An Adaptive Time-Based Kiln Schedule using Forward Chaining Approach

Liem Yenny Bendatu,YAHYA BERNARDO NUGROHO 대한산업공학회 2018 Industrial Engineeering & Management Systems Vol.17 No.2

Sequential decision problems have been recognized as a strategy which uses search techniques to generate sequence of actions that leads to good states. Current sequential decision problems require a given set of actions while the ac-tions in kiln dry wood process relies on various factors that may diverse from time to time. Predefined kiln schedule has been available to assist kiln operator’s decision making. However, routine decision would be highly affected by either drying problems or customer complaints. Although many works attempt to apply mathematical model and some experiments to predict kiln dry process, relatively little attention has been paid to the problem of discovery sequential pattern from kiln dry wood process data. This study proposes a framework as a decision support for sequential decision problems, specifically, for kiln dry wood process. The framework starts with preprocessing the kiln process data, follows with mapping the preprocessed data into a log, and ends with analyzing as well as verifying the process using quality of predictions performance measures. A case study on real datasets in the field of kiln dry wood process indicate that historical data contain patterns which are able to generate kiln schedule and associated to possible future behavior

      • Incidence of Cisplatin-Induced Nephrotoxicity and Associated Factors among Cancer Patients in Indonesia

Prasaja, Yenny,Sutandyo, Noorwati,Andrajati, Retnosari Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.3

Background: Cisplatin is still used as a first-line medication for solid tumors. Nephrotoxicity is a serious side effect that can decrease renal function and restrict applicable doses. This research aimed to obtain the profile of cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity and its associated factors in adult cancer patients at Dharmais National Cancer Hospital (DNCH). Materials and Methods: The design was cross-sectional with data obtained from patient medical records. We retrospectively reviewed adult cancer patients treated with cisplatin ${\geq}60mg/m^2$ for at least four consecutive chemotherapy cycles from August 2011 to November 2013. The nephrotoxicity criterion was renal function decline characterized by creatinine clearance <60 ml/min using the Cockroft-Gault (CG) equation. Results: Eighty-eight subjects received at least four chemotherapy cycles of cisplatin. The prevalence of cisplatin nephrotoxicity was 34.1%. Symptoms could be observed after the first cycle of chemotherapy, and the degree of renal impairment was higher with increased numbers of cycles (r=-0.946, $r^2=89.5%$). Factors that affected the decline of renal function were patient age (p=0.008, OR=3.433, 95%CI= 1.363-8.645) and hypertension (p=0.026, OR=2.931, 95%CI=1.120-7.670). Conclusions: Cisplatin nephrotoxicity occurred in more than one-third of patients after the fourth cycle of chemotherapy and worsened after each cycle despite preventive strategies such as hydration. The decline of renal function induced by cisplatin ${\geq}60mg/m^2$ was affected by age and hypertension.

Different Effects of Single-leg Stance Exercise and Bridging Exercise with Core Stability Exercise on Older Adults Balance

        Brissa Isabel Salsabila,Farid Rahman,Yenny Lindoyo 한국운동생리학회 2023 운동과학 Vol.32 No.3

PURPOSE: Older adults experience a degenerative process that causes several health problems such as an increased risk of falling due to poor balance. However, to reduce the risk of falling exercise is used as an early intervention. The study aimed to understand the differences in the effect of single-leg stance exercises and bridging exercises with core stability exercises on increasing balance in older adults. METHODS: A quasi-experimental study was conducted at the Salus Medica Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic using a sample of 30 individuals divided into two groups. The interventions were conducted twice weekly for one month. The evaluation included first, middle, and final evaluations using the Berg Balance Scale. Moreover, the statistical test was used to determine the effect of intergroup administration on increasing the balance of older adults, whereas the independent t-test was used to determine the effects of intergroup administration on increasing balance among older adults. RESULTS: The results of the repeated-measures analysis of variance revealed that the p-value assumed sphericity in both groups (p=.000), which implies that the two groups improved the balance of the older adults. The independent t-test identified that the p-value equal variances were assumed (p=.572), which indicated no difference in the effect between the two groups in increasing the balance of older adults. CONCLUSIONS: No significant difference between single-leg stance exercises with core stability exercises and bridging exercises with core stability exercises in improving balance among older adults was observed.

Relationship between Workplace Spirituality, Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior

Ni Made Satya UTAMI,I Ketut Setia SAPTA,Yenny VERAWATI,I Made Purba ASTAKONI 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.1

The research objective was to analyze the effect of work behavior on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and organizational commitment. For this, we analyze the effect of organizational commitment on OCB and analyze organizational commitment as a mediating variable in the relationship between workplace behavior and OCB. This study employed survey data for 80 employees of 12 village credit institutions in the Badung Regency. Observation is one way to obtain primary data. It is done by observing the object, which is the primary source of data, and conducting direct observations of the research location to determine the circumstances and problems. This research uses data collection techniques: 1) interviews conducted with employees working in Badung Regency both in managers and staff positions. 2) Questionnaire, namely, by using several closed questions given to the Badung Regency employees regarding workplace spirituality, organizational commitment, and OCB. The analysis technique used the partial least squares (PLS) approach and the Sobel test. The results show that workplace spirituality does not affect OCB but positively affects organizational commitment. Also, organizational commitment has a positive effect on OCB. The major findings are organizational commitment acts as a mediating variable in the relationship between workplace spirituality and OCB.

New dynamics in Japan–Russia energy relations 2011–2017

Wrenn Yennie-Lindgren 한양대학교 아태지역연구센터 2018 Journal of Eurasian Studies Vol.9 No.2

Since the triple disaster in Japan in 2011, the energy dimension of Japan–Russia relations in the Russian Far East (RFE) has developed at a more rapid pace. The integration of the energy markets of the world’s top liquefied natural gas (LNG) importer, Japan, and major energy exporter, Russia, has paralleled a warmer bilateral political climate and been accelerated by Russia’s turn to the East. In the aftermath of the Ukraine crisis, the globe’s energy landscape has been significantly altered and both Russia and Japan have faced constraints economically and in terms of bilateral cooperation. Questions remain about how bilateral energy relations will develop in the face of competition from Japan’s traditional energy suppliers and ongoing Japanese government efforts to diversify energy sources. Is energy prompting a stronger bilateral political bond or just fostering a limited partnership in this area? In considering the consequences of the Fukushima and Ukraine crises on Japan– Russia energy relations and the energy dimension of Russia’s pivot to Asia, the topic is placed in a wider context of new dynamics in Japan–Russia relations.

The Relationship between Narratives and Security Practices: Pushing the Boundaries of Military Instruments in Japan

        Petter Y. Lindgren,Wrenn Yennie-Lindgren 경남대학교 극동문제연구소 2019 ASIAN PERSPECTIVE Vol.43 No.2

Japanese security policy has undergone significant changes lately. Japanese policymakers have recently argued over advancing Japan’s Self-Defense Forces with new weapon systems. In particular, the Abe government has decided to purchase long-range cruise missiles for its new F-35A jetfighters, and to reconstruct a newly-built helicopter carrier into an aircraft carrier. While specific policy proposals continued dividing policymakers and other stakeholders, the underlying story specifying Japan’s place in East Asia, the rise of China, the threat of North Korea’s missile and nuclear programs, the tight security relationship with the United States and the vulnerability of the Japanese archipelago has faced little core criticism. The lack of alternative national security narratives suggests the emergence of a Japanese security consensus in the mid-2010s. The strength of the narrative in deterring policymakers to refrain from critique, through the significant costs incurred by opposition, could also suggest a hegemonic narrative (but not necessarily a consensus). We find that the dominant narrative provided a necessary foundation for unorthodox policy proposals, which arguably enabled the Abe government to push through militay instrument expansions in the Self-Defense Forces, moves far from politically sustainable only a decade earlier

한불문학번역에서 자가번역 현상 -최윤의 「갈증의 시학」의 경우-

        최미경 ( Mikyung Choi ),윤예니 ( Yennie Yun ) 이화여자대학교 통역번역연구소 2020 T&I review Vol.10 No.1

This paper explores the hypothesis that translation by the author, who is aware of the meaning even before it was expressed in language, would improve the outcome of literary translation. Auto-translation - wherein the author’s bilingual proficiency plays a substantial role - is relevant to authors writing in non-central languages in terms of literary recognition and accumulation. Auto-translation allows the author to rewrite the original according to their initial intentions and aims into the target language. As such, it is associated with deverbalized meaning from the interpretive theory of Translation studies as well as the theory of rewriting. This paper seeks to adapt these theoretical reflections into the French translation of Korean literature through the analysis of Ch’oe Yun’s “Poetics of Thirst”. Analysis demonstrates that Ch’oe Yun’s translation produces a text in the target language that retains linguistic equivalence, thereby making it a variation that enhances French readability, rather than generating another original that contains the aims the author had prior to writing the original text.
