Separation of basic compounds using reverse phase chromatography on a silica-based stationary phase represents a major challenge, because of the interaction between the cationic sites of the basic compounds with the anionic silanols of the stationary phase. This study presents a simple, reliable, and organic solvent - free liquid chromatographic method for the determination of terbutaline and salbutamol, in which a room temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) is used as mobile phase additive. We investigated various mobile phase parameters affecting the retention of the two compounds, such as types and concentration of RTILs and, pH of the mobile phase were investigated. The developed method was validated according to International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines and successfully applied effectively to determine salbutamol sulfate in pharmaceutical preparations.

Ampicillin and Sulbactam (2:1, w/w) are combined in formulation to provide broader antibacterial action in treatment of many infections. The development of analytical method for simultaneouly determine these two compounds was difficult because of the differences in their chemical structures and ratio in the formulation. Current published methods still have some limitations. In this study, we developed an alternative highperformance liquid chromatography (HPLC) assay method for simultaneously determination of ampicillin sodium and sulbactam sodium in powder for injection. Method validation of HPLC method was conducted to determine linearity, precision, accuracy, system suitability, robustness. The linearity of the calibration curves in the desired concentration range was good (r2 > 0.9994). RSDs of intra-day and inter-day precision obtained were less than 2.00 %. Accuracy was obtained with the recoveries in range of 98.42 % and 101.36 %. As a result of system suitability, RSD of both retention time and the peak area obtained were not more than 1.0 %. The values of plate number were more than 7000 and symmetric factors obtained were 0.8. As intermediate-precision and robustness of the developed assay, it could be expected to become valuable tools for revising the Korean Pharmacopoeia (KP XI).
Development of 3D PPF/DEF scaffolds using micro-stereolithography and surface modification.

<P>Poly(propylene fumarate) (PPF) is an ultraviolet-curable and biodegradable polymer with potential applications for bone regeneration. In this study, we designed and fabricated three-dimensional (3D) porous scaffolds based on a PPF polymer network using micro-stereolithography (MSTL). The 3D scaffold was well fabricated with a highly interconnected porous structure and porosity of 65%. These results provide a new scaffold fabrication method for tissue engineering. Surface modification is a commonly used and effective method for improving the surface characteristics of biomaterials without altering their bulk properties that avoids the expense and long time associated with the development of new biomaterials. Therefore, we examined surface modification of 3D scaffolds by applying accelerated biomimetic apatite and arginine-glycine-aspartic acid (RGD) peptide coating to promote cell behavior. The apatite coating uniformly covered the scaffold surface after immersion for 24 h in 5-fold simulated body fluid (5SBF) and then the RGD peptide was applied. Finally, the coated 3D scaffolds were seeded with MC3T3-E1 pre-osteoblasts and their biologic properties were evaluated using an MTS assay and histologic staining. We found that 3D PPF/diethyl fumarate (DEF) scaffolds fabricated with MSTL and biomimetic apatite coating can be potentially used in bone tissue engineering.</P>

Income Distribution and Factors Affecting the Bank’s Stability

Purpose: Research on banking sustainability plays an important role in helping banks understand the level of risk in different types of companies. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the factors affecting the sustainability of Joint Stock Commercial Banks in Vietnam. Research design, data and methodology: The following theories, the factors affecting the bank's sustainability include: Business model diversification (income diversification), bank size, loan ratio, and net interest margin. Data was collected from Joint Stock Commercial banks in Vietnam from 2015 to 2019. With GLS model on panel data with banks listed on Vietnam stock exchange. Results: The analysis results show that net interest income has a positive impact on the sustainable business results of banks through the rate of return on total assets (ROA). The non-interest income hasn’t impact on bank stability. From this result, there aren’t positive signs of income diversification in banks. At the same time, with the obtained results, the study also provides a policy implication for banks. Conclusions: The study also provides some policy implications to improve the bank stability. Diversifying income in banks is necessary, but how to make it influential banks has not yet been done. Therefore, the adjustments in non-interest business activities need to be carefully considered by banks.
An HPLC method for the determination of thioctic acid in raw material and tablets

Thioctic acid is a vitamin-like antioxidant which is prepared as tablets and injection. The Korean Pharmacopoeia (KP XI) contains monograph for the quality control of raw thioctic acid using ultra-violet visible spectrophotometry and its formulations using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). In British Pharmacopoeia 2013 (BP2013), another HPLC method is used for the assay test of thioctic acid material. For the international harmonization, we present an HPLC method for quantitation of thioctic acid in both raw material and tablets. Method validation was performed to determine linearity, precision, accuracy, system suitability, and robustness. The linearity of calibration curves in the desired concentration range was high ($r^2=0.9995$), while the RSDs for intra- and inter-day precision were 0.93 ~ 1.26 % and 1.40 ~ 1.76 %, respectively. Accuracies ranged from 98.13-100.00 %. Since the system suitability, intermediate-precision and robustness of the assay were satisfactory, this method will be a valuable addition to the Korean Pharmacopoeia (KP XI).
Importance of Lecturer's Role in Management Education

Purpose: This study is undertaken from the standpoint of student-centered learning and theoretical paradigms that have developed in the business world and display conceptual affinities: the transfer of knowledge and training. Research design, data and methodology: Utilizing questionnaire surveys and multivariate data analysis are two research methodologies (CFA, SEM). Around 201 undergraduate students who were studying in Vietnam provided the data. Results: The results show importance of the faculty role in students’ knowledge acquisition. The findings show that Ability to form a good relationship positively influences the development of competence. Additionally, neither ability to develop a good relationship nor learning drive or knowledge acquisition are significantly correlated with one another. The growth of competencies is positively impacted by the suitability of teaching approaches. Knowledge acquisition is favorably impacted by learning motivation, and knowledge acquisition in turn is positively impacted by competence development. Conclusions: Research has shown the important role of lecturers in students' knowledge acquisition. From this result, some implications related to lecturers are also given to help improve students' ability to acquire knowledge. Building good relationships with students (ready to answer questions, positive relationships) and good expertise will help increase learning motivation, ability to acquire knowledge as well as improve development for students.
