The computerization of hospital management system is one of the most complicated tasks to accomplish. Hospital management system consists of largely three systems : hospital administration, patient-care, and medical development. These systems are dependent on one another in computerization. However, the hospital administration system including financial and accounting system can be easily computerized without disrupting the other systems in any serious way. As a first step to hospital computerization, this study deals with some hospital administration only. More specially, various characteristics of hospital management system are discussed and an administration system for out-patients is simulated to find an optimal computer system and to recognize how the system could be improved after computerization.

The full-length heat shock protein 88 (HSP88) complementary DNA (cDNA) of Paecilomycestenuipes Jocheon -1 was obtained by screening the Paecilomyces tenuipes (P. tenuipes )Jocheon-1 Uni-Zap cDNA library and performing 5` RACE polymerase chain reaction(PCR). The P. tenuipes Jocheon-1 HSP88 cDNA contained an open reading frame (ORF) of2, 139-basepair encoding 713 amino acid residues. The deduced amino acid sequence of theP. tenuipe s Jocheon-1 HSP88 cDNA showed 77% identity to Nectria haematococca HSP88and 45-76% identity to other fungal homologous HSP88s. Phylogenetic analysis and BLAST program analysis confirmed that the deduced amino acid sequences of the P. tenuipesJocheon-1 HSP88 gene belonged to the ascomycetes group within the fungal clade. The P. tenuipes Jocheon-1 HSP88 also contained the conserved ATPase domain at the N-terminalregion. The cDNA encoding P. tenuipes Jocheon-1 HSP88 was expressed as an 88 kilodalton(kDa) polypeptide in baculovirus-infected insect Sf9 cells. Under higher temperature conditionsfor the growth of the entomopathogenic fungus, mRNA expression of P. tenuipes Jocheon-1HSP88 was quantified by real time PCR (qPCR). The results showed that heat shock stressinduced a higher level of mRNA expression compared to normal growth conditions.

A new dihydroflavone, 5-carboxymethyl-7,4'-dihydroxyflavonone (1), and its glucoside 5-carboxymethyl-7,4'-dihydroxyflavonone-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2), and one new monoterpene glucoside, (4Z,6E)-2,7-dimethyl-8-hydroxyocta-4,6-dienoic acid 8-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), were isolated from the whole plants of Selaginella moellendorffii. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods and chemical transformation. Compound 2 was evaluated for the ability to enhance glucose consumption in normal and insulin-resistant L6 muscle cells induced by high concentrations of insulin and glucose. Glucose consumption in insulin-resistant cells (but not in normal cells) was increased 15.2 ± 3.3% (p < 0.01) by compound 2 at a concentration of 0.1 μM in the presence of insulin (1 nM).

Purpose: We compared the clinical outcomes of modified procedures for associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) based on a risk-reduced strategy with those of classic ALPPS procedures in treating large liver carcinoma. Materials and Methods: Short-term outcomes, increases in future liver remnant (FLR) and functional FLR (FFLR), and overall survival (OS) were compared between 45 consecutive patients treated with modified ALPPS procedures and 34 patients treated with classic ALPPS procedures. Results: Clinical outcomes after the 1st-stage operation markedly improved with the modified procedures. Although the proportions of liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma were higher in the modified group, the mortality and incidence of severe complications did not increase. FLR and FFLR hypertrophy at 1 week after the 1st-stage operation were similar in both groups; however, kinetic growth rates in the modified group were lower. OS rates were similar. Conclusion: Modified ALPPS procedures could be safely applied to provide long-term survival for patients with liver cirrhosis without sufficient FLR.

Under severe water stress, leaf wilting is quite general in higher plants. This passive movement can reduce the energy load on a leaf. This paper reports an experimental test of the hypothesis that leaf wilting movement has a protective function that mitigates against photoinhibition of photosynthesis in the field. The experiments exposed cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) to two water regimes: waterstressed and well-watered. Leaf wilting movement occurred in water-stressed plants as the water potential decreased to −4.1 MPa, reducing light interception but maintaining comparable quantum yields of photosystem II (PS II; Yield for short) and the proportion of total PS II centers that were open (qP). Predrawn Fv/Fm (potential quantum yield of PS II) as an indicator of overnight recovery of PS II from photoinhibition was higher than or similar to that in wellwatered plants. Compared with water-stressed cotton leaves for which wilting movement was permitted, water-stressed cotton leaves restrained from such movement had significantly increased leaf temperature and instantaneous CO2assimilation rates in the short term, but reduced Yield, qP,and Fv/Fm. In the long term, predrawn Fv/Fm and CO2assimilation capacity were reduced in water-stressed leaves restrained from wilting movement. These results suggest that, under water stress, leaf wilting movement could reduce the incident light on leaves and their heat load, alleviate damage to the photosynthetic apparatus due to photoinhibition, and maintain considerable carbon assimilation capacity in the long term despite a partial loss of instantaneous carbon assimilation in the short term.
Quantum secure direct communication via tripartite entanglement and local operation

A protocol is proposed to fulfill quantum secure direct communication via swapping entanglement and local operation. Based on the scheme, we discuss something about the utilization of resource and the security of communication. We find that it is absolutely secure to transmit classical information using the scheme proposed. But the average amount of information loaded by each qubit is invariable, although the qubits' amount belonged to a maximally entanglement state is different. By using this scheme can we also improve the communicating efficiency.
Regularity for Very Weak Solutions of A-Harmonic Equation with Weight
Gao, Hong-Ya,Zhang, Yu,Chu, Yu-Ming Department of Mathematics 2009 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.49 No.2
This paper deals with very weak solutions of the A-harmonic equation $divA(x,{\nabla}u)$ = 0 (*) with the operator $A:{\Omega}{\times}R^n{\rightarrow}R^n$ satisfies some coercivity and controllable growth conditions with Muckenhoupt weight. By using the Hodge decomposition with weight, a regularity property is proved: There exists an integrable exponent $r_1=r_1({\lambda},n,p)$ < p, such that every very weak solution $u{\in}W_{loc}^{1,r}({\Omega},{\omega})$ with $r_1$ < r < p belongs to $W_{loc}^{1,p}({\Omega},{\omega})$. That is, u is a weak solution to (*) in the usual sense.
