용호비결 연단술의 분석심리학적 의미

용호비결은 조선 중기의 문신이던 정렴(1506~1549년) 선생이 저술한 일종의 선도(仙道) 수련서로 매월당 김시습의 용호론의 맥을 잇는 조선시대 가장 중요한 도교문헌의 하나라고 할 수 있다. 본 논문은 정렴 선생과 용호비결 판본에 대하여 소개하고 책의 제목인 용호(龍虎), 책의 내용 중 수단지도(修丹之道), 폐기(閉氣), 호흡법, 단전(丹田), 현빈일규(玄牝一竅)의 연금술적 내용을 분석심리학적 측면에서 살펴보았다. 용호(龍虎)는 정신양(psychoid) 단계에서 작용하는 변환의 요소로 이를 통하여 단(丹)이 만들어지는데 단(丹)은 메르쿠리우스이자 철학자의 돌로 연금술의 적화 단계를 의미하기도 한다. 정렴 선생은 단(丹)을 이루기 위하여 가늘고 긴 호흡을 통한 단전에의 집중을 강조하였는데 이를 폐기(閉氣)라고 한다. 폐기(閉氣)는 능동적으로 니그레도(nigredo)상태로 들어가는 것으로 이때 우리의 정신은 외부로 향한 투사를 거두어들여 단전(丹田)을 향해 집중한다. 니그레도를 통한 지속적인 수련은 알베도(albedo)상태로의 이행을 가능케 하며 이를 통해 투사에 의한 객체의 오염으로부터 정신이 자유로와져 마음의 중심이 자아(ego)로부터 자기(Self)로 옮겨간다. 현빈일규(玄牝一竅)란 노자가 곡신(谷神)으로 표현한 우주의 여성적 원리를 경험하고 이를 체화하는 것이다. The article is about Yong-Ho-Bi-Gyeol(龍虎秘訣), which is one of the most important Taoist text in Korea written by Jeong-Ryum, a Taoist and alchemist in the Chosun Dynasty. The article deals with the alchemical and psychological meanings of Yong-Ho (龍虎, Dragon-Tiger), the way of nurturing cinnabar (修丹之道), the closing of the qi (閉氣), the method of alchemical breathing, the Dantian (丹田, cinnabar-field), and the Mysterious Female’s One Opening (玄牝一竅), in addition to the brief introduction of the life of Jeong-Ryum and the bibliography of the book. The Yong-Ho (龍虎) meaning the dragon and tiger is the archetype of transformation in the form of their opposites, rooted in the psychoid system of the human psyche. The unified Yong-Ho makes Dan and the Dan, literally indicating cinnabar, has many alchemical connotations such as Mercurius, the rubedo state of the alchemical process, and the philosopher’s stone. In the book, Jeong-Ryum emphasized the slow and subtle way of breathing in and out of Dantian to develop neidan (內丹, inner cinnabar or inner alchemy). The refining of neidan begins by the closing of the qi, which symbolizes the radical introversion and withdrawal of all the projections on the outer objects. The Dantian located at the lower part of the abdomen has been known to preserve jing (精), the vital essence of life, which can be refined into qi and spirit (神). In Jungian perspective, the Dantian is a mandala where an individual’s mind can stay and focus at the center of psyche detached from ego and related to the Self. The long-nurtured introverted energy makes the Mysterious Female’s One Opening (玄牝一竅), a pit or cavity in the transcendental space, through which the meditator can have a relationship with the great female principle of the universe. The current article has introduced the contents of the Yong-Ho-Bi-Gyeol in the perspective of analytical psychology. However, it has not dealth with the remaining topics including Taesik (胎息, embryonic breathing) and Juchenhwahu (周天火候, the great Celestial circuit firing), due to the lack of author’s sufficient knowledge and experience. The unexplored areas of Yong-Ho-Bi-Gyeol will be studied in the future.

신채호 시의 구조화 방식

신채호 시에 대한 연구는 드물다. 또한 기존 연구들은 그의 사상적 맥락에 대한 주석으로 시를 해석하거나 계열화하는 데 그쳤다. 이 논문은 외재적 특질로 내재적 특질을 포괄하는 방식을 탈피하여 반대로 내재적 특질을 축출하고 분석함으로써 시적 의미가 형성되는 과정을 살피고자 한다. 이를 위해 신채호 시의 구조화 방식으로 사용된 비유 체계에 주목하여 시적 발화 양상을 고찰함으로써 시적 주체가 지향하는 바를 추적하였다. 신채호는 주체를 자연물과 동일시하는 방법을 통해 시를 의미화한다. 우선 그는 '자연물 들기'라는 은유적 구성을 통해 자연물과 시적 주체의 간접적인 동일시를 이룸으로써 시적 주체의 각성을 견인하고자 한다. 이는 자연물의 주체화라고 명명할 수 있는데 이 과정에서는 글쓰기 행위에 대한 반성이 반영되기도 한다. 또한 그는 '자연물 되기'라는 상징적 구성을 통해 자연물과 시적 주체의 직접적인 동일시를 성립시킴으로써 시적 주체의 실천을 종용하고자 한다. 이는 주체의 자연물화라고 명명할 수 있는데 이 과정에서는 순결한 희생을 통해 실천을 추동하는 제의적 경향이 나타나기도 한다. 이러한 분석은 신채호의 사상적 전개가 민족주의에서 무정부주의에 이르기까지 급격하게 선회되는 과정으로만 해석되지 않는다는 것을 보여준다. 자연물은 어떤 조직적 지도체계에 의해 작동되지 않고 자연물 간의 상호영향이 자연스럽게 구축하는 자존적 질서에 의해 움직이는 것이다. 그것은 세계의 갱신이 구성원 개별 주체 각각의 각성과 실천에 의해 이루어질 수밖에 없다는 시적 전언과 맞물려 그의 사상적 경향이 보다 다양한 회로 속에서 전개되었음을 유추하게 한다. There are few research on the poems of Shin Chaeho. If there are, researchers just interpret or categorize his poems as an explanation for his ideological background. This paper does not adopt the method by which extrinsic characteristics embraces intrinsic ones. Instead, I am going to review the procedure how poetic connotations are developed in his poems by extracting analyzing intrinsic characteristics in his poems. For that purpose, I traced the orientation of poetic subject by reviewing how a poem is inspired in him, paying attention to metaphoric structure he used in his poems as a method of structuralization. Shin signifies his poems by identifying subject with natural objects. First, he tries to let poetic subject awakened by identifying natural objects with poetic subject indirectly through metaphoric structuralization called 'putting up natural objects'. It could be named as 'making natural objects subject', during which introspection for writing is reflected. In addition, he tries to coax practice of poetic subject by identifying natural objects with poetic subject directly through symbolic structuralization called 'becoming natural objects'. It can be named as 'becoming natural objects of subjects', during which ritual inclination tends to appear which draws practice through pure sacrifice. Such analysis shows that Shin's ideological development is not just interpreted as a procedure in which it is radically turned from nationalism to anarchism. Natural object doesn't work according to certain systemic leadership, but moves according to self-existential order in which coeffect between natural objects is constructed naturally. It makes us infer that Shin's thought was developed in more diversified circuit connected with poetic message that renewal of the world cannot but happen according to the enlightenment and practice of individual subject of members.

The Politics of Reason: Not Vertical but Horizontal Values

The purpose of this paper is to study on reason, or the process of reasoning, in the age of Emersonian Enlightenment, by backcasting the circumstances and conditions in which new way of thinking had been established. On the threshold of 19th century, the reason had been believed to be a standard point for development and prosperity, and rational thinking had been given first priority above all things. In making a newly-born nation, it was important to focus on the values of individuals, and the advocacy on individual practices of reason served as driving forces to establish reason-centered social systems. However, this intellectual tradition only allows for majorities to have arbitrary legitimacy over minorities by self-declaring its invincible and absolute truth. Behind its legitimacy, there have been a dark side where a certain individual or a group of interests who asserts his or her rights in the name of reason in order to exclude and marginalize people who are against them. In this respect, this paper takes an example of statement made by a presidential candidate who wants be the president of the United States of America, which is multi-cultural and multi-racial nation. This practice of labeling according to race, religion, and skin colors is thought to be an act of violence that hinders the world prosperity. In making an external enemy, the members of the community exploit their reason, or reasoning, as an aggressive mechanism. By self-relying on reason and by instilling the biased point of view, the legitimacy and its supremacy are secured and handed down to the White Anglo-Saxon Protestants who think themselves as the most reasonable creature. Times, when the reason, rationality, and Enlightenment have same meaning with human advancement, came to an end. Tolerance, generosity, and embracement which were thought to be less vital are needed on the basis of equal rights and reciprocal hospitality between citizens and on the conviction that no one will acquire an enormous privilege to discriminate them on the ground of one's race, sex, religion, preference, and values.

A Multi-Center Educational Research Regarding Breastfeeding for Pediatrics Residents in Korea

Purpose: Pediatricians have a significant responsibility to educate mothers about the importance of breastfeeding. However, there have been minimal efforts in the courses of resident training in Korea. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the change in knowledge and attitude before and after a 4-week breastfeeding educational intervention among multicenter residents. Methods: Prospective interventional educational research was designed for residents at eight training hospitals in Korea. Institutional reviews were obtained in each hospital. The education curriculum consisted of 14 courses regarding breastfeeding theory and practice. These materials were used to teach pediatric residents for 4 weeks. Knowledge-based tests were administered before the course, and re-tests were administered after the course using different test items of similar levels. Test scores and survey responses were compared before and after the intervention. Results: A total of 73 residents (1st year 20, 2nd year 23, 3rd year 16, and 4th year residents 14) from eight training hospitals completed the intervention. Their average age was 30.3±2.9 years, 17 (23.3%) were male, 22 (30.1%) were married, and eight had more than one child of their own. The mean pre-test score was 61.8±13.4 and the mean post-test score was 78.3±7.5 (P<0.001). The inter-grade difference in the score was significant in the pre-test (P=0.005), but not significant in the post-test (P=0.155). There were more responses of obtaining confidence after the intervention (P<0.001). Conclusion: In our study, pediatric residents showed improvement in their knowledge and confidence level after 4 weeks of the breastfeeding curriculum. Changes in the global business environment continue at an accelerated pace. The 21st century maybe remarked, perhaps, for its hot issues on globalization and diversity. Diversity may arise in terms of ethnic, gender, age and culture. Cultural diversity out of all stands out in front in modern times as more multinational companies operate internationally resulting more people to start living abroad and work with people from different cultures. In recent years, these multinational companies realized the important roles human resource management play in international trade since cultural diversity is very influential on their work performance. A well-managed human resources will ensure organizations' success to a great extent. This paper touches the field of cultural diversity and introduces human resource management of international trade as a way to handle diversity matters faced by international organizations.

음운 교육 내용으로 <표준 발음법>이 타당한가

Even though Korean native speakers don’t know the ‘Korean standard pronunciation rules’, they can pronounce the standard pronunciation. In other words, actual Korean native speaker"s pronunciation is different from ‘Korean standard pronunciation rules". Teaching ‘Korean standard pronunciation rules’ means teaching the articles of ‘Korean standard pronunciation rules". I agree that phonology education should include standard pronunciation, but I oppose to include ‘Korean standard pronunciation rules’ in the curriculum of Korean language education. In the current curriculum, the contents of phonology unit in the grammar section, in particular, is similar to the contents of ‘Korean standard pronunciation rules’. However, "Korean standard rules" are fundamentally different from the grammar rules in that the contents of phonology unit in grammar aims to research purposes whereas the pronunciations rules are not. Moreover, the "standard rules" are for judging what is right or wrong in pronouncing Korean, which is not a desirable goal of phonology education. In this thesis, therefore, I insist that the contents of ‘Korean standard pronunciation rules’ should be removed from the phonology unit of the grammar section.

지하역사 승강장 및 대합실 평상시/비상시 급ㆍ배기 환기 Large Eddy Simulation

The turbulent flow behavior of air supply and exhaustion in the Shin-gum-ho subway station is analyzed for ordinary and emergency state. The depth of Shin-gum-ho station is 43.6m which consists of the island-type platform(8th floor in underground) and a two-story lobby (first & second floor in underground). An emergency stairway connects between the platform and the lobby. Ventilation operation mode for ordinary state is set up as a combination of air supply and exhaustion in the lobby and platform, while for emergency state it is set up as a full air supply in the lobby and a full exhaustion in the platform. The entire station is covered for simulation. The ventilation diffusers are modeled as 95 square shapes of 0.6m?0.6m in the lobby and as 222 square shapes of 0.6m×0.6m and 4 rectangular shapes of 1.2m×0.8m in the platform. The total of 7.5million grids are generated and whole domain is divided to 22 blocks for MPI efficiency of calculation. Large eddy simulation(LES) is applied to solve the momentum equation and Smagorinsky model(C<SUB>s</SUB>=0.2) is used as SGS subgrid scale) model. The time-averaged velocity fields are compared to experimental data and show a good agreement with it.

천공성 환상 육아종

We present a case of perforating granuloma annulare which appeared as multiple small papular lesions with central umbilication on the dorsum of both foot and sides of foot, The patient was a 12 year-old female child who had slightly tender lesions of one month's duration. Histologic study showed perforation of the epiderrnis and release of the abnormal necrobiotic material transepiderrnally. The epidermal perforation communicated with area of granuloma annulare in the dermis that consist of necrobiotic collagen surrounded by palisading mononucler phagocytes in the dermis. All the lesions resolved spontaneously with a slight hyperpigmentation in 4 months. She also had erythematous tender nodules, which diagnosed as erythema nodosum, on both shins. The lesions responded to potassium iodide 1.0g for 2 weeks.
