        Bronchopulmonary Infection of Lophomonas blattarum: A Case and Literature Review

        Human infections with Lophomonas blattarum are rare. However, the majority of the infections occurred in China, 94.4% (136 cases) of all cases in the world. This infection is difficult to differentiate from other pulmonary infections with similar symptoms. Here we reported a case of L. blattarum infection confirmed by bronchoalveolar lavage fluid smear on the microscopic observations. The patient was a 21-year-old female college student. The previous case which occurred in Chongqing was 20 years ago. We briefly reviewed on this infection reported in the world during the recent 20 years. The epidemiological characteristics, possible diagnostic basis, and treatment of this disease is discussed in order to provide a better understanding of recognition, diagnosis, and treatment of L. blattarum infection.

      • One-Step Oxidation of Benzene Producing Eight High Value Compounds Using Nitric Acid and Hydrogen Peroxide

        Benzene was oxidized by binary oxidants composed of nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide at 80℃. The product obtained was analyzed with gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer. Eight high value compounds, 2-nitrophenol, 2-chloro-6-nitrophenol, 4-chloro-2- nitrophenol, 2-chloro-4-nitrophenol, 2,4-dinitrophenol, 4-nitrophenol, 2,6-dinitrophenol and 2-chloro-4,6-dinitro-phenol were found, which they have high contents in the range from 4.28% to 32.52%. These compounds are very widely used in organic synthesis. e.g., synthesizing dye, medicines and chemical reagents, pesticide, explosive, polymer, etc.

        일반논문 : 기독교와 "문학"의 현대적 의미의 형성

        이 논문의 목적은 “문학”이라는 단어의 현대적 의미의 형성에 대해 논하는 것이다. 이는 명나라 말기 천주교와 청나라 말기 기독교가 함께 작용한 결과라고 생각된다. 1623년에 줄리오 알레니(Giulio Aleni)는 『서학범(西學凡)』과 『직방외기(職方外紀)』라는 두 책을 판각, 출판했다. 그는 이 책에서 ‘문예지학(文藝之學)'이라는 용어를 제시했으며, 문예지학의 주요한 내용으로 각종의 시문과 논설문 등을 포함시켰다. 1635년에 양정균(楊廷筠)은 『대의속편(代疑續篇)』에서 알레니의 『직방외기』를 인용하며 ‘문예지학'이라는 용어를 ‘문학(文學)'으로 바꾸어 사용하였다. 그때부터 ‘문학'이라는 용어는 『논어』에서 유가 경서와 교육 수신 중심으로 정의되었던 예전의 의미에서 벗어나기 시작했다. 그 뒤로 청나라 중엽 이후 알레니와 같은 기독교 선교사들은 양정균의 ‘문학'이라는 용어와 용법을 계속 사용했다. 『육합총담(六合叢談)』 에서 ‘문학'이라는 용어는 역사적 사실을 소재로 한 서사시와 희·비극 그리고 역사와 전기 등 서양 고전문학 종류를 의미하며, 심지어 서양사람들의 관념에 있는 수사학까지 포함한다. ‘문학'의 현대적 의미는 이때부터 완전하게 형성되었고, 위원(魏源)의 『해국도지(海國圖志)』라든가 양계초(梁啓超)등과 같은 유신파(維新派) 인사들이 원용함에 따라 점차적으로 중국 현대성의 일환으로 변화해 갔다. This paper argues that wenxue, or literature as we understand it today, came into being as the result of collaborations that took place between the 17th and 19th centuries among Catholic missionaries and Protestant priests in China. Browsing through early Jesuit works like Guilio Aleni's Xixue fan, published in 1623, one already witnesses the expression wenyi zhi xue, or “the study of creative writing,” employed to denote what traditional scholars regarded as shi and ci poetry. Aleni's usage of this term denotes famous sayings by ancient sages, historical accounts of nations, poetry and prose, and argumentative essays. In his Zhifan waiji, also published in 1623, Aleni again referred to literature as wenyi. Twelve years later, when the Christian convert Yang Tingyun, changing only one character in Aleni's phrase, employed the term wenxue in his booklet Daiyi supien, he clearly meant what Aleni had referred to as “literature.” China's literary modernity therefore has deep roots in Jesuit influence. Before the 20th century, however, Yang's wenxue was reinforced and even enriched by such Protestant missionaries as Joseph Adkins in his columns on Western Learning, which began appearing in the Shanghai Serial in the 1850s. Adkins provides a general account of Western literature since Homer, introduces distinguished genres such as tragedy and comedy. Further, by including historiography and rhetoric under the rubric of wenxue, he enlarges the scope of this term to its full, modern dimensions, followed by Wei Yuan and Liang Qichao, political, social, and even literary reformists flourished after the Mid-Qing.

        Morphology Characterization and Mechanism Analysis of the Microstructure of LiNbO3 Crystals Fabricated by Using Focused Ion Beam Milling

        This paper reports the basic results obtained from an investigation of the microstructure of lithium niobate (LiNbO3) crystals fabricated by using the focused ion beam (FIB) sputtering method. The morphology characterization of the microstructure is explained in terms of scanning electron microscopy observations based on the geometrical integrity, surface smoothness, cross-sectional area, aspect ratio, etc. The optimized micro-fabrication conditions and the sample morphology characterization are presented, and the sputtering rate of Ga ions for a 30-keV energy milling of the LiNbO3 crystal is calculated, which is lower than the theoretical one gained from “The Stopping and Range of Ions in Matter” (SRIM) sputtering simulation due to the redeposition effect being enhanced with increasing milling depth

        Supervised‐learning‐based algorithm for color image compression

        A correlation exists between luminance samples and chrominance samples of a color image. It is beneficial to exploit such interchannel redundancy for color image compression. We propose an algorithm that predicts chrominance components Cb and Cr from the luminance component Y. The prediction model is trained by supervised learning with Laplacian‐regularized least squares to minimize the total prediction error. Kernel principal component analysis mapping, which reduces computational complexity, is implemented on the same point set at both the encoder and decoder to ensure that predictions are identical at both the ends without signaling extra location information. In addition, chrominance subsampling and entropy coding for model parameters are adopted to further reduce the bit rate. Finally, luminance information and model parameters are stored for image reconstruction. Experimental results show the performance superiority of the proposed algorithm over its predecessor and JPEG, and even over JPEG‐XR. The compensation version with the chrominance difference of the proposed algorithm performs close to and even better than JPEG2000 in some cases.

        중국의 피아노 독주 작품인 <봄의 댄스>는 1949년 이후 중국 1세대 피아니스트인 순이강(孙以强)의 작품으로 2014, 2015년에 “중국 백년 걸작 피아노곡 모음집”에 선정되어 실렸다. 세계 각국의 피아노 연주자가 이 곡을 다른 버전으로 녹음하였는데, 본 연구에서는 중국의 연주가인 Lang Lang이 발행한 개인 앨범과 미국의 피아노 연주자인 Joel Schoenhals의 연주 버전을 선택하여 연구 대상으로 하였으며, 음악 원본과 연주 시간에 대해 차원적으로 분석하였다. 음향학의 측정과 IOI편차 곡선의 방법을 사용하였으며, 거시적으로는 속도 및 강약 그리고 미시적으로는 리듬의 변화로 나누어서 연주자 개인의 연주 스타일의 특징과 연주 중 음악 요소 처리의 표준을 종합하여, <봄의 댄스>의 각기 다른 연주 버전의 특징에 대해 컴퓨터 시각화 분석을 실시하였다. 미학의 관점에서 볼 때, 피아노 연주는 음악 작품 독자적인 특색의 형식미와 내용미가 부각되는 예술이다. 일반적으로 곡의 음표의 변화는 진정한 표현효과와 사람의 청각에의 직접적인 호소가 된다. 이렇게 연주자의 감정 판단을 뽑아낸 후의 연주 분석은 결코 연주를 예술적 구상과 밀접하게 연결시키지 못한다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터를 사용한 도형화와 시각화하는 분석 방법을 통하여, 중국과 서양을 대표하는 연주자들이 동일한 작품을 재해석하는 특성과 규칙을 연구하고자, 효과적인 분할과 점층적으로 연주자의 악단, 악절, 악구 및 더 나아가서 음표 하나하나 간의 비례관계, 관련한 속도의 유연성과 리듬의 변화를 나타내었다. 또한 이를 통해 음악 연주자의 활동에 실제적인 도움이 되고자 한다. The piano solo “Spring Dance” was composed by Sun Yiqiang, who is one of the first-generation pianists in China since 1949. In 2014 and 2015, it was selected to be a part of China's Centennial Classic Piano Collections. Pianists across the world have recorded different versions of it. In this paper, two versions have been selected for comparison through a visualized analysis using a computer. They include Mr. Lang Lang's performance, which is recorded as the first Chinese piano album in the world, and Mr. Joel Schoenhals' performance, as an American pianist. The purpose of this research is to reveal the personal style and processing of musical elements during the performance at both the macro and micro level, through common methodologies including the acoustic measurement and IOI deviation curve. From an aesthetic perspective, the aim of piano performance is to deliver the beauty of music, both in form and content, to the audience. Traditionally, such delivery was achieved by converting the music score to a hearing effect. In addition, former researchers were dependent on the subjective judgment and analysis of harmony texture for the study of piano performance art. The drawback of such a conventional approach, wherein the performer's emotion is ignored, is that one can hardly connect the performance to the real artistic conception of the music. The highlight of this paper is the application of a computeraided, visualized analysis to explore the re-creation features of the same music score by “oriental” and “western” pianists. The visualized analysis may demonstrate the performer's expression on a music paragraph, phrase, and bar, until single notes, and their fluctuation and flexibility on the pace. This paper aims to provide reference and guidance for activities involving piano performances.

        벼 이앙재배에서 유기질 복합비료 시용이 잡초억제와 벼 생육환경에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 유기질 복합비료가 벼 재배 논에서 잡초 및 벼 생육에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 수행되었다. 실내 검정 시험에서 유기질 복합비료를 125-250㎏ 10a-1 처리시 이앙벼는 지상부가 10.3~27.2% 증가하였고, 피는 50.3-89.2%의 출현이 억제되었으며, 사마귀풀은 낮은 처리량에서도 높은 감수성을 보였다, 유기질 복합비료는 피, 물달개비, 사마귀풀에 대하여 담수심(1-5㎝)이 깊을수록 높게 억제하였으나, 올방개와 같은 사초과 잡초에 대해서는 억제 효과가 나타나지 않았다. 또 20-35℃의 비교적 높은 온도에서 피와 물달개비는 각각 75.4~92.2%, 49.5~81.6%의 높은 출현억제율을 나타냈다. 유기질 복합비료 시용 10일 후 낙수 시 피와 물달개비는 각각 33.7%, 23.0%의 출현억제율을 나타내었다. 포장시험에서 시험 후 토양의 유기물은 관행구애서 유기질 복합비료 시용구보다 약간 낮게 나타났다. 벼의 생육은 초장 및 경수가 관행구 대비 적었으며 그 차이는 생육후기에 더 많이 나타났고, 벼의 수량은 관행구 대비 4% 감소하였다. 논잡초 억제 효과는 유기질 복합비료 시용구에서 60.5%로 관행구 보다 낮게 나타났다. The effects of organic-compound fertilizer on weed control and rice growth in the transplanting rice cultivation were researched in this article. The results showed that the growth of transplanted rice was promoted (the increased rate was 10.3 - 27.2 %), but the plant number for Echinochloa crus-galli was controlled (the inhibition rate was 50.3~89.2%), besides, small amount of organic-compound fertilizer in controlling Aneilema keisak was highly effective when the transplanted rice was treated with 125~250 ㎏ 10a-1 organic-compound fertilizer. Moreover, E. crus-galli, Monochoria vaginalis and A. keisak were inhibited largely by increasing the water depth (1~5 ㎝), whereas Eleocharis kuroguwai and other sedges weeds were not effected by water depth. Compared with the temperature of 20~35℃, the plant occurrence of E. crus-galli and M. vaginalis at high temperature was inhibited (the inhibition rate were 75.4 -92.2% and 49.5% - 81.6%, respectively). When the transplanted rice was treated with the above organic-compound fertilizer after 10day, the inhibition rate of plant occurrence for E. crus-galli and M. vaginalis was 33.7% and 23.3%, respectively. Similarly, in the later period of rice growth, the plant height and the numbers of tiller grew slowly in conventional soil in comparison with the soil treated with organic-compound fertilizer. It has been found that the rice yield in experimental soil was decreased by 4%. This result in the field experiment showed that organic material contents in conventional soil were lower than that in soil which used the organic-compound fertilizer. Weed control in experimental soil showed 60.5% lower effects than that in conventional soil.

        LncRNA A2M-AS1 lessens the injury of cardiomyocytes caused by hypoxia and reoxygenation via regulating IL1R2

        Background Myocardial ischemia and reperfusion injury (MI/RI) is a complex pathophysiological process, which can lead to severe myocardial injury. The long noncoding RNA alpha-2-macroglobulin antisense RNA 1 (A2M-AS1) has been revealed to be abnormally expressed in MI, However, its function in MI and the potential mechanism are still unclear. Objective To evaluate the functional role of A2M-AS1 in hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R)-induced neonatal cardiomyocytes and its potential molecular mechanism. Methods Dataset GSE66360 was obtained from GEO database for analyzing the RNA expression of A2M-AS1 and interleukin 1 receptor type 2 (IL1R2). KEGG pathway enrichment analysis of the genes that co-expressed with A2M-AS1 was performed. Human neonatal cardiomyocytes were subjected to H/R to construct in vitro models. QRT-PCR and Western blot were adopted to test the levels of mRNA and protein. The viability and apoptosis of cardiomyocytes were tested by CCK-8 and flow cytometry assays, respectively. Results The expression of A2M-AS1 was notably downregulated in H/R-treated cardiomyocytes. Overexpression of A2M-AS1 can notably enhance the cell viability of H/R-damaged cardiomyocytes, whereas knockdown of A2M-AS1 showed the opposite outcomes. Besides, a negative correlation was showed between A2M-AS1 and IL1R2 expression. In H/R-treated cardiomyocytes, overexpression of IL1R2 weakened the promoting proliferation and anti-apoptosis effects caused by overexpressing A2M-AS1, however, IL1R2-knockdown abolished the anti-proliferation and pro-apoptosis effects caused by silencing A2M-AS1. Conclusion This study demonstrates the potential regulatory role of A2M-AS1/ IL1R2 axis in cardiomyocytes suffered from H/R, and provides insight into the protection of MI/RI.
