      • The identity of Over Sea s Chinese in Hat Yai, Thailand

Yin Yan-E,Lu Junyu 아시아사회과학학회 2021 Jornal of Asia Social Science Vol.5 No.3

The positioning of an individual s own identity is ambiguous, but if it is put into a group, it will explore and locate its own identity attributes, and finally, through the most basic national identity, cultural identity, etc, the identity of their own identity attributes is formed. Due to the historical environment, geographical conditions and background factors of transportation, Southeast Asia is the earliest area for overseas Chinese in China, and it is also the most widely distributed area for overseas Chinese. Among them, Thailand has unique research value due to its special historical background that it was not colonized by the West. Hat Yai in Songkhla Province in southern Thailand is the transportation center and economic hub of the 14 provinces in southern Thailand, and it is also one of the settlements of Thai-Chinese. Most of the ancestral places of these Chinese are from southern Fujian, and Guangdong and Guangxi regions. Most of them are Hakka people, but Chaozhou people come to the fore. Although the millions of overseas Chinese living in Thailand have long been integrated into the mainstream of its economy, politics and culture, and their own language, writing and nationality have all changed, the Chinese in Hat Yai are still sticking to their Chinese traditional cultural practices and beliefs.

Production of vinegar using edible alcohol as feedstock through high efficient biotransformation by acetic acid bacteria

        Yin, Xiao-Yan,Zhong, Wu-Kun,Huo, Jiao,Chang, Xu,Yang, Zhong-Hua 한국식품과학회 2018 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.27 No.2

In this paper, an optimal semi-continuous process for vinegar production from edible alcohol through biotransformation by acetic acid bacteria (AAB) WUST-01 was developed. The optimized medium composition for the starting-up stage was glucose 5.1 g/L, yeast extract 26.2 g/L, and ethanol 11.9 mL/L, and the optimal ethanol for the following semi-continuous stage was 50 mL/L. In the semi-continuous biotransformation process, the optimal withdraw ratio was 50% of working volume with 12 h cycle time. With these conditions, the total acidity could reach to 77.3 g/L and the acidity productivity could reach to 3.0 g/(L h) in a 5 L reactor. Furthermore, it was investigated to strengthen vinegar synthesis through enhancing alcohol dehydrogenase and aldehyde dehydrogenase activity in AAB by ferrous ion and pueraria flower extract as the enzyme regulators. With these regulators, the vinegar synthesis efficiency can be improved 16.3 and 13.2% respectively.

High-resolution Anorectal Manometry in the Diagnosis of Functional Defecation Disorder in Patients With Functional Constipation: A Retrospective Cohort Study

        Yan Zhao,Xiaoyang Ren,Wen Qiao,Lei Dong,Shuixiang He,Yan Yin 대한소화기 기능성질환∙운동학회 2019 Journal of Neurogastroenterology and Motility (JNM Vol.25 No.2

Background/Aims High-resolution anorectal manometry (HRAM) has been considered a first-line diagnostic tool for functional defecation disorder. However, clinical studies on HRAM used in constipation patients are very limited and few studies have reported the characteristics of anorectal pressure in Chinese patients. The aim of this study is to investigate the characteristics of motility data in a cohort of Chinese patients with functional constipation. Methods A total of 82 consecutive patients with functional constipation who underwent a standardized HRAM were retrospectively enrolled in this study. The functional defecation disorder was classified into Rao’s types. Results The mean age of 82 patients was 51 years (range, 16–83 years). Indications for anorectal manometry were functional constipation for all patients. The mean resting pressure was 69.2 ± 21.2 mmHg (range, 24.5–126.9 mmHg). The mean maximum squeezing pressure was 198.4 ± 75.6 mmHg (range, 54.2–476.9 mmHg). The mean length of the anal high pressure zone was 3.4 ± 1.0 cm (range, 0.6–4.9 cm). Sixty (73.2%) patients were diagnosed as functional defecation disorder. In attempted defecation, type I was most common (n = 24), followed by type II (n = 12), type III (n = 11), and type IV (n = 13) that were present on HRAM according to Rao’s classification. In all 60 patients with functional defecation disorder, 37 were women and 23 were men. Men were significantly more likely than women to have functional defecation disorder (92.0% vs 64.9%, P = 0.014). Conclusion HRAM could be used as a test for the diagnosis of functional defecation disorder and functional defecation disorder is common in Chinese patients with functional constipation.

HYPERPARAMETERS OF Q-LEARNING ALGORITHM ADAPTING TO THE DRIVING CYCLE BASED ON KL DRIVING CYCLE RECOGNITION

        Yanli Yin,Xuejiang Huang,Xiaoliang Pan,Sen Zhan,Yongjuan Ma,Xinxin Zhang 한국자동차공학회 2022 International journal of automotive technology Vol.23 No.4

As an effective reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm, Q-learning has been applied to energy management strategy of hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) in recent years. In the existing literatures, the values of three hyperparameters based on Q-learning are all given in advance, which are respectively exploratory rate ε, discount factor γ and learning rate α. However, different values of hyperparameters will influence on fuel economy of the vehicle and offline computation speed. In this paper, it is proposed that the method of optimization on hyperparameters adapting to driving cycle. Firstly, the mathematical model between three hyperparameters and iteration times is established based on inherent regularity of hyperparameters influencing on vehicle performance respectively. Secondly, it is determined that the optimal changing index k_index of iteration number based on Q-learning corresponding to typical driving cycles. Finally, the simulation model of Yubei District in Chongqing is constructed based on the method of Kullback-Leibler (KL) driving cycle identification. The simulation results indicate that equivalent fuel consumption of the proposed strategy is reduced by 0.4 % and the offline operation time is reduced by 6 s. It can be concluded that the proposed strategy can not only improve fuel economy of the vehicle, but also accelerate the computation speed

      • Anti-tumor Activity and Apoptosis-regulation Mechanisms of Bufalin in Various Cancers: New Hope for Cancer Patients

Yin, Pei-Hao,Liu, Xuan,Qiu, Yan-Yan,Cai, Jian-Feng,Qin, Jian-Min,Zhu, Hui-Rong,Li, Qi Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.11

The induction of apoptosis in target cells is a key mechanism for most anti-tumor therapies. Bufalin is a cardiotonic steroid that has the potential to induce differentiation and apoptosis of tumor cells. Research on bufalin has so far mainly involved leukemia, prostate cancer, gastric cancer and liver cancer, and has been confined to in vitro studies. The bufadienolides bufalin and cinobufagin have been shown to induce apoptosis in a wide spectrum of cancer cell. The present article reviews the anticancer effects of bufalin. It induces apoptosis of lung cancer cells via the PI3K/Akt pathway and also suppressed the proliferation of human non-small cell lung cancer A549 cell line in a time and dose dependent manner. Bufalin, bufotalin and gamabufotalin, key bufadienolides, significantly sensitize human breast cancer cells with differing ER-alpha status to apoptosis induction by the TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL). In addition, bufadienolides induce prostate cancer cell apoptosis more significantly than that in breast epithelial cell lines. Similar effects have been observed with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) but the detailed molecular mechanisms of inducing apoptosis in this case are still unclear. Bufalin exerts profound effects on leukemia therapy in vitro. Results of multiple studies indicate that bufalin has marked anti-tumor activities through its ability to induce apoptosis. Large-scale randomized, double-blind, placebo or positive drug parallel controlled studies are now required to confirm the efficacy and apoptosis-inducing potential of bufalin in various cancers in the cliniucal setting.

      • Preparation of Selenium-enriched Bifidobacterium Longum and its Effect on Tumor Growth and Immune Function of Tumor-Bearing Mice

Yin, Yan,Wang, Rong-Rong,Wang, Yan,Wang, Jian-Jun,Xu, Gen-Xing Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.8

In this study, we demonstrated selenium (Se) accumulation in Bifidobacterium longum strain (B. longum) and evaluated the effect of Se-enriched B. longum (Se-B. longum) on tumor growth and immune function in tumor-bearing mice. Analysis using high-performance liquid chromatography-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (HPLC-ICP-MS) revealed that more than 99% of Se in Se-B. longum was organic, the main component of which was selenomethionine (SeMet). In the in vivo experiments, tumor-bearing mice (n=8) were orally administrated with different doses of Se-B. longum alone or combined with cyclophosphamide (CTX). The results showed that the middle and high dose of Se-B. longum significantly inhibited tumor growth. When Se-B. longum and CTX were combined, the antitumor effect was significantly enhanced and the survival time of tumor-bearing mice (n=12) was prolonged. Furthermore, compared with CTX alone, the combination of Se-B. longum and CTX stimulated the activity of natural killer (NK) cells and T lymphocytes, increasing the levels of interleukin-2 (IL-2) and tumor necrosis factor-${\alpha}$ (TNF-${\alpha}$), and the leukocyte count of H22 tumor-bearing mice (n=12).

Research on Modeling Improvement of Rubber Isolators by Considering Multi-loading Conditions

Yin-Yan Zhao,Wen-Bin Shangguan,Nong Cheng,Xiao-Jing He 한국정밀공학회 2013 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol. No.

The stress-strain relationships of a rubber material in uniaxial tension, equi-biaxial tension and plane shear loading conditions are tested here. Constitutive parameters in different constitutive models, such as Mooney-Rivlin model, Van Der Waals model and Marlow model can be obtained by least square method using measured and calculated stress-strain relations. The rubber isolators in two rubber mounts are investigated here. Rubber mount I bears stretching/compression deformation or shear deformation, while mount II bears both deformations simultaneously. Using obtained constitutive constants, the rubber isolators’ static stiffness values in three mutually perpendicular directions are calculated, analyzed and compared with their measured results. Based on Mooney-Rivlin model, the effects of these constitutive constants on static stiffness of the two mounts are discussed by comparison. The effects of different models on static force-displacement characteristics of rubber mount I are also analyzed. The conclusion is that it is necessary to choose a relatively accurate constitutive model and appropriate methods for obtaining the model constants in describing rubber characteristic.

PVDF/PS/HDPE/MWCNTs/Fe3O4 nanocomposites: Effective and lightweight electromagnetic interference shielding material through the synergetic effect of MWCNTs and Fe3O4 nanoparticles

        Ling-yan Li,Shuang-lin Li,Yan Shao,Rui Dou,Bo Yin,Ming-bo Yang 한국물리학회 2018 Current Applied Physics Vol.18 No.4

In this work, Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF)/polystyrene (PS)/high density polyethylene (HDPE) ternary blends displayed a core-shell structure where HDPE was the core, PS was the shell, and this core-shell system dispersed in PVDF matrix. Here, multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and ferroferric oxide (Fe3O4) was incorporated. F-F composites with MWCNTs was in PS shell and Fe3O4 was in PVDF matrix and E-F composites with MWCNTs was in PS shell and Fe3O4 was in HDPE core were fabricated by melt blending. It was indicated that the core-shell morphology between PS and HDPE was well retained with the incorporation of Fe3O4 and MWCNTs. Both the electrical conductivity of F-F and E-F composites were similar without no obvious change with the incorporation of Fe3O4. Composites with greater than 20 dB shielding effectiveness were easy to obtain. The highest SE we observed was for the F-F composite with 1 vol% Fe3O4 and 1 vol%MWCNTs was 25 dB at 9.5 GHz, and the SE was over 20 dB in the whole measured frequency(X-band). The E-F composites with SE greater than 20 dB in X-band was at 2 vol% Fe3O4 and 1 vol% MWNCTs. Such effective and lightweight nanocomposites were obtained, resulting from the synergetic effect of MWCNTs and Fe3O4 nanoparticles.
