Philosophical Practices in Japan from School to Business Consultancy
( Yosuke Horikoshi ),( Tetsuya Kono ) 한국철학상담치료학회 2020 철학 실천과 상담 Vol.10 No.-
This article aims to introduce the recent movements regarding philosophical practice in Japan. In order to understand them in a better way, the historical development and background of philosophical practice shall be shown briefly in the first part. In the second part, three cases of relatively popular philosophical practices in Japan, that is, philosophy cafe, philosophy for/with children and philosophical consulting in the business settings are described as successful practices.
Interactively Instructing a Guide Robot through a Network
Yosuke Hoshi,Yoshinori Kobayashi,Tomoki Kasuya,Masato Fueki,Yoshinori Kuno 제어로봇시스템학회 2008 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2008 No.10
In this paper, we propose a remote-interactive mode for a museum guide robot. In this mode, the remote operator can interact with the robot by using voice and gestures through a network. The operator can instruct the robot what to do using nonverbal behaviors such as touching an object on the display screen while saying an instruction. For example, the operator can ask the robot, “Bring this brochure to him,” while first touching the brochure and then the person on the display. The brochure is detected and tracked using the SIFT feature matching between video camera images. After the robot takes the brochure, the robot detects and tracks the person, and then hands it to him to the person.
REPRESENTING SEQUENCES ON PARABOLIC BERGMAN SPACES
Yosuke Hishikawa 대한수학회 2011 대한수학회지 Vol.48 No.5
The parabolic Bergman space is the set of L^p(λ)-solutions of the parabolic operator L^(α). In this paper, we study representing sequences on parabolic Bergman spaces. We establish a discrete version of the reproducing formula on parabolic Bergman spaces by using fractional derivatives of the fundamental solution of the parabolic operator.

To achieve immune homeostasis in such a harsh environment as the intestinal mucosa, both active and quiescent immunity operate simultaneously. Disruption of gut immune homeostasis leads to the development of intestinal immune diseases such as colitis and food allergies. Among various intestinal innate immune cells, mast cells (MCs) play critical roles in protective immunity against pathogenic microorganisms, especially at mucosal sites. This suggests the potential for a novel MC-targeting type of vaccine adjuvant. Dysregulated activation of MCs also results in inflammatory responses in mucosal compartments. Theregulation of this yin and yang function of MCs remains to be elucidated. In this review, we focus on the roles of mucosal MCs in the regulation of intestinal allergic reaction, inflammation and their potential as a new target for the development of mucosaladjuvants.
Lymphadenectomy issues in endometrial cancer
Yosuke Konno,Hiroshi Asano,Ayumi Shikama,Daisuke Aoki,Michihiro Tanikawa,Akinori Oki,Koji Horie,Akira Mitsuhashi,Akira Kikuchi,Hideki Tokunaga,Yasuhisa Terao,Toyomi Satoh,Kimio Ushijima,Mitsuya Ishika 대한부인종양학회 2021 Journal of Gynecologic Oncology Vol.32 No.2
Objectives: This review aims to introduce preoperative scoring systems to predict lymphnode metastasis (LNM) and ongoing clinical trials to investigate the therapeutic role oflymphadenectomy for endometrial cancer. Methods: We summarized previous reports on the preoperative prediction models forLNM and evaluated their validity to omit lymphadenectomy in our recent cohorts. Next, wecompared characteristics of two ongoing lymphadenectomy trials (JCOG1412, ECLAT) toexamine the survival benefit of lymphadenectomy in endometrial cancer, and described thedetails of JCOG1412. Results: Lymphadenectomy has been omitted for 64 endometrial cancer patients who met low risk criteria to omit lymphadenectomy using our scoring system (LNM score) and no lymphaticfailure has been observed. Other two models also produced comparable results. Two randomizedphase III trials to evaluate survival benefit of lymphadenectomy are ongoing for endometrialcancer. JCOG1412 compares pelvic lymphadenectomy alone with pelvic and para-aorticlymphadenectomy to evaluate the therapeutic role of para-aortic lymphadenectomy for patients atrisk of LNM. For quality assurance of lymphadenectomy, we defined several regulations, includinglower limit of the number of resected nodes, and submission of photos of dissected area toevaluate thoroughness of lymphadenectomy in the protocol. The latest monitoring report showedthat the quality of lymphadenectomy has been well-controlled in JCOG1412. Conclusion: Our strategy seems reasonable to omit lymphadenectomy and could begeneralized in clinical practice. JCOG1412 is a high-quality lymphadenectomy trial in terms ofthe quality of surgical procedures, which would draw the bona-fide conclusions regarding thetherapeutic role of lymphadenectomy for endometrial cancer.
A Basic Study on Wheel Flange Climbing using Model Wheelset
Yosuke Nagumo,Katsuya Tanifuji,Junichi Imai 한국철도학회 2010 International Journal of Railway Vol.3 No.2
This paper deals with an experimental study on the wheel flange climbing of railway vehicles, which is a major factor leading to derailment. An experiment is carried out on a 1/5-scale model wheelset of a truck used on a standard-gauge track, which is placed on a roller rig. The lateral external force acting on the wheelset is ramped up until derailment occurs under the condition of a fixed attack angle and wheel-load unbalance ratio. Three parameters, the height of wheel lift, the lateral force, and the wheel load acting on the outer rail, are measured until derailment occurs. From these measurements, it is possible to observe the behavior of the wheelset and to elucidate how the attack angle, the wheel-load unbalance ratio and the lateral external force affect flange-climb derailment. Then, a numerical simulation is carried out using an analytical model based on a single wheelset. As a result, the flange-climb behavior observed in the experiment can be explained theoretically on the bases of the analytical results, although further improvement of the model is desired.

Conduction Peaking at Phase Transitions of As-grown Insulating BaTiO3 Single Crystals
Yosuke Urakami,Hirotaka Yoshioka,Yukio Watanabe 한국물리학회 2005 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.46 No.1
We have measured DC current-voltage characteristics of undoped semiinsulating BaTiO3 single crystals and found that the dc conductance dened by the measurements peaks at all three ferroelectric phase transitions of BaTiO3. The peaks are evident in crystals that possess a low coercive eld EC and have, in most cases, the spontaneous polarization component perpendicular to the surface. The conductance of the crystals is typically 1 n 1cm1 at the peak of the paraelectric-ferroelectric transition and exhibits a temperature dependence different from the thermal-activation type. The present study proves that the observed peaking represents a real carrier-onduction anomaly. This anomaly can be a manifestation of a new liquid-like state of electron polarization at phase transitions.
