, Nd^3+, Eu^3+, Dy^3+ and Ho^3+ has been investigated in terms of emission intensities and decay times. These ions are not effective to slow down the decrease of emission intensities of modified praseodymium-activated calcium titanates. However, the brightest long decay phosphor has been obtained by addition of Ho as dopping materials. The optimized composition of modified praseodymium-activated calcium titanates was obtaind as (Ca_0.888,Zn_0.098)TiO_3:Pr_0.001,Ho_0.003.

Comparison of Electroencephalography (EEG) Coherence between Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) without Comorbidity and MDD Comorbid with Internet Gaming Disorder

<P>Internet gaming disorder (IGD) has many comorbid psychiatric problems including major depressive disorder (MDD). In the present study, we compared the neurobiological differences between MDD without comorbidity (MDD-only) and MDD comorbid with IGD (MDD+IGD) by analyzing the quantitative electroencephalogram (QEEG) findings. We recruited 14 male MDD+IGD (mean age, 20.0 ± 5.9 years) and 15 male MDD-only (mean age, 20.3 ± 5.5 years) patients. The electroencephalography (EEG) coherences were measured using a 21-channel digital EEG system and computed to assess synchrony in the frequency ranges of alpha (7.5–12.5 Hz) and beta (12.5–35.0 Hz) between the following 12 electrode site pairs: inter-hemispheric (Fp1–Fp2, F7–F8, T3–T4, and P3–P4) and intra-hemispheric (F7–T3, F8–T4, C3–P3, C4–P4, T5–O1, T6–O2, P3–O1, and P4–O2) pairs. Differences in inter- and intra-hemispheric coherence values for the frequency bands between groups were analyzed using the independent t-test. Inter-hemispheric coherence value for the alpha band between Fp1–Fp2 electrodes was significantly lower in MDD+IGD than MDD-only patients. Intra-hemispheric coherence value for the alpha band between P3–O1 electrodes was higher in MDD+IGD than MDD-only patients. Intra-hemispheric coherence values for the beta band between F8–T4, T6–O2, and P4–O2 electrodes were higher in MDD+IGD than MDD-only patients. There appears to be an association between decreased inter-hemispheric connectivity in the frontal region and vulnerability to attention problems in the MDD+IGD group. Increased intra-hemisphere connectivity in the fronto-temporo-parieto-occipital areas may result from excessive online gaming.</P>

라블레의 〈팡타그뤼엘〉 연작의 구성에서 주목할 수 있는 사실은 후기의 작품으로 갈수록 줄거리를 이루는 사건의 진행과는 무관한 이차적 이야기가 증가한다는 점이다. 실제로 제 3권과 제 4권에서는 등장인물들이 직접 행동으로 주위의 상황에 대처하는 대신 이에 대한 각자의 입장을 표현하는 간접적 수단으로써 단편적 예화를 주로 사용하는 새로운 경향을 보여주고 있다. 물론 이와 같이 화자 그룹을 설정하고 그들의 대화 형식으로 이야기를 전개하는 기법을 우리가 〈데카메론〉의 예에서도 살펴볼 수 있듯이 16세기 프랑스 단편집에서는 흔히 나타나는 현상이다. 그러나 그것이 일반적으로 하나의 인위적 틀 속에 잡다한 이야기를 묶기 위한 방편인데 비해서, 라블레의 경우는 소설 공간 속에 화자 그룹을 등장시킴으로써 작품 속에 나타나는 여러 사건에 대한 다양한 해석 가능성을 등장인물들의 이질적 시각을 통해서 제시한다는 데에 그 특징이 있다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 관점에서 이 논문에서는 이차적 이야기의 유형과 전개 방식을 일단 점검해보고, 이에 근거하여 단편적 예화가 작품 전체의 서술 구조와 어떠한 관련을 맺고 있는가 하는 문제를 살펴 보았다. 여기에서 우리는 라블레가 사건의 전개 자체를 등장인물들의 대화 중심으로 이끌어 나가고, 대화 속에 독립적인 일화를 폭넓게 사용함으로써, 초기 작품에서 볼 수 있었던 화자 한 사람을 중심으로 한 독점적 시각의 서술 양식에서 탈피하여 다양한 인물의 말과 시각을 통해 보다 사변적 문제에 접근하고 있다는 사실을 확인할 수 있었다.

Factors Which Contribute to the Registration Rate for the New Students in Their Second Semester

Korea National Open University(KNOU) has a successful history as the first and the largest distance education center in Korea since its foundation in 1972. However, KNOU is faced with several difficulties recently. One of the major difficulties is the sharp downward trend in the registration rate of the newly enrolled students. In this paper we analysed the contribution of orientation, study group, the lecturer, tutoring and professor’s email to the registration rate in the fall semester. The results showed that the study group, the lecturer, tutoring, and professor’s email contributed to the registration rate significantly. However, there were differences between the freshmen and the transfer students and also between the students at Seoul regional campuses and one of the local regional campuses and also between the students in the department of early childhood education and the students in the department of economics. Based on the results we recommended a couple of suggestions to help the new students to continue their studies in a distance education system.
