Dysgeusia as Anti-GQ1b Antibody Syndrome with Brainstem Involvement: A Tractography Case Report
Yeonjae Han,Young Kook Kim,박근영,Sangah Jeong,Sun Im 대한연하장애학회 2021 대한연하장애학회지 Vol.11 No.1
Dysgeusia and dysphagia are rarely reported as the sole clinical symptoms of anti-GQ1b antibody syndrome involving the cranial nerves (CN). According to previous reports, those exhibiting bilateral facial nerve palsy or ophthalmoplegia or both are followed by bulbar dysfunctions (CNs IX and X). This paper reports a case of a 22-year-old man showing dysgeusia with dysphagia and mild limb weakness. Fiberoptic endoscopy revealed signs of residues after swallowing. The nerve conduction study (NCS) in the limbs and conventional brain magnetic resonance imaging were normal. Further workup revealed a positive serum anti-GQ1b antibody. The diffusion tension weighted brain images with tractography revealed involvement to the bilateral corticobulbar and corticospinal tract at the brainstem level. Although his normal NCS and conventional brain MRI made the diagnosis difficult, it was confirmed to be a rare variant of anti-GQ1b antibody syndrome showing corticobulbar and corticospinal tract involvement. The patient showed excellent recovery after dysphagia treatment.

Celiac disease (CD) is an immune-mediated enteropathy of small intestine diagnosed in both childhood and adulthood. CD is caused by gluten, which produces gliadorphin during its digestion. The enzyme dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP4) breaks gliadorphin down nevertheless the last tripeptide remains and eventually inhibits DPP4, thus slowing down its process. Therefore, the idea is to produce an additional DPP4 enzyme which is crucial. Consequently, the functional DPP4 gene was cloned into pCDNA3 intermediate (FLAG+DPP4) vector and finally a recombinant plasmid pSB1C3 (Andersons promoters+ FLAG+DPP4) was constructed using synthetic biology. Normally, a DPP4 inhibitor is used as a cure for diabetes. Another important concern was overexpression of DPP4, which might lead to diabetes, accordingly the work was also performed for the regulation of the DPP4 gene expression. In this regard, three types of Anderson promoters (strong, moderate and weak) were utilized to study the control overexpression. This is the first report of idealistic trial for control the exogenous DPP4 gene-expression by molecular biologic tools.
The AV-SVDD Algorithm for Detecting Leakage of Information
YeonJae Jeong,Kihyo Nam,MoonKwon Jeong 보안공학연구지원센터 2014 International Journal of Software Engineering and Vol.8 No.12
This thesis presents an improved algorithm of v-SVDD that detects outliers in documents. The existing algorithms produce a virtual modulation vector with all elements of a power set of a feature vector from a document, and the virtual modulation vector may include vectors that do not reflect true characteristics of the document. To address the issue, this study proposes an enhanced version of the v-SVDD algorithm that produces a more precise virtual modulation vector. Test results run by this new algorithm in this paper show excellent precision in detecting leakage of tampered documents.
