      • 고혈압성 흰쥐(Spontaneous Hypertensive Rat)에서 Nifedipine투여가 Mixed-Function Oxidase와 Lipid Peroxidation에 미치는 영향

        The effect of intraperitonelly administered nifedipine, an antiphypertensive medication on the mixed-function oxidase system components, such as cytochrome P-450, cytochrome b5, NADPH- and NADH-cytochrome C reductause, p-nitroanisole-O-demethylase, and the formation of lipid peroxide and UDP-glucuronosyltransferase in the spontaneous hypertensive rat hepatic microsomes were investigated. The result is as follows: 1. After 3-7 day of nifedipine injection bidaily, the contents of cytochrome P-450 and b5 were slightly increased and after 4 weeks of nifedipine injection bidaily, the contents of cytochrome P-450 and b5 were increased significantly. 2. After 2 and 4 weeks of nifedipine injection bidaily, the activities of NADPH- and NADH-cytochrome C reductase were increased significantly. 3. After 2 and 4 weeks nifedipine injection bidaily, the activities of monooxygenase, p-nitroanisole-O-demethylase were increased significantly. 4. The formation of lipid peroxide did not change for 4 weeks injection bidaily. 5. After 2 and 4 weeks of nifedipine injection bidnily, the activity of UDP-glucuronosyltransferase was increased markedly.

        Mutual intercropping-inspired co-silanization to graft well-oriented organosilane as adhesion promotion nanolayer for flexible conductors

        Surface metallization of polymer substrate andfilm adhesion are crucial to the development offlexibleelectronics. This study demonstrates the co-silanization engineering on the polyimide (PI)film by mutualintercropping of two organosilane molecules to improve their grafting orientability and enhance theadsorbability toward the PI substrate and loaded metal atoms. The mutual intercropping-inspired cosilanizationengineering is implemented by using 3-[(trimethylsilyl)ethynyl]pyridine (TEP) as asupporting organosilane to spatially confine the grafting orientation of the supported aminosilane, 3-[2-(2-aminoethylamino)ethylamino]propyl-trimethoxysilane (ETAS), leading to the formation of a wellorientedorganosilane composite nanolayer as adhesion promotion layer forflexible conductors. Theflexible Cu conductor electrolessly deposited on the PIfilm by co-silanization shows improved adhesionstrength (0.9 kgf/cm) compared to those based on mono-silanization (0.51 kgf/cm) and sputtered Ta/Cu(0.4 kgf/cm). Superior deformability (bendability) was also achieved for the co-silanized Cu/PI sample byretaining good electrical property after bending cycle up to 1000.

        GreenIoT Architecture for Internet of Things Applications

        A power-saving mechanism for smartphone devices is developed by analyzing the features of data that are received from Internet of Things (IoT) sensors devices to optimize the data processing policies. In the proposed GreenIoT architecture for power-saving in IoT, the power saving and feedback mechanism are implemented in the IoT middleware. When the GreenIoT application in the power-saving IoT architecture is launched, IoT devices collect the sensor data and send them to the middleware. After the scanning module in the IoT middleware has received the data, the data are analyzed by a feature evaluation module and a threshold analysis module. Based on the analytical results, the policy decision module processes the data in the device or in the cloud computing environment. The feedback mechanism then records the power consumed and, based on the history of these records, dynamically adjusts the threshold value to increase accuracy. Two smart living applications, a biomedical application and a smart building application, are proposed. Comparisons of data processed in the cloud computing environment show that the power-saving mechanism with IoT architecture reduces the power consumed by these applications by 24% and 9.2%.

        Antioxidative and Hepatoprotective Effects of Magnolol on Acetaminophen-induced Liver Damage in Rats

        Acute liver failure (ALF), an often fatal condition characterized by massive hepatocyte necrosis, is frequently caused by drug poisoning, particularly with acetaminophen (N-acetyl-p-aminophenol/APAP). Hepatocyte necrosis is consecutive to glutathione (GSH) depletion and mitochondrial damage caused by reactive oxygen species (ROS) overproduction. Magnolol, one major phenolic constituent of Magnolia officinalis, have been known to exhibit potent antioxidative activity. In this study, the anti-hepatotoxic activity of magnolol on APAP-induced toxicity in the Sprague-Dawley rat liver was examined. After evaluating the changes of several biochemical parameters in serum, the levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) were elevated by APAP (500 mg/kg) intraperitoneal administration (8 and 24 h) and reduced by treatment with magnolol (0.5 h after APAP administration; 0.01, 0.1, and 1 μg/kg). Histological changes around the hepatic central vein, lipid peroxidation (thiobarbituric acid-reactive substance/TBARS), and GSH depletion in liver tissue induced by APAP were also recovered by magnolol treatment. The data show that oxidative stress followed by lipid peroxidation may play a very important role in the pathogenesis of APAP-induced hepatic injury; treatment with lipid-soluble antioxidant, magnolol, exerts anti-hepatotoxic activity. Our study points out the potential interest of magnolol in the treatment of toxic ALF.

      • Die Darstellungsweise des Guten und Bo¨sen in "Kinder-und Hausma¨rchen" der Gebru¨der Grimm

        민담세계에서 선과 악의 요소는 사건 진행을 규정해 주는 하나의 중요한 성분으로 나타난다. 本稿에서는 독일의 「그림」형제가 수집한 독일민담을 몇가지 관점에서 관찰·분석하여, 이 요소가 어떻게 묘사되었는가를 서술해 보고자 한다. 이러한 목적을 위해 아래와 같이 명제를 제시할 수 있겠다. 첫째, 사건진행은 대립성과 구상성의 법칙에 종속되고, 둘째, 선과 악은 각기 여러가지의 특성과 결합하여 나타나며, 셋째, 선의 승리는 물론이지만 악의 승리도 등장하고, 넷째, 악의 요소는 Nemesis적인 의미에서 스스로 자멸되는 경우가 있고, 다섯째, 선과 악의 요소는 다양한 현상으로 등장하며, 마지막으로 민담에 나타나는 등장인물의 대립관계를 살펴본다. 本稿는 기술방법상 텍스트에 중점을 두었고, 참고서적의 이용은 생략했다.

      • Der Terminus "Symbol" in deutscher Literaturwissenschaft und Psychoanalyse mit Berucksichtigung der Marchenforschung

        독일 민담 연구는 대체로 Freud나 Jung의 심리분석 이론을 근간으로 한 Symbol의 의미를 빌려 사용하고 있으나 연구가의 각기 다른 개념규정으로 인해 텍스트 해석은 물론 연구에서 상당한 혼동이 야기되고 있다. 고로 필자는 학술적 연구에서 전문용어의 무차별한 사용으로 인한 문제점을 상기시키고자 하는 입장에서 Symbol이란 용어의 통일성 있는 개념규정 작업을 위한 하나의 준비작업으로 우선 Symbol의 개념을 시대적으로 고찰하고자 한다. 민담이 집대성되고 인간의 환상세계가 지배적이었던 독일 낭만주의, Freud의 심리분석에 따른 Symbol의 의미와 문제점, Jung의 심리분석에 따른 Symbol과 이의 민담연구에 미친 영향, 그리고 무의식세계를 강조함에 따라 야기된 문제점을 찾아본 후, 심리학이 문학연구에서의 과제와 심리학적 인식을 문예학에 이입했을 때의 문제점을 고찰한다. 따라서 구조주의에 입각한 Symbol의 의미를 살펴봄은 본고의 결론적인 요구이며, 이러한 고찰을 통해 Symbol의미의 시대에 따른 가변성을 제시하고, 하나의 개념이 규정될 때 여러가지 의미로 나타나는 것은 근본적으로 각기 그 개념과 이 개념이 표출해 주는 관념과의 상관관계에서 그 원인을 찾을 수 있음을 보여줌과 동시에 Symbol의 개념규정에서 필요한 제반요소를 제시하여 통일성 있는 개념정립과 용어의 학문적 활용에서 혼동을 피해야 한다는 생각을 개진하고 있다.

        On the Elasticity of Marking Functions in an Integrated Network

        <P>Much of the research on network modeling and analysis has focused on the design of end controllers and network algorithms with the objective of stability and convergence of the transmission rate. However, a network is typically composed of a mixture of both controlled elastic flows and uncontrolled real-time flows. In this paper, we study the effects of marking elasticity (which characterizes how aggressively the marking function responds to congestion) on queue overflow probability for uncontrolled real-time flows. First, we derive lower and upper bounds on the queue overflow probability at a router of a single bottleneck system. Using this, we quantify the trade-off between stability for controlled flows and queue overflow probability for uncontrolled real-time flows as a function of marking elasticity. Next, we compare the capacity required at a router with only FIFO scheduling versus a router with priority scheduling (priority given to the real-time flows) for supporting a given queue overflow probability. We quantify the 'scheduling-gain' of priority scheduling over FIFO scheduling, as a function of marking elasticity. We show that this scheduling gain decreases with more elastic marking functions.</P>
