Background: Myocardial ischemia and reperfusion injury (MI/RI) is a complex pathophysiological process, which can lead to severe myocardial injury. The long noncoding RNA alpha-2-macroglobulin antisense RNA 1 (A2M-AS1) has been revealed to be abnormally expressed in MI, However, its function in MI and the potential mechanism are still unclear. Objective: To evaluate the functional role of A2M-AS1 in hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R)-induced neonatal cardiomyocytes and its potential molecular mechanism. Methods: Dataset GSE66360 was obtained from GEO database for analyzing the RNA expression of A2M-AS1 and interleukin 1 receptor type 2 (IL1R2). KEGG pathway enrichment analysis of the genes that co-expressed with A2M-AS1 was performed. Human neonatal cardiomyocytes were subjected to H/R to construct in vitro models. QRT-PCR and Western blot were adopted to test the levels of mRNA and protein. The viability and apoptosis of cardiomyocytes were tested by CCK-8 and flow cytometry assays, respectively. Results: The expression of A2M-AS1 was notably downregulated in H/R-treated cardiomyocytes. Overexpression of A2M-AS1 can notably enhance the cell viability of H/R-damaged cardiomyocytes, whereas knockdown of A2M-AS1 showed the opposite outcomes. Besides, a negative correlation was showed between A2M-AS1 and IL1R2 expression. In H/R-treated cardiomyocytes, overexpression of IL1R2 weakened the promoting proliferation and anti-apoptosis effects caused by overexpressing A2M-AS1, however, IL1R2-knockdown abolished the anti-proliferation and pro-apoptosis effects caused by silencing A2M-AS1. Conclusion: This study demonstrates the potential regulatory role of A2M-AS1/ IL1R2 axis in cardiomyocytes suffered from H/R, and provides insight into the protection of MI/RI.

Autographa californica nucleopolyhedrovirus (AcMNPV) has a large doublestrand DNA genome of approximately 134 kbp and harbors 156 open reading frames (ORFs). To elucidate DNA replication cascade of AcMNPV, we developed a novel baculovirus genome that can be maintained in Escherichia coli as a plasmid and can infect susceptible lepidopteran insect cells. This genome, named bAc-MK, contains a mini-F replicon and a kanamycin resistance marker. Using a convenient Tn7 transposon-based system, pPCS-S, 55 single ORF-truncated mutants were generated by random insertion into bAc-MK genome. These single ORF-truncated mutants were independently transfected into Sf9 cells, 16 of them were found affecting viral replication since they defected in producing polyhedra. Furthermore, to verify the pathogenicity of the single ORF-truncated mutants, the remaining 39 mutants were subjected to bioassay to Spodoptera exigua 3rd instar larvae. Among them, ac9-, ac49-, ac103- and ac105-knockout mutants showed higher mortality compared to that of bAc-MK. These results suggested that these ORFs could be related to pathogenicity of AcMNPV.
A new converter for improving efficiency of multi-actuators fluid power system

This paper is concerned with the application of energy efficient fluid power in mobile robots system and proposes a new fluid power converter system which is analogous to a boost converter in power electronics. The fluid power converter system is based on the principle of pulse-width modulation. The fluid power converter has an effect akin to an electrical switched inductance transformer, wherein the output pressure or flow rate can be stepped up or down. Using an inductive reactance device (an inertia mass-block), the output flow and pressure can be varied to meet the load by a means that does not rely on dissipation of power (the resistance control). The simulation model based on the mathematics models of the components is built to analyse the performance of the fluid power converter. It is clearly shown that the fluid power converter has higher energy efficiency than conventional resistance control manners.

Using a convenient Tn7 transposon-based system, pPCS-S, which contains an ampicillin resistance gene, 56 single ORF-truncated mutants were generated by random insertion into bAc-MK genome. These single ORF-truncated mutants were independently transfected into Sf9 cells to verify viral replication. Interestingly, both lef-1 and p48 knockout mutants showed normal viral replication in infected cells, which are reported to essential for viral replication. These results suggest that these single ORF-truncated mutants are useful for elucidation of viral replication cascade.

The intelligent agriculture monitoring is based on the perception and analysis of environmental data, which enables the monitoring of the production environment and the control of environmental regulation equipment. As the scale of the application continues to expand, a large amount of data will be generated from the perception layer and uploaded to the cloud service, which will bring challenges of insufficient bandwidth and processing capacity. A fog-based offline and real-time hybrid data analysis architecture was proposed in this paper, which combines offline and real-time analysis to enable real-time data processing on resource-constrained IoT devices. Furthermore, we propose a data process-ing algorithm based on the incremental principal component analysis, which can achieve data dimensionality reduction and update of principal components. We also introduce the concept of Squared Prediction Error (SPE) value and realize the abnormal detection of data through the combination of SPE value and data fusion algorithm. To ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the algorithm, we design a regular-SPE hybrid model update strategy, which enables the principal component to be updated on demand when data anomalies are found. In addition, this strategy can significantly reduce resource consumption growth due to the data analysis architectures. Practical datasets-based simulations have confirmed that the proposed algorithm can perform data fusion and exception processing in real-time on resource-constrained devices; Our model update strategy can reduce the overall system resource consumption while ensuring the accuracy of the algorithm.

QUADRATIC B-SPLINE FINITE ELEMENT METHOD FOR THE BENJAMIN-BONA-MAHONY-BURGERS EQUATION
Yong-Xue Yin,GUANG-RI PIAO 영남수학회 2013 East Asian mathematical journal Vol.29 No.5
A quadratic B-spline finite element method for the spatial variable combined with a Newton method for the time variable is proposed to approximate a solution of Benjamin-Bona-Mahony-Burgers (BBMB) equation. Two examples were considered to show the efficiency of the proposed scheme. The numerical solutions obtained for various viscosity were compared with the exact solutions. The numerical results show that the scheme is efficient and feasible.
