      • Research of Automatic Configuration Technology for Virtual Machines based on Cloud Computing

        Cloud resource managers face many problems, such as the dynamic changes of incoming load and demand elasticity of resources. From the aspect of elastic configuration management technology of virtual resources, this paper focus on how to provide quick and reliable cloud resources for users. Virtual machine resources automatic configuration management technology is proposed in this paper, the reverse reinforcement learning technique is introduced into cloud virtual resource management, configuration management process of the virtual machine is modeled as a Markov decision model. According to the running state of the application system and the dynamic changes of the input load, this technology can make an automatic decision to add or remove a number of virtual machines. Experimental results show that this technology can complete the tasks of automating configuration of virtual resource management according to the changing load, respond to end user's in a timely manner, and ensure the SLA requirements of cloud users.

      • An Interactive Job Scheduling Algorithm Based on Hadoop

        Job scheduling is an important component of Hadoop. Hadoop default FIFO scheduling algorithm is simple and easy to achieve and widely used; but it lacks consideration in the characteristic of data locality, which will lead to heavy traffic during network transmission and task execution, then computing resources cannot be fully utilized and a series of other drawbacks. Meanwhile the static function of resource slots in Map and Reduce stages make such defects worse. This paper proposes a job scheduling algorithm (Interactive Scheduler Algorithm) IS based on interacting the master node and slave nodes from the data locality and tasks allocation. The algorithm improves FIFO and the usage of computing resource, realizes the dynamic conversion of map slots and reduces slots. In the end through the comparison of experiment it is proved that the IS has a great improvement in job scheduling for Hadoop.

        Analysis of Finite Element Mechanism of Axial Compressive Behavior of T-Shaped Stiffened Concrete-Filled Steel Tubular Stub Columns After Uniform Fire Exposure

        Based on the reasonable determination of material constitutive relationship and interaction model between concrete and steel tube, a fi nite element model of T-shaped stiff ened concrete-fi lled steel tube (TSCFST) stub column exposed to uniform fi re was established, and model reliability was verifi ed. Through the FE model, the working mechanism of the model in the whole process of loading was analyzed in detail. In the process of axial compression, the load distributions of steel tube and concrete, and the interaction between steel tube and concrete were discussed. This paper analyzed the eff ects of the main factors on residual bearing capacity of TSCFST stub columns, and put forward the calculation formula of the residual bearing capacity of TSCFST stub columns after uniform fi re exposure.

      • A Novel Combination Forecasting Algorithm Based on Time Series

        To effectively predict cigarette sales and improve the competitiveness of tobacco business enterprises, the characteristics of actual cigarette sales were detailed analyzed. Due to the long-term growth trends, seasonal fluctuations and the nonlinearity of monthly sales, we established three single forecasting models, which are Exponential Smoothing (ES), Seasonal Decomposition (SD) and Radial Basis Function (RBF) neural network. After obtaining the predicted value of three single models, the combination forecasting model was proposed. The weights of the three single models were computed using Mean Absolute Error and the mean relative error respectively, the result shows that relative error is more effective. A dynamic weight combination forecasting method based on RBF is proposed and compared with fixed weight method. Finally, the prediction accuracy of different models was compared based on the criteria of MAPE and RMSE, and the effectiveness of the combination method was proved, the proposed model can take advantage of the strengths of the three single models, the results indicate that the combination forecasting model suitable for cigarette sales has higher prediction accuracy. In some cases, the prediction accuracy of the fixed weight combination model is better than the dynamic weight combination model. The results can provide a certain reference to cigarette sales forecasting.

        An Improved Shared-Path Protection Algorithm for Double-Link Failures in Meshed WDM Optical Networks

        In this paper, we investigate survivability in wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) mesh networks and propose a new algorithm called improved shared-path protection (ISPP) to completely tolerate the double-link failures. Compared with previous algorithms for protecting double-link failures, i.e., sharedpath protection (SPP) and shared-link protection (SLP), the advantage of ISPP is to allow primary paths and backup paths to share the mixed wavelength-links based on the proposed new rules in which some primary wavelength-links can be changed to mixed wavelength-links,which can be shared by primary paths and backup paths. In addition, some mixed wavelength-links also can be shared by different backup paths for saving resources. Simulation results show that ISPP algorithm performs better in resource utilization ratio and blocking probability than conventional SPP and SLP algorithms.

        <P><B>Summary</B></P> <P>Programmed cell death (PCD) plays critical roles in plant immunity but must be regulated to prevent excessive damage. The E3 ubiquitin ligase SPL11 negatively regulates PCD and immunity in plants. We show that <I>S</I>PL11 cell-<I>d</I>eath <I>s</I>uppressor <I>2</I> (SDS2), an S-domain receptor-like kinase, positively regulates PCD and immunity in rice by engaging and regulating SPL11 and related kinases controlling defense responses. An <I>sds2</I> mutant shows reduced immune responses and enhanced susceptibility to the blast fungus <I>Magnaporthe oryzae</I>. Conversely, <I>SDS2</I> over-expression induces constitutive PCD accompanied by elevated immune responses and enhanced resistance to <I>M. oryzae</I>. SDS2 interacts with and phosphorylates SPL11, which in turn ubiquitinates SDS2, leading to its degradation. In addition, SDS2 interacts with related receptor-like cytoplasmic kinases, OsRLCK118/176, that positively regulate immunity by phosphorylating the NADPH oxidase OsRbohB to stimulate ROS production.         Study on the lubrication state and pitting damage of spur gear using a 3D mixed EHL model with fractal surface roughness

        For high-speed, heavy-load gear units, the meshing tooth surfaces are generally under the mixed lubrication state, which is crucial for gear pitting or micro pitting damage. To clarify the effects of lubrication state on tooth pitting damage, carrying out both numerical and experimental studies on the contact severity of gears under different lubrication states is necessary. In this paper, a 3D line-contact elasto hydrodynamic lubrication model considering fractal surface roughness was developed and used to investigate the lubrication characteristics of involute gears. Both the distributions of pressure and film thickness fluctuated under the rolling contact of rough surfaces. The fluctuations became more substantial with the increase of load and roughness. Furthermore, from the calculated film thickness ratio λ, the contact of gear tooth surfaces with a fractal roughness of Ra = 0.8 μm was always under full lubrication state (λ > 1). When the roughness was increased to Ra = 3.2 μm, the contact was first transmitted into the mixed lubrication state (0.2 < λ < 1) under the load of 1000 N*m and finally deteriorated to boundary lubrication state (λ < 0.2) under the load of 2000 N*m. The boundary lubrication state that occurred under the contact of highly rough surfaces could induce the formation of gear pitting damage. The contact fatigue test showed the gear tooth surface roughness increased from 0.7 μm to around 2.7 μm after 8 million running cycles and then suffered pitting failure after another 2 million cycles, which was consistent with the simulation analysis prediction.
