        Matching game based resource allocation algorithm for energy-harvesting small cells network with NOMA

        In order to increase the capacity and improve the spectrum efficiency of wireless communication systems, this paper proposes a rate-based two-sided many-to-one matching game algorithm for energy-harvesting small cells with non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) in heterogeneous cellular networks (HCN). First, we use a heuristic clustering based channel allocation algorithm to assign channels to small cells and manage the interference. Then, aiming at addressing the user access problem, this issue is modeled as a many-to-one matching game with the rate as its utility. Finally, considering externality in the matching game, we propose an algorithm that involves swap-matchings to find the optimal matching and to prove its stability. Simulation results show that this algorithm outperforms the comparing algorithm in efficiency and rate, in addition to improving the spectrum efficiency.

        Comparison of antibiotic resistance and copper tolerance of Enterococcus spp. and Lactobacillus spp. isolated from piglets before and after weaning

        In China, antimicrobials and copper are used extensively as growth-promoting agents for piglets. This study aimed to characterize the role of in-feed copper in the emergence of copper-tolerant and antibiotic-resistant Enterococcus and Lactobacillus isolates in Chinese pig farms. Feces of the same eight piglets from four litters at 7 and 55 days old and their mothers were traced in order to isolate Enterococcus spp. and Lactobacillus spp.. The minimum inhibitory concentrations of 10 antimicrobials and copper sulfate were determined using an agar dilution method. The feed levels of Cu2+ for lactating sows, suckling piglets, and weaned piglets were 6, 177, and 18 mg/kg, respectively. All the 136 Enterococcus isolates were sensitive to vancomycin; and the resistance rates to penicillin, enrofloxacin, and high level streptomycin resistance increased significantly after weaning. For the 155 Lactobacillus isolates, the resistance rates to ampicillin, chloramphenicol, tetracycline, and enrofloxacin were significantly higher in weaned piglets. The ratios of copper tolerant Enterococcus and Lactobacillus isolates both increased significantly after weaning (P < 0.05). A phenotypic correlation was observed after classifying the isolates into two groups (CuSO4 MIC50 < 16 or 16 for enterococci; CuSO4 MIC50 < 12 or 12 for lactobacilli) and comparing the antimicrobial-resistant percentage of two groups. On species level, a significant increase of E. faecalis to enrofloxacin was observed in line with the increase of copper MIC (P < 0.05). The findings revealed the changes of the antibiotic resistance and copper tolerance level of enterococci and lactobacilli between suckling and weaned piglets and demonstrated that there might be a strong association between in-feed copper and increased antibiotic resistance in enterococci and lactobacilli in Chinese intensive swine farms.

        The Antecedent Factors Influencing Long-term Relationship Orientation in Overseas B2B Markets

        Purpose – Based on the past overseas business experiences of China Business to Business (B2B) enterprises, this study focuses on the influence of relationship marketing factors on the long-term relationship orientation of trading partners. First, this study discusses whether the relationship marketing factors in B2B environment-information sharing, customer orientation and interdependence will lead to the relationship satisfaction of enterprise customers. Then, it discusses whether relationship satisfaction leads to long-term relationship orientation of corporate customers. Finally, the mediating role of relationship satisfaction between relationship marketing factors and long-term relationship orientation is analyzed. Design/Methodology/Approach – The data were collected through questionnaires, and the persons in charge of sales and purchases of 350 B2B enterprises in China were investigated. Finally, 296 valid questionnaires were used for research and analysis. Findings – The analysis results of this study are summarized as follows: First, this study reveals the positive influence of relationship marketing factors such as information sharing, customer orientation and interdependence on relationship satisfaction. Second, relationship satisfaction is confirmed to have a positive impact on long-term relationship orientation. Third, the analysis of the mediating effect of relationship satisfaction shows that “relationship marketing factors lead to long-term relationship orientation through relationship satisfaction. Research Implications – This study confirms that information sharing, customer orientation, and interdependence are key factors that shape relationship satisfaction. Managers of B2B companies should have a clear understanding of relationship marketing. All policies and behaviors of an enterprise must be guided by the interests and needs of enterprise customers and ran through the entire process of production and marketing. Enterprises should strengthen two-way communication with corporate customers to understand each other’s needs and gradually form interdependent relationships with corporate customers. They should provide customers with comprehensive and thoughtful services, so that they can have a sense of identity and belonging to the enterprise, and then achieve relationship satisfaction and be willing to maintain a long-term relationship.

      • Construction and Performance Analysis of BIBD-QC-LDPC Codes for Correcting Erasure-Bursts

        This paper presents a novel approach for constructing structured regular QC-LDPC codes based on a special type of combinatorial designs,known as the balanced incomplete block design (BIBD).The code design approach based on the technology of block cyclic shift and dispertion (BCSD) for correcting erasure-bursts over the binary bursts erasure channel (BBEC). Furthermore, the Tanner graph of the constructed codes is free of 4-cycles, hence the BCSD-QC-LDPC codes have girth at least 6. The simulation results show that the BCSD-QC-LDPC codes perform well over the BBEC channel with iterative message-passing decoding.

        Damage detection of bridge structures under moving loads based on CEEMD and PSD sensitivity analysis

        This study proposes a new damage identification method based on a combination of complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition (CEEMD) and power spectrum density (PSD) sensitivity analysis to analyze the acceleration signals of bridge structures under moving loads and achieve damage detection of bridge structures. This paper has achieved the ability to accurately identify the location of cracks and the extent of the damage along a girder with only one acceleration sensor arrangement. The measured data is processed by the CEEMD method. The damage location is revealed by directly examining the first-order intrinsic mode function corresponding to the highest-order pseudo-frequency component, which presents an abrupt change at the damage location. Secondly, after determining the damage location of the bridge, only the power spectrum sensitivity analysis of the crack parameters at the damage location is required to obtain the damage level, avoiding the need to blindly solve the power spectrum for all elements. Finally, the identification method is validated by considering environmental noise, damage locations, and crack depths. The numerical simulation results and experiments for various working conditions show that the method adopted in this paper has good identification capability in identifying cracks in bridge structures.

        Traditional Chinese medicine classifies peripheral nerve impairment as paralysis and arthromyodynia, and considers that it is the result of defects of meridians and vessels, QI and blood, bones and muscles. Huangqi (Astragalus) Guizhi (Cassia Twig) Wuwu Tang, as a Qi invigorating formula, is usually used to improve peripheral nerve impairment. In recent years, some scholars have conducted research into Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) treatment with Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Tang and certain values of this treatment approach have been identified. CIPN is a type of blood-arthralgia Zheng in traditional Chinese medicine theory. In this review, we will discuss the treatment of CIPN with Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Tang according to blood-arthtalgia Zheng.

        Cantharidin Overcomes Imatinib Resistance by Depleting BCR-ABL in Chronic Myeloid Leukemia

        Cantharidin (CTD) is an active compound isolated from the traditional Chinese medicine blister beetle and displayed anticancer properties against various types of cancer cells. However, little is known about its effect on human chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) cells, including imatinib-resistant CML cells. The objective of this study was to investigate whether CTD could overcome imatinib resistance in imatinib-resistant CML cells and to explore the possible underlying mechanisms associated with the effect. Our results showed that CTD strongly inhibited the growth of both imatinib-sensitive and imatinib-resistant CML cells. CTD induced cell cycle arrest at mitotic phase and triggered DNA damage in CML cells. The ATM/ATR inhibitor CGK733 abrogated CTD-induced mitotic arrest but promoted the cytotoxic effects of CTD. In addition, we demonstrated that CTD downregulated the expression of the BCR-ABL protein and suppressed its downstream signal transduction. Real-time quantitative PCR revealed that CTD inhibited BCR-ABL at transcriptional level. Knockdown of BCR-ABL increased the cell-killing effects of CTD in K562 cells. These findings indicated that CTD overcomes imatinib resistance through depletion of BCR-ABL. Taken together, CTD is an important new candidate agent for CML therapy.

        Prevalence and Molecular Characterization of Echinococcus granulosus sensu stricto in Northern Xinjiang, China

        Echinococcus granulosus is an important zoonotic parasite globally causing cystic echinococcosis (CE) in hu- mans and animals. In this study, prevalence of CE and variation of cox1 gene sequence were analyzed with isolates E. granulosus collected from different areas in northern Xinjiang, China. The survey showed that 3.5% of sheep and 4.1% of cattle were infected with CE. Fragment of cox1 was amplified from all the positive sheep and cattle samples by PCR. In addition, 26 positive samples across the 4 areas were included. The isolates were all E. granulosus sensu stricto (s.s.) containing 15 haplotypes (Hap1-15), and clustered into 2 genotypes, G1 (90.1%, 91/101) and G3 (9.9%, 10/101). Hap1 was the most common haplotype (48.5%, 49/101). Hap9 were found in humans samples, indicating that sheep and cattle reservoir human CE. It is indicate that E. granulosus may impact on control of CE in livestock and humans in the region.
