        RAR-Related Orphan Receptor: An Accelerated Preeclampsia Progression by Activating the JAK/STAT3 Pathway

        Purpose: To investigate the effect and underlying mechanism of RAR related orphan receptor A (RORA) on preeclampsia (PE). Materials and Methods: Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in four datasets were obtained by using the Venn diagram method. RORA mRNA and protein expressions were detected by qRT-PCR, western blot, and immunohistochemistry. HTR-8/SVneocell viability, proliferation, invasion, migration, and angiogenesis were detected by CCK-8 assay, EdU assay, Transwell, woundhealing assay, and tube formation assay, respectively. The concentration of Ang-1 in cells was assessed using available ELISA kit. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition, proliferation, and angiogenesis-related proteins were detected by western blot. GSEA analysiswere performed for common DEGs, and the expression of enriched pathway-related proteins was also detected. Results: The expression of RORA was increased in PE tissue and HTR-8/SVneo cells. Silencing RORA could promote the migration,invasion, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, proliferation, and angiogenesis of hypoxia-treated HTR-8/SVneo cells. Mechanistically,RORA contributed to the deterioration of PE by activating the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway to promote cell proliferation,migration, invasion, and angiogenesis. Conclusion: RORA was up-regulated in PE and affected HTR-8/SVneo cell proliferation, invasion, migration, apoptosis, and angiogenesisvia the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway. This provided a novel strategy for the prevention and treatment of PE.

        Invariant NKT cells facilitate cytotoxic T cell activation via direct recognition of CD1d on T cells

        Invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells are a major subset of NKT cells that recognize foreign and endogenous lipidantigens presented by CD1d. Although iNKT cells are characteristically autoreactive to self-antigens, the role ofiNKT cells in the regulation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) has been elucidated using α-galactosylceramide(α-GalCer), a strong synthetic glycolipid that is presented by professional antigen presenting cells (APCs), such asdendritic cells. Despite the well-known effects of α-GalCer and dendritic cells on lipid antigen presentation, thephysiological role of endogenous antigens presented by CTLs during crosstalk with iNKT cells has not yet beenaddressed. In this study, we found that antigen-primed CTLs with transient CD1d upregulation could present lipid selfantigensto activate the iNKT cell production of IFN-γ. CTL-mediated iNKT cell activation in turn enhanced IFN-γproduction and the proliferation and cytotoxicity of CTLs. We also found that the direct interaction of iNKT cells andCTLs enhanced the antitumor immune responses of CTLs. This partially explains the functional role of iNKT cells in CTLmediatedantitumor immunity. Our findings suggest that in the absence of exogenous iNKT cell ligands, iNKT cellsenhanced the CTL production of IFN-γ and CTL proliferation and cytotoxicity via direct interaction with CD1dexpressed on T cells without interacting with APCs.

        Robust Super-Repellent Anisotropic Silica Films by Emulsion-Based Sol–Gel Growth

        In this paper, anisotropic SiO2 with different morphologies were synthesized through an emulsion-based one-pot method by adding various silane coupling agents. Silane coupling agents affected the growth of silica nanostructures at the oil/water interfaces. Robust super-repellent film that showed great durability under different harsh conditions were obtained by bonding the self-assembled anisotropic silica nanostructures (ASN) film to substrate by the commercial acrylic adhesive. The ¯lm switched from superhydrophobic (157.1°) to superhydrophilic (0°) after being heat-treated at 500 ℃. Further, silane treatment with addition of acid reduced the time of modification. Meanwhile, silane grafting density was improved and superhydrophobicity of calcinated ASN films was regenerated.

        The purpose of this paper is to explore underlying antecedents for inconspicuous luxury motivations by developing and testing a conceptual model under the self-concept mechanism with the influence of cultural capital. A questionnaire-based survey is used to collect data, and structural equation modeling is applied to analyze the data. Although growing interests in academia focus on the relationship between cultural capital and inconspicuous luxury, quantitative studies are scant. This research contributes to the literature by empirically investigating the impact of cultural capital in the relationship within the construct of consumers’ self-concept and inconspicuous luxury motivations.

        Applications of Bacterial Cellulose-Based Composite Materials in Hard Tissue Regenerative Medicine

        BACKGROUND: Cartilage, bone, and teeth, as the three primary hard tissues in the human body, have a significant application value in maintaining physical and mental health. Since the development of bacterial cellulose-based composite materials with excellent biomechanical strength and good biocompatibility, bacterial cellulose-based composites have been widely studied in hard tissue regenerative medicine. This paper provides an overview of the advantages of bacterial cellulose-based for hard tissue regeneration and reviews the recent progress in the preparation and research of bacterial cellulose-based composites in maxillofacial cartilage, dentistry, and bone. METHOD: A systematic review was performed by searching the PubMed and Web of Science databases using selected keywords and Medical Subject Headings search terms. RESULTS: Ideal hard tissue regenerative medicine materials should be biocompatible, biodegradable, non-toxic, easy to use, and not burdensome to the human body; In addition, they should have good plasticity and processability and can be prepared into materials of different shapes; In addition, it should have good biological activity, promoting cell proliferation and regeneration. Bacterial cellulose materials have corresponding advantages and disadvantages due to their inherent properties. However, after being combined with other materials (natural/ synthetic materials) to form composite materials, they basically meet the requirements of hard tissue regenerative medicine materials. We believe that it is worth being widely promoted in clinical applications in the future. CONCLUSION: Bacterial cellulose-based composites hold great promise for clinical applications in hard tissue engineering. However, there are still several challenges that need to be addressed. Further research is needed to incorporate multiple disciplines and advance biological tissue engineering techniques. By enhancing the adhesion of materials to osteoblasts, providing cell stress stimulation through materials, and introducing controlled release systems into matrix materials, the practical application of bacterial cellulose-based composites in clinical settings will become more feasible in the near future.

        중국어 관계표지 `우(又)A우(又)B`의 `A`와 `B`에 대한 연구 - `A`와 `B`가 형용사 일 때 -

        본 논문은 한.중 번역과 중국어를 제2외국어로 하는 학습자를 대상으로, 고급교육과정에서 자주 나타나는 병렬관계표지 `又A又B`의 사용 오류를 줄이기 위한 연구이다. 중국어 관계표지 `又A又B`에 대한 기존 연구들은 흔히 `又A又B`의 전체적인 의미 문법 음율 화행에 초점을 맞춰 진행되었는데 이들 연구는 실제 언어 교육 현장에서 지도 효과가 크지 않았다. 본 논문은 이러한 점을 감안하여 기존 연구와 달리 `又A又B`의 `A`와 `B`에 초점을 두고 실제 자료를 근거로 본 격식에 들어갈 수 있는 형용사에 대해 일일이 점검한 후 학습자들에게 본 격식에 들어 갈수 있는 형용사와 들어 갈 수 없는 형용사를 제시하고 또 이에 대해 이론적인 측면에서 귀납을 시도하여 중국어 교육과 한.중 번역에 도움이 되고 나아가 중국어의 유사 관계표지의 차이점을 연구하는데 도움이 되고자 한다.
