      • NF‐AT5 is a critical regulator of inflammatory arthritis

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P><B>Objective</B></P><P>To investigate the role of NF‐AT5, an osmoprotective transcription factor, in synovial hyperplasia and angiogenesis in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>The expression of NF‐AT5 in synovial tissue and synoviocytes from RA patients was examined by immunohistochemistry and Western blot analysis, respectively. Messenger RNA (mRNA) in RA synoviocytes and human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) transfected with dummy small interfering RNA (siRNA) or NF‐AT5 siRNA were profiled using microarray technology. Assays to determine synoviocyte apoptosis and proliferation were performed in the presence of NF‐AT5 siRNA. VEGF<SUB>165</SUB>‐induced angiogenesis was assessed by measuring the proliferation, tube formation, and wound migration of HUVECs. Experimental arthritis was induced in mice by injection of anti–type II collagen antibody.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>NF‐AT5 was highly expressed in rheumatoid synovium, and its activity was increased by proinflammatory cytokines, such as interleukin‐1β and tumor necrosis factor α. The mRNA profiling of synoviocytes and HUVECs transfected with NF‐AT5–targeted siRNA revealed 3 major changes in cellular processes associated with the pathogenesis of RA: cell cycle and survival, angiogenesis, and cell migration. Consistent with these results, NF‐AT5 knockdown in RA synoviocytes and HUVECs inhibited their proliferation/survival and impeded angiogenic processes in HUVECs. Mice with NF‐AT5 haploinsufficiency (NF‐AT5<SUP>+/–</SUP>) developed a very limited degree of synovial proliferation, as seen on histologic analysis, and decreased angiogenesis, and they exhibited a nearly complete suppression of experimentally induced arthritis.</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>NF‐AT5 regulates synovial proliferation and angiogenesis in chronic arthritis.</P>

        운동심리학 : 운동요법과 한방요법에 의한 비만치료에서 관련증상 개선이 체중감량에 미치는 효과

        The purpose of this study is to examine and compare two cases, in treating obesity by exercise therapy and herbal medicine; first, treating and improving obesity-related side-symptoms and taking the prescribed medicine at the same time; second, taking prescribed medicine only. So the treating effects and results were clinically examined. Study examinees were 20 female obesity patients who came to D herbal-medical obesity-clinic located at Kongju City, Chungcheongnam-do; 10 out of them entered A group who would take prescribed medicine together with the treatment for obesity-related side-symptorns, and the rest of them entered B group who would take the prescribed medicine only. The experimental period was 6 weeks, and the differences of treatments were observed before and after conducting the medical experiment. Both A and B groups took both the herbal medicine, exercise therapy, and mat-exercise treatment. A group took the treatment for obesity-related side-symptoms such as edema, keen appetite(overeating), menstruation disorder, constipation together with the medicine prescribed to reduce body-weight. B group took mat exercise and herbal medicine that means weight-loss only. The exercise therapy was conducted as follows; treadmill exercise was conducted, VO<sub>2</sub>max and HRmax were measured; treadmill exercise(walking) was conducted 4 times a week, 30-40 minutes for one time, and the intensity of exercise was 50-60% of HRmax. And die experiment was conducted for 6 weeks. The measured physiologjcal, medical variables were body weight, body fat rate, abdomen fat rate, body fat quantity, musde quantity, VO<sub>2</sub>max, and Hrmax. The study results obtained after 6 weeks’ experiment are as follows; body fat rate, abdomen fat rate, body fat quantity, body weight, VO<sub>2</sub>max, and Hrmax of A group showed significant differences before and after conducting the treatment experiment(p<.05), whereas B group showed a significant difference of abdomen fat rate only(p<,01). And muscle quantities of A and B groups didn't show any significant differences. These study proved that the treatment effects were biggest when obesity-related side-symptoms were treated with mat exercise and herbal medicine, and the treatment of weight-loss was kept pace with at the same time. In conclusion, obesity treatment should consider not only weight-loss but also knowing all round, basic causes of obesity, taking herbal medical care for obesity-related side-symptoms. The above way would not only give practical effects for obesity treatment but also make patients participate in obesity-treatment programs and have confidence in successful obesity-cure.

      • 기업의 사회적 책임활동에 대한 조직구성원들의 정당성 인식, 조직기반 자긍심과 비윤리적 행동과의 관계

        본 연구는 조직구성원들의 기업의 사회적 책임활동(CSR: corporate social responsibility)에 대한 정당성 인식이 비윤리적 행동에 어떠한 영향력이 나타나는지 살펴보았다. 또한 이들 변수들 간 관계에서 조직기반 자긍심(OBSE: organization-based self-esteem)이 매개하는지도 살펴보았다. CSR 정당성 인식은 외재적 정당성과 내재적 정당성으로 구분하였으며, 비윤리적 행동은 개인 비윤리적 행동과 조직 비윤리적 행동으로 구분하였다. 조직 비윤리적 행동은 조직의 이익을 위해 조직구성원들이 비윤리적 행동을 하는 것으로 몇 몇 연구에서는 친조직 비윤리적 행동의 개념으로 연구가 수행되어졌다. 연구가설은 직접효과 가설과 매개효과 가설이며 설문을 통해 검증하였다. CSR을 시행하는 10개 기업에 근무하고 있는 조직구성원들로부터 수거된 315부의 설문을 최종분석에 활용하였다. 실증분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, CSR 외재적 정당성은 개인 비윤리적 행동과 조직 비윤리적 행동을 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, CSR 내재적 정당성은 조직 비윤리적 행동을 낮추고 있었다. 개인 비윤리적 행동에는 영향력이 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, OBSE는 개인과 조직 비윤리적 행동을 낮추고 있었다. 마지막으로 OBSE는 CSR 외재적, 내재적 정당성이 개인과 조직 비윤리적 행동에 미치는 영향력을 매개하고 있었다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 CSR에 대한 조직구성원들의 정당성 인식은 개인 그리고 조직 비윤리적 행동의 중요한 선행변수라는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 개인, 조직 비윤리적 행동으로 이어지는 과정에서 OBSE가 매개역할을 한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 기존 조윤형(2014)의 CSR과 비윤리적 행동 연구의 확장 측면에서 CSR 정당성 인식이 어떠한 과정을 통해 비윤리적 행동으로 이어지는지를 설명하였다는 점에서 의의를 가질 수 있다. The purpose of this study examine the effect of perceived CSR legitimacy on employees’ unethical behavior and verifying the mediation effect of organization-based self-esteem(OBSE) on those of relationship. Perceived CSR legitimacy consist of internal and external, and unethical behavior consist of unethical behavior toward individual and organization. Based on literature review of CSR legitimacy, unethical behavior and OBSE, I set up and drawing the main effect, mediating effect hypotheses. To test the hypotheses, survey method was performed. Total 315 employees selected sample from 10 firms listed at DJSI Korea. The results are as follows. First, perceived CSR external legitimacy significantly increase unethical behavior toward individual and organization. Second, perceived CSR internal legitimacy significantly decrease unethical behavior toward organization. Third, OBSE significantly decrease unethical behavior toward individual and organization. Finally, OBSE mediated between perceived CSR legitimacy and unethical behavior. Based on the results, perceived CSR internal legitimacy can have profound impact on the success of corporate’ ethical efforts which reduce employee’s unethical behavior. Also, this study is meaningful that explains mechanism of OBSE that linking of perceived CSR legitimacy and unethical behavior.

        비전명료성, CSR 정당성 인식이 은행원들의 고객지향성에 미치는 영향 : 서비스 자기효능감의 매개효과

        Today's service industry such as bank, banker’s customer orientation is more and more important because of service employees who exhibit a high degree of customer orientation engage in behaviors that increase the satisfaction of their customers and leading to competitive advantage and profit for service firms faced uncertain and competition environment to survival. So that many researchers have been conducted researches to identify antecedents variables of customer orientation. Based on the this research focus, we draw the perceived vision salience and CSR(corporate social responsibility) legitimacy are critical determinants of customer orientation that aim of this research was to investigate perceived vision salience and CSR legitimacy on the bankers’ customer orientation. Also we focus on domain-specific self-efficacy of service context are mediated between those of relationship based on the social cognitive theory(Bandura, 1989). After literature review, we proposed main effect and mediating effect hypothesis. To test hypothesis, survey method are performed which sample was set for K Bank located in Gwangju. The survey period was conducted twice in early June and late August 2019, with a time gap of about 3 months to overcome common method bias problem. Total 180 questionnaires used for analysis. The results are as follows. First, perceived vision salience have significantly positive impact on bankers’ customer orientation. however, perceived CSR legitimacy does not. Second, perceived vision salience and CSR legitimacy have significantly positive impact on service self-efficacy. Third service self-efficacy mediated relationship between perceived vision salience, CSR legitimacy and customer orientation. we found that bank show salient and shared the vision are beneficial to the bankers’ appropriate behavior when interacting with customers. Also bankers who perceive CSR activity of their bank is legitimate are more likely to engage in high level of service self-efficacy and then high on service self-efficacy leading to bankers’ understanding of customers' requirements for the effective delivery of needs and preferences and obtaining information through effective communication, and creating additional value. Managerial perspective, an organization should strive to develop, maintain enhance customer orientation to articulate salient vision and CSR activity are legitimated, and provide an insight into the necessary for the development of a customer orientation.

        무형식 학습이 조직구성원들의 고용가능성에 미치는 영향 : 개인-직무, 개인-조직 적합성의 조절효과

        The trend toward employees` assuming a more significant role in their own learning process, the importance being placed on learning as a core competency and lifelong process, and the recognition of learning as a source of sustainable competitive advantage for individuals and organizations alike have also stimulated tremendous interest in informal learning. Informal learning can best be described as learning that is predominantly unstructured, experiential, and noninstitutionalized. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of informal learning in the workplace on the employees` employability and the moderating effects of person-job, person-organization fit those of relationships. Based on literatures, Informal learning captured a category that, may occur in institutions, but it is not typically classroom based or highly structured, and control of learning rests primarily in the hands of the learner. Also employability is conceptualized as a form of work specific active adaptability that enables workers to identify and realize career opportunities. As such, employability facilitates the movement between jobs, both within and between organizations. Employability are divided into internal flexibility and external mobility, considering the application in internal labor market and external labor market. Because of employability has been broadly defined as the ability to gain and maintain employment, both within and across organizations(Finn, 2000). We proposed direct effects hypothesis and moderating effect hypothesis. To test hypothesis, total of 156 questionnaires were used for analysis. The results are as follows. First, informal learning was positive related to internal flexibility and external mobility. This result shows that informal learning is critical determinant of employability. Second, person-job fit moderate relationship between informal learning and internal flexibility, also informal learning and external mobility. Third, personal-organization fit moderate relationship between informal learning and internal flexibility. Base on the results, this study demonstrates the significant role plays informal learning in relation to employability. The findings of this study provide both theoretical and practical tools to help understanding of informal learning, employability and person-job, person-organization fit.
