        Improved thermoelectric performance of n-type Mg3Sb2–Mg3Bi2 alloy with Co element doping

        n-type Mg3Sb2–Mg3Bi2 alloy shows as a potential new thermoelectric material (TE) and has been widely researched recently. The pure phase n-type Mg3⋅20(Sb0⋅3Bi0.7)1.99Te0.01 were prepared by adjusting Mg content with the Bi impurity phase being effectively suppressed. Then, Co element was doped into the pure phase and the electrical conductivity of samples were improved. With a high power factor of 20.3 μW cm 1K 2 for Mg3⋅185Co0⋅015(Sb0⋅3Bi0.7)1.99Te0.01 at 525 K. Additionally, it was found that the phonon scattering is enhanced due to the larger atomic mass of Co comparing to Mg and the lattice thermal conductivity is reduced. As a result, a high ZT value of ~ 1.03 at 525 K is achieved for the Mg3⋅185Co0⋅015(Sb0⋅3Bi0.7)1.99Te0.01.

        MiR-340 regulates the growth and metabolism of renal cell carcinoma cells by targeting frizzled class receptor 3

        MicroRNA(miR)-340 is known as a multifunctionalmiRNA related to various types of cancer while itsrole in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) remains to be furtherinvestigated. In the present study, an apparent increase inmiR-340 expression was observed in both clear cell RCCtissues and RCC cell line 786-O and Caki-1. Functionally,the overexpression of miR-340 promoted cell proliferation,migration, invasion, extracellular alanine (Ala) level, andglycolysis level in 786-O cells. Then, frizzled class receptor3 (FZD3) was determined as the target gene of miR-340 andits expression level was negatively regulated by miR-340. The FZD3 silencing abrogated the inhibitory eff ect of miR-340 knockdown on cell proliferation, migration, invasion,Ala level, and glycolysis level in 786-O cells. In conclusion,miR-340 promotes proliferation, migration, and invasion ofRCC cells via suppressing FZD3 expression, and the promotioneff ect of miR-340 on RCC progression may be due to itsregulatory eff ect on glycolysis and Ala level.

        Structural Characterization of Microwave-Assisted Solution-Synthesized Strontium-Substituted Hydroxyapatite

        Hydroxyapatite and strontium-substituted hydroxyapatite nanoparticles (n-HA and Sr-HA) were prepared by microwave-assisted solution synthesis with aqueous solutions of various Sr/(Sr+Ca) molar ratios ranging from 0% to 15%. The structural properties of the hydroxyapatite powders were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectra, field emission scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry and transmission electron microscopy. The results confirmed that strontium ions had been incorporated into the hydroxyapatite lattice. The synthetic n-HA and Sr-HA nanocrystalline consisted of hydroxyapatite crystalline phase with hexagonal structure, and the particle size was 30–40 x 60–70 nm and 40–50 x 70–80 nm, respectively. The calcined HA particle size ranged from about 120 nm to 150 nm, the calcined Sr-HA products were composed of spherical aggregates with a size of about 70–100 nm. The incorporation of Sr ions lead to the formation of vacancies in the crystal structure of the HA. The results indicated that the strontium substitution did not change the crystal structures. More Sr resulted in less calcined crystallites and formed agglomerates owing to the size effect.

        circTUBGCP5 promotes liver cancer progression and glycolysis by up‑regulating the expression of ACSL4

        A large number of researches have shown that circular RNA (circRNA) is new hope for the diagnosis or treatment of tumors, including liver cancer (LCa). However, it remains largely unclear the role of circRNA in the progression of LCa and its molecular mechanism. GSE164803 microarray dataset was applied to identify dysregulated circRNAs in LCa and noncancerous tissues. CircTUBGCP5 (hsa_circ_0034049) was selected for further research. Biological functions of circTUBGCP5 were investigated by EdU, colony formation, flow cytometry, glucose consumption and lactate production assay, and in vivo tumorigenesis. RNA pull-down assay and dual-luciferase reporter assay were used to investigate the interaction between circTUBGCP5, miR-144-3p, and ACSL4. We demonstrated that circTUBGCP5 was significantly up-regulated in LCa tissues and cells. CircTUBGCP5 promoted LCa cell proliferation, anti-apoptotic ability, glycolysis, and tumorigenesis at least partially by sponging miR-144-3p to regulate ACSL4 protein level. In conclusion, circTUBGCP5 is a forceful contributor to malignant behaviors and glycolysis of LCa via modulating the circTUBGCP5/miR-144-3p/ACSL4 axis, which has provided a target for the diagnosis and treatment of LCa patients.

        Characteristics analysis of supporting and locking mechanism based on the non-circular gear compound transmission

        As one of the most important components in the micro in-pipe robot, the supporting and locking mechanism determines the working performance of the robot. In this paper, a new supporting and locking mechanism based on the non-circular gear compound transmission (SLM-NGCT) is proposed. According to the advanced mechanisms and differential geometry theory, transmission coordinates of the movement mechanism were established and the movement equations were derived. The influence factors and change rules of the displacement, velocity and acceleration of the movement mechanism were analyzed. Based on gear meshing theory and the cam theory, the mechanical characteristics of the flexible friction block of the movement mechanism were analyzed. A simulation model of SLMNGCT was established and the comparison results between simulation and theoretical model show the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the feasibility of non-circular gear pairs instead of the cam mechanism. The study has guiding significance in the supporting and locking mechanism of micro in-pipe robot.

        Molecular Cloning, Characterization, and Expression Analysis of Chicken Δ-6 Desaturase

        Long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LC-PUFA) promote the development of brain and vision of the fetus, relieve inflammation, inhibit oral dysplasia of rumor cell, decrease the incidence of cardiovascular disease and regulate arrhythmia. ${\Delta}-6$ desaturase is the rate-limited enzyme in the desaturation process. This study reports the cloning, characterization and tissue expression of a ${\Delta}-6$ desaturase gene in the chicken. PCR primers were designed based on the predicted sequence of chicken ${\Delta}-6$ desaturase (accession number: XM421053) and used to isolate a cDNA fragment of 1,323 bp from chicken liver. Based on the 1,323 bp fragment an EST (BI390105) was obtained by BLAST. The EST and 5'nd of the 1,323 bp fragment were partially overlapped. Gene specific primers derived from the EST were used for amplification of the 5'nd. Another gene-specific primer derived from the 1,323 bp fragment was used for amplification of the 3'nd by 3'ACE. Then the three overlapping cDNA sequences obtained were assembled with DNAMAN software and a full-length ${\Delta}-6$ desaturase of 2,153 bp was obtained. The full-length cDNA contained an ORF of 1,335 bp with a 5'ntranslated region of 147 nucleotides followed by an ATG initiation codon. Stop codon TGA was at position 1,481-1,483 bp. The deduced amino acids shared an homology above 77% with bovine, mice, orangutan, rat and human. The protein sequence had three histidine-rich regions HDFGH (HisI region), HFQHH (HisII region) and HH (HisIII region), a cytochrome $b_{5}$-like domain containing a heme-binding motif and two transmembrane domains. Sequence analysis of the chicken genomic DNA revealed that the coding sequence of chicken ${\Delta}-6$ desaturase included 12 exons and 11 introns. Semi-quantitative RT-PCR showed that the ${\Delta}-6$ desaturase expression levels were in turn liver, spleen, pancreas, lung, breast muscle, heart, and abdominal fat. The expression of ${\Delta}-6$ desaturase in liver was significantly higher than that in breast muscle (p<0.01). The expression of ${\Delta}-6$ desaturase in lung was significantly higher than that in abdominal fat (p<0.01). This is the first clone of chicken ${\Delta}-6$ desaturase.

        Verruciform Xanthoma of the Penis

        Verruciform xanthoma is an uncommon benign lesion. The most common presentation occurs in the oral cavity; however, it has also been described in other sites, especially the penis. Herein is reported the first case of verruciform xanthoma of the penis in China, the fourteenth case in the literature. Clinically, genital verruciform xanthoma is often confuses with papillomas, verrucous carcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas, and therefore a histopathological diagnosis is necessary.         Fabrication and Photoelectrochemical Performance Optimization of CuInS2 Quantum Dots Sensitized TiO2 Nanonails Array Photoelectrodes

        The CuInS2 quantum dots sensitization of TiO2 nanonails (NNs) array was successfully carried out by a successive ionic layer absorption and reaction (SILAR) method using CuCl2 · 2H2O, InCl3 · 4H2O and Na2S · 9H2O as precursors. The morphology, elemental composition and crystalline structure of the CuInS2 quantum dots sensitized TiO2 NNs array heterojunction nanostructures were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray-photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The above characterization results could unanimously reveal that the nanoparticles successfully loaded on the TiO2 NNs array can be assigned as CuInS2 quantum dots. UV-Vis absorption measurements indicated that the CuInS2 quantum dots sensitization extended the visible light absorption. The largest short-circuit photocurrent density of 17.7 mA/cm2 was obtained, which indicated that the CuInS2 was a promising material in activating visible light functionalities and enhancing photoelectrochemical performance.

        Study on nanosized zircon powder based dual sensitive sensor

        Study on the nanosized ceramic material of ZrO2 which has usually been used as electronic ceramics, function ceramics, structure ceramics and so on. The material of ZrO2 was made by low-temperature super alkaline condition. The powder was detected by XRD, and the result showed that the material was pure ZrO2. According to the Scherer formula computation, the ZrO2 average grain diameter was about 21 nm. The material was sensitive both to the ammonia and to the humidity. Full performance test was carried to the sensor made by the sensitive material. To 20 × 10-6 NH3, the sensitive is 3, and to 1000 × 10-6 NH3, the sensitive is 12.5. The sensor has good selectivity, and has almost no sensitive to else gases, so it is a good gas sensor with excellent selectivity. To 1000 × 10-6 NH3, the response time is 2 s, and recovering time is also only 27 s. The sensitive range of humidity is 25–98%RH under 25 ℃ . Both response and recovered time of humidity are less than 30s. The sensor realized the dual sensitive.
