        韓國産 하루살이目의 카탈로그. 裵淵宰 · 尹一炳^1 · 田東埈^2 (서울女子大學校, ^1高麗大學校 生物學科, ^2러시아科學院 動物學硏究所) 昆蟲硏究誌, 20: 31~50, 1994. 韓國産 하루살이目의 關한 硏究는 南北韓에 걸친 綜合的인 硏究가 이루어지지 못하였고, 1940년 以來 各種 文獻에 記錄된 種들에 있어서도 分類上 혹은 命名上 變動이 많았으나 이를 體系的으로 收錄하지 못하였다. 이 論文에서는 種合的인 文獻 및 模式標本 調査를 통하여 다음과 같이 韓國産으로 記錄된 56種의 命名상 有效한 種들에 대한 카탈로그를 작성하였다. Mayflies (Ephemeroptera) of Korea have been described in various literatures since 1940, but there have been many taxonomic or nomenciatural changes in the members of the order.       • 이산시간 I-PD형 제어기의 설계에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 Exact 모델매칭법에 기초한 이산시간 I-PD형 제어기를 설계한다. 보통의 모델 매칭은 이산시간 I-PD형 제어계와 경우 시스템의 지연시간 때문에 참조모델에 있어서 중요한 저차항의 매칭이 행해지지 않는 문제점이 발생된다. 따라서 임의의 참조모델에 대하여 모델매칭을 행하는 것이 불가능하다. 이것을 해결하기 위해 제어대상에 전치보상기를 새롭게 투입하고 확대계에 대하여 모델매칭을 행하는 방법에 관하여 고찰한다. 다음으로 위의 방법에 기초하여 제어기에 포함되는 PID 게인을 자동 조정한 적응 게인 조정법에 의한 I-PD형 제어기를 설계한다. 적응 게인 조정법을 사용한 오토튜닝 PID 제어계와 셀프튜닝 PID 제어계에 관한 연구가 보고되고 있지만 제어계 설계가 복잡했고 실제 장치화가 어려운 경우가 있었다. 본 연구에서 설계하는 적응 게인 조정법은 이산시간계에서의 설계방법이고 간단한 제어 알고리즘으로 구성되어 있어 실제로 제어계를 구현하는 것이 쉽다. Discrete-timeler based on exact model matching method is designed in this study. Usual discrete-time I-PD type controller leads to a matter of output errors which are due to time-delay element of the system. So it is impossible that model matching about spontaneous reference model. To settle this problem, a new I-PD type controller inserted a pre-compensator is used. According to this method, adaptive gain adjustment law is developed. Though Previous studies about auto-tuning and self-tuning PID controller by using adaptive gain adjustment method were published, they were complicated to design of controller and apply to actual plants. Adaptive gain adjustment law proposed in this paper is a method of design in discrete-time domain and it consists of simple control algorithm. Furthermore control system implementation is easy. In this study, discrete-time I-PD type controllers by model matching method and adaptive gain adjustment law are designed and simulated.

        TMAH-based wet surface pre-treatment for reduction of leakage current in AlGaN/GaN MIS-HEMTs

        The pre-passivation surface treatment process with tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH)-based wet solution was proposed for the minimization of the leakage current (I<SUB>leak</SUB>) in AlGaN/GaN metal-insulator-semiconductor high electron mobility transistors (MIS-HEMTs). This process step contributes to the simultaneous decrease of the surface current (I<SUB>surf</SUB>) in the active region of device and mesa-isolated region by removing the surface states and traps related to nitrogen (N) vacancy, Ga-oxide, and dangling bonds. Using the surface treatment, the fabricated device achieves a lower off-state current (I<SUB>off</SUB>) of ~10<SUP>-12</SUP>A/mm, a higher on/off current ratio (I<SUB>on</SUB>/I<SUB>off</SUB>) of ~10<SUP>11</SUP>, a small subthreshold swing (SS) of 68.4mV/dec. The reduced I<SUB>leak</SUB> also improves breakdown voltage (BV). In addition, the interface trap density (D<SUB>it</SUB>) between the SiN layer and the AlGaN surface was extracted to evaluate the quality of the SiN/GaN interface, which showed that the treatment decreases the D<SUB>it</SUB> with reduction of the surface defects.

      • 남해 연안해역에서 분리한 유해성 침편모조류 Chattonella ovata의 성장에 대한 수온, 염분 및 빛의 영향

        우리나라 남서해의 장홍연안에서 분리한 유해 유독 침편모조류 Chattonella ovata의 성장에 대한 수온, 염분 및 빛의 영향을 파악하였다. C. ovata는 수온 15~30℃, 염분 7.5~40 Psu 범위에서 성장하였다. 최대 성장속도는 0.47day?¹로 25℃와 30 psu 조합에서 관찰되었다. 최적 성장조건(최대 성장속도의 70% 이내)을 보인 수온과 염분의 범위는 각각 20~30℃, 15~35 psu로 나타났다. 이 결과, C. ovata는 고수온의 협온성 및 광염성 종으로 판단되었다. C. ovata는 30 μ㏖ m?²s?¹,이하의 광 조건에서는 성장이 이루어지지 않았고, 50 μ㏖ m?²s?¹,이상의 광 조건에서 성장하였다. 또한 본 연구에서 사용된 최대 광 조건인 800 m?² s?¹에서 광 저해현상은 보이지 않았다. 광 조건에 의해 유도된 성장식은 μ=0.56(I-14.8)/(I+33.9), (r=0.898)로 나타났으며, 이들의 보상광량(Ic)은 14.8 μ㏖ m?² s?¹, 반포화광량(Ks)은 63.5 μ㏖ m?² s?¹로 나타났다. The effects of water temperature, salinity and irradiance on the growth of hamful algae Chattonella ovata (Raphidophyceae) isolated from Jangheung coastal water in Southwestern Sea, Korea were investigated. C ovata was able to grow in temperatures of 15~30℃ and salinities of 7.5~40 psu. Maximum specific growth rate (0.47 day?¹) was observed with combination of 25℃ and 30 psu. Optimum growth (≥70% of maximum specific growth rate) was obtained with a range of 20~30℃, 15-35 psu, respectively. This result indicated that C. ovata is a stenothermal of the high water temperature and euryhaline organism C. ovata was did not grow at irradiance ≤30 μ㏖ m?² s?¹. And C. ovata was able to grow at ≥50 μ㏖ m?² s?¹. Photoinhibition did not occur at 800μ㏖ m?² s?¹, which was the maximum irradiance used in this study. The irradiance-growth curve was described as μ=0.56(I-14.8)/(I+33.9), (r=0.898) under 25℃ and 25 psu. The half-saturation photon flux density (Ks) was 63.5 μ㏖ m?² s?¹ and compensation photon flux density (Ic) was 14.8 μ㏖ m?² s?¹.

      • Effects of dextrorotatory morphinans on brain Na<sup>+</sup> channels expressed in Xenopus oocytes

        We previously demonstrated that dextromethorphan (DM; 3-methoxy-17-methylmorphinan) analogs have neuroprotective effects. Here, we investigated the effects of DM, three of its analogs (DF, 3-methyl-17-methylmorphinan; AM, 3-allyloxy-17-methoxymorphian; and CM, 3-cyclopropyl-17-methoxymorphinan) and one of its metabolites (HM; 3-methoxymorphinan), on Na<SUP>+</SUP> channel activity. We used the two-microelectrode voltage-clamp technique to test the effects of DM, DF, AM, CM and HM on Na<SUP>+</SUP> currents (I<SUB>Na</SUB>) in Xenopus oocytes expressing cRNAs encoding rat brain Nav1.2 α and β1 or β2 subunits. In oocytes expressing Na<SUP>+</SUP> channels, DM, DF, AM and CM, but not HM, induced tonic and use-dependent inhibitions of peak I<SUB>Na</SUB> following low- and high-frequency stimulations. The order of potency for the inhibition of peak I<SUB>Na</SUB> was AM-CM > DM=DF. The DM, DF, AM and CM-induced tonic inhibitions of peak I<SUB>Na</SUB> were voltage-dependent, dose-dependent and reversible. The IC<SUB>50</SUB> values for DM, DF, AM and CM were 116.7+/-14.9, 175.8+/-16.9, 38.6+/-15.5, and 42.5+/-8.5 μM, respectively. DM and its analogs did not affect the steady-state activation and inactivation voltages. AM and CM, but not DM and DF, inhibited the plateau I<SUB>Na</SUB> more effectively than the peak I<SUB>Na</SUB> in oocytes expressing inactivation-deficient I1485Q-F1486Q-M1487Q (IFMQ3) mutant channels; the IC<SUB>50</SUB> values for AM and CM in this system were 8.4+/-1.3 and 8.7+/-1.3 μM, respectively, for the plateau I<SUB>Na</SUB> and 43.7+/-5.9 and 32.6+/-7.8 μM, respectively, for the peak I<SUB>Na</SUB>. These results collectively indicate that DM and its analogs could be novel Na<SUP>+</SUP> channel blockers acting on the resting and open states of brain Na<SUP>+</SUP> channels.

        Source, composition and reactivity of sedimentary organic carbon in the river-dominated marginal seas: A study of the eastern Yellow Sea (the northwestern Pacific)

        <P>We investigated the source, composition and reactivity of sedimentary organic carbon (OC) in a river dominated continental marginal sea, the eastern Yellow Sea. A multi-proxy approach was applied to 9 riverbank sediments and 69 marine surface sediments, combining bulk and molecular organic parameters. The riverbank sediments (n=9) have on average low C/N ratio (4.8 +/- 0.5) and enriched delta C-13(Toc) values (-21.5 +/- 0.6%) while the BIT index is on average 0.27. The sedimentary OC in the marine surface sediments appears to have a predominantly marine origin (on average C/N ratio=7.0 +/- 0.6 and delta C-13(TOC)=-21.9 +/- 0.5%, n=69) with minor contribution of continental (i.e. soil- and lake/river-derived) OC (on average BIT index=0.00 +/- 0.01, n=69). However, the Delta C-14 values were depleted (on average - 227 +/- 53%, n=8). Accordingly, our results highlight that fossil OC, potentially derived from erosion of sedimentary bedrocks in the catchment areas and/or human activities is being contributed to the sedimentary OC pool in the eastern Yellow Sea. More work is needed to better constrain the source, composition, and age of the organic material supplied to the eastern Yellow Sea, given the lack of biogeochemical data from the Korean rivers.         소 성장호르몬 유전자의 Exon 5번에서의 새로운 다형성 연구

        성장호르몬 유전자는 하나의 작은 공통 선조 유전자로부터 아주 오랜 기간동안 유전자 중복에 의해 진화되어 온 그룹들 중의 하나이다. 이들에 속하는 유전자들은 동물 종간에 구조적인 상동성과 기능적 공통성 등 유사성이 비교적 높게 나타난다. 이런 연구결과들을 근거로 하여 소 성장호르몬 유전자에서 아미노산을 암호화하는 영역으로부터 새로운 아미노산의 변이(missense mutation)를 검출하였고, 이 변이의 대립유전자 빈도는 소(cattle)의 종(species) 및 품종의 지리적 분포에 따라 일정한 경향 치를 보여 주었다. 한편 변경되어진 아미노산은 Tryptophan으로 이는 생물체에 존재하는 많은 단백질들을 구성하는 아미노산중에서도 그 출현빈도가 가장 낮은 것이다. 또한 검출된 변이는 성장호르몬이 그의 수용체와 강하게 결합하는 부위로서, 성장호르몬의 구조적 변이를 초래하여 수용체와의 결합이 비정상적으로 이루어져, 이후 성장호르몬이 표적세포로의 신호전달과 같은 역할을 제대로 수행치 못하게 되고, 이로 인하여 가축의 표현되어지는 경제형질에 영향을 미칠 것으로 추정된다. 그러므로 이러한 대립유전자를 보유하는 개체는 집단에서 제거하는 방법에 의한 개량이 가능할 것으로 사료된다. Growth Hormone (GH) gene is a member of gene family through the evolutionary process from a small common ancestral gene by a series of gene duplications. The role of the GH in growth and performance controls has bees extensively studied in human, mice and livestock. Many researchers have considered GH as a strong candidate gene for evaluation of genetic polymorphisms that could be associated with economic traits in cattle. We report here a novel missense mutation within the exon 5 of the bovine Growth Hormone (bGH) gene. We could amplified 522 bp fragments from eight unrelated Hanwoo cattle by PCR, the, subsequently cloned and sequenced. An Msp I RFLP corresponding to a C to T transition was observed at position 2258 nt. From this result, we could predict a missense mutation (Arg to Trp) at codon 166 in a highly conserved region among many mammals. Codominant Mendelian segregation of the two alleles, Msp I (+) and Msp I (-), was observed in two full-sib F2 families (n = 32, African taurine Bos taurus × African zebu Bos indicus) and eight half-sib Hanwoo families. For the availability of genetic marker, we have performed PCR-RFLP with a large number of individual animals from 15 different cattle breeds (European and Asian taurines. and African indicines). Consideration of breed frequencies of Msp I (=) allele in relation to breed type and their geographic origins, shows higher frequencies in humped breeds or Asian cattle breeds than in humpless or European breeds. This result indicates that the missense mutation can be contributed the functional significance such as the signal transduction through the receptor binding also may be used as a marker for selection of the economic traits in Hanwoo.

      • 慶熙醫療院 附屬韓方病院의 韓藥豫製劑 및 個別藥材 使用實態에 關한 硏究

        In order to find out the current tendency of medication practiced for 8 years, 1980-1987, at the Oriental Medicine Hospital, Kyung-Hee University Medical Centre, the published data on the usage of herbal preparations and crude material medica were further analysed. In practice, four doctrines of prescriptions are currently in use in Korean traditional medicine, namely,(i) "sang-han" (originated from "Sang-Han-Lon") : (ii) "hu-se" (from so-called the late Chinese traditional medicine) : (iii) "sa-sang"(form Lee Chemas(李濟馬), Korean constitutional medicine) and (iv) oriental medical doctor's own empirical prescription. Some of important findings were as fellows : 1.The ratio between the use of two forms of medications packted herbs and herbal preparations(pills or liquid etc) was 59% and 41%. 2.Of 1,104 kinds of prescriptions available, numbers of prescriptions lead to consumption of more than 10,000 packets during any one year were 252, which occupied 23% of the total number of proscriptions issued. These 252 kinds of prescriptions were based on the following four doctrines perceived in Korean traditional medicine : "hu-se"(173 kinds or 69%) : "sa-sang"(52 or 20%) : doctor's own empirical(24 or 10%) and "sang-han"(3 or 1%). 3.The usage of 76 popular herbal preparations according to classification of disorders was : for general purpose, e.g., tonicum-21 kinds or 28% : gastroin-testinal disorders-17 or 22% ; neuro-psychiatric disorders-6 or 8% ; diseases of circulatory system-6 or 8% ; gynaecological disorders-5 or 7% : musculo-ske-letal disorders-4 or 5% ; paediatric disorders-4 or 5% etc etc in order. 4.The kind of prcscriptions which was ranked at the top in the consumption was "bo-hyul-an-shin-tang(補血安神湯)". A total of 313.914 packets was used for eight years. 5.The amount of the usage of crude herbs was highest for Fraxini cortex(陳皮). followed by Atractylodes rhizoma alba(白□), Angelicae gigantis(當歸), clycyrrhizae radix(甘草) and Dioscoreae rhizoma(山□). 6.The numbers of species of orudc herbs which were consumed more than 100kg during any one year were 131. Among them, diuretica comprising 11 material was ranked at the top.

        <P>Transient electronics represent an emerging class of technology comprising materials that can vanish in a controlled manner in response to stimuli. In contrast to conventional electronic devices that are designed to operate over the longest possible period, transient electronics are defined by operation typically over a short and well-defined period; when no longer needed, transient electronics undergo self-deconstruction and disappear completely. In this work, we demonstrate the fabrication of thermally triggered transient electronic devices based on a paper substrate, specifically, a nitrocellulose paper. Nitrocellulose paper is frequently used in acts of magic because it consists of highly flammable components that are formed by nitrating cellulose by exposure to nitric acid. Therefore, a complete and rapid destruction of electronic devices fabricated on nitrocellulose paper is possible without producing any residue (i.e., ash). The transience rates can be modified by controlling radio frequency signal-induced voltages that are applied to a silver (Ag) resistive heater, which is stamped on the backside of the nitrocellulose paper. The Ag resistive heater was prepared by a simple, low-cost stamping fabrication, which requires no harsh chemicals or complex thermal treatments. For the electronics on the nitrocellulose paper substrate, we employed semiconducting carbon nanotube (CNT) network channels in the transistor for superior electrical and mechanical properties.</P>
