      • 제주 전통 종교 신화와 의례의 학술적 가치

        유요한 ( Yoo¸ Yohan ) 한국종교학연구회 2021 宗敎學硏究 Vol.39 No.-

Just as articulated as National Intangible Heritage by Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea in the designation announcement of Jeju keun-gut, the Jeju traditional shamanic religion can be said to be “living” and is very valuable as systematic academic materials. Many Jeju people still outline the principle of their lives on the basis of traditional myths and reenact the myths in carrying out rituals at each stage of their lives, at both the level of community and that of family. Jeju myths provide people an overall worldview that covers perspectives of human beings, souls, nature, gods, and cosmos. Jeju myths not only demonstrate the characteristics of Korean shamanism, more specifically, those of Jeju shamanic tradition, but also help students attain better understandings of myth itself. Likewise, Jeju rituals, including keun-gut, are useful materials for comprehending general properties of ritual, while showing distinct aspects of the Jeju religion. Jeju rituals are also invaluable for studying the Korean shamanic tradition, in that they contain religious thoughts and practices that are now difficult to be seen in most places of Korea. Hereafter, more comprehensive and better organized research on the Jeju religion than now should be conducted.

Functional Understanding of Comma in Designing ESP Course

        ( Yohan Hwang ) 한국ESP학회 2019 ESP REVIEW Vol.1 No.1

To date, there has been a renewed and steady interest in designing language syllabuses based on functional grounds, moving away from structural understanding of a language. This trend has been particularly strong in the development of ESP (English for Specific Purpose) since ESP focuses on developing authentic and contextualized English skills in a specific discipline. Based on theoretical understanding of functional discourse grammar and pedagogical focus of ESP, the main purpose of this paper is to examine the functional way of teaching English punctuation, especially a comma usage, instead of focusing on the linguistic location specified by its rules. In order to accomplish this goal, this paper explores diverse incidents of commas used in journalistic writing, a U.S. college newspaper (The Daily Collegian). Particularly, it not only gives attention to the relation with certain grammatical features that necessitate the presence of a comma, but also it delves into the use of commas, which is beyond the basic rules. Based on the result, this study suggests several pedagogical implications for functional approaches of ‘language in use’ in designing ESP grammar courses beyond the traditional rule-oriented instruction.

Synthetic strategy for thienothiophene-benzotriazole-based polymers with high backbone planarity and solubility for field-effect transistor applications

Yohan Jo,Jong Gyu Oh,Cheulhwan Kim,Tae Kyu An,Jaeyoung Jang,Jihoon Lee 한국공업화학회 2020 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.86 No.-

We report on a synthetic strategy for a series of thienothiophene-benzotriazole-based polymers—octyl-PTTBTz-F, Si-PTTBTz, and Si-PTTBTz-F—wherein conformational locks are introduced to induce intra- and intermolecular interactions (F···S, F···H–C, and C–F···πF) for high backbone planarity and siloxane-terminated side chains are introduced to increase solubility. The three polymers were utilized as active layers in organic field-effect transistors, and the effects of thermal annealing on the polymer crystallinity and device performances were studied. Although the fluorine-atom-substituted octyl-PTTBTz-F showed a moderate hole mobility of up to 4.2 × 10−3 cm2 V−1 s−1 with enhanced molecular orientation because of conformational locks, it had poor solubility in common organic solvents. The Si-PTTBTz polymer with the siloxane-terminated side chains showed good solubility but inferior device performance with a hole mobility of up to 2.2 × 10−4 cm2 V−1 s−1. The rationally designed Si-PTTBTz-F polymer, which contains both fluorine atoms in the backbone and siloxane-terminated groups in the side chains, showed an excellent hole mobility of up to 0.11 cm2 V−1 s−1 and good solubility in common organic solvents.

Secure and Scalable Key Aggregation Scheme for Cloud Storage

        YoHan Park(박요한),YoungHo Park(박영호) 한국산업정보학회 2015 한국산업정보학회논문지 Vol.20 No.2

As the communication technology and mobile devices develop, the need for the efficient and secure remote storage is required. And recently, many companies support cloud storages to meet the requirements of the customers. Especially in the business field where various companies collaborate, data sharing is an essential functionality to enhance their work performance. However, existing researches have not fully satisfied the requirement either efficiency and security. This paper suggests efficient and secure data sharing scheme for cloud storage by using secret sharing scheme. Proposed scheme can be applied to business collaborations and team projects.

Nonisolated ZVZCS Resonant PWM DC–DC Converter for High Step-Up and High-Power Applications

Yohan Park,Byoungkil Jung,Sewan Choi IEEE 2012 IEEE transactions on power electronics Vol.27 No.8

<P>The demand for nonisolated high step-up dc-dc converters in applications such as dc backup energy systems for UPS, photovoltaic and fuel cell systems, and hybrid electric vehicles has been gradually increasing. This paper proposes nonisolated step-up dc-dc converters with an improved switching method. The proposed converter shows zero-voltage switching turn-on of the switches in continuous conduction mode as well as reduced turn- off switching losses owing to the switching method that utilizes Lr-Cr resonance in the auxiliary circuit. Also, as a result of the proposed switching method, the switching losses associated with diode reverse recovery become negligible even in the small duty cycle. The capacitance in the auxiliary circuit is significantly reduced compared to the pulsewidth modulation method. The duty cycle loss is further reduced resulting in increased step-up ratio. Experimental results from a 2-kW prototype of a two-phase interleaved version are also provided to validate the proposed concept.</P>

Relationship between of working hours, weekend work, and shift work and work-family conflicts among Korean manufacturers

        Yohan Lee,SooYoung Lee,Yoon-Ji Kim,Youngki Kim,Se-Yeong Kim,Dongmug Kang 대한직업환경의학회 2022 대한직업환경의학회지 Vol.34 No.-

Background: In the manufacturing industry, work-family conflict (WFC) is related to working hour characteristics. Earlier studies on the relationship between working hour characteristics and WFC in the manufacturing industry have been limited to some regions in Korea. No study has addressed the data on a national scale. Thus, this study investigated the impact of weekly working hours, weekend work, and shift work on WFC using national-scale data. Methods: This study was based on the fifth Korean Working Conditions Survey of 5,432 manufacturers. WFC consists of 5 variables; WFC1 “kept worrying about work”; WFC2 “felt too tired after work”; WFC3 “work prevented time for family”; WFC4 “difficult to concentrate on work”; WFC5 “family responsibilities prevented time for work”. As WFC refers to the inter-role conflict between the need for paid work and family work, WFC has been measured in two directions, work to family conflict (WTFC: WFC1, 2, 3) and family to work conflict (FTWC: WFC4, 5). With these WFC variables, we conducted multiple logistic analyses to study how working hours, weekend work, and shift work impact WFC. Results: Korean manufacturers’ prolonged working hours increased all aspects of WFCs. Odds ratios (ORs) of WFCs based on working hours (reference of under 40 hours) of 41–52, 53–60, over 61 were 1.247, 1.611, 2.279 (WFC1); 1.111, 2.561, 6.442 (WFC2); 1.219, 3.495, 8.327 (WFC3); 1.076, 2.019, 2.656 (WFC4); and 1.166, 1.592, 1.946 (WFC5), respectively. Shiftwork in the WFC2 model showed a significantly higher OR of 1.390. Weekend work ‘only on Saturday’ had significant ORs with WFC2 (1.323) and WFC3 (1.552). Conclusions: An increase in working hours leads to the spending of less time attending to problems between work and family, causing both WTFC and FTWC to increase. As weekends, evenings, and nighttime are considered to be family-friendly to people, working on weekends and shift-work were highly correlated to WTFC.
