Is “Globalization” the Main Cause of Wage Inequality?
Xiu ling Yin 한국유통과학회 2017 한국유통과학회 학술대회 논문집 Vol.2017 No.-
Trump, the new president of the United States, won the election victory for the reason of meeting the needs of the poor against globalization, which shows that anti-globalization is very popular in the United States. Is Globalization the main cause of rising wage inequality ?There are many theoretical and empirical literature on the relationship between globalization and wage inequality. This paper discusses the development of the theory in the past ten years, mainly discussing the trade model based on matching. Different scholars assume different scenarios, modify the models and get different conclusions. Matching can take a variety of forms. Workers can be matched with firms, with sectors, with managers, or with capital equipment, and the consequences of trade for wages depend on these particulars.

To probe the genomic properties of microbes thriving in desert lakes, we sequenced the full genome of a betaproteobacterial strain (SL110) belonging to the understudied genus Caenimonas of the family Comamonadaceae. This strain was isolated from a freshwater lake in the western Gobi Desert, Northern China. Its genome contains genes encoding carbon monoxide dehydrogenase, nitrate reductase, nitrite reductase, nitric oxide reductase, and sulfur oxidation enzymes, highlighting the potentially important contribution of this group of bacteria to the cycling of inorganic elements in nature. Unexpectedly, a coenzyme F420 biosynthesis gene cluster was identified. A further search for F420 biosynthesis gene homologs in genomic databases suggests the possible widespread presence of F420 biosynthesis gene clusters in proteobacterial genomes.
The Comparison of Trade Patterns between China and Korea : Competition and Interdependency
Xiu Ling Yin 한국유통과학회 2013 KODISA ICBE (International Conference on Business Vol.2013 No.-
In the past 20 years, both China and Korea has developed greatly in international trade. In some aspects, China has surpassed Korea, now the two countries are the most important trade partners with each other. At the same time, there arise som intense competitions in some fields. Through comparison, we know that China moves up the value chain in terms of gross trade production, but the change in value added trade is much more mixed. Korea is moving up the value chain much better than China. The big changes are a massive loss of competitiveness in primary goods and significant increases in competitiveness in transport equipment and machinery nec(not else classified). Measured by the switch from foreign to domestic sources for intermediates, The latter two sectors are typically considered high-tech so the substitution of Korean intermediates for imported intermediates suggests a move up the value chain in these sectors.
The Stabilization and 3D Visual Simulation of the Triple Inverted Pendulum based on CGA-PIDNN
Xiu-Ling Zhang,Hong-Min Fan,Jia-Yin Zang,Liang Zhao,Shuang Hao 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2015 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.13 No.4
Aiming at the triple inverted pendulum which is a strong coupling, multivariable, high-order and unsteady system, a design method of the controller based on PID neural network (PIDNN) optimized by cloud genetic algorithm (CGA) is proposed, this method is called CGA-PIDNN. CGA can be applied to learn and train the PIDNN connection weights. CGA can overcome the defect of the slow convergence rate and premature convergence for genetic algorithm (GA). PIDNN is a simple and normative network which is easy to be realized and has a good dynamic performance. The CGA-PIDNN control system of triple inverted pendulum is verified with MATLAB simulation test. The comparison results with the control effect of PIDNN control system optimized by standard GA (GA-PIDNN) are presented first. Then in LabVIEW environment, by using the combination of virtual reality technology and MATLAB, the three-dimensional (3D) animation simulation model of the triple inverted pendulum CGA-PIDNN control system is built. The simulation results indicate that CGA-PIDNN control method is effective, whose control effects are superior to those by GA-PIDNN control, it is believed that CGAPIDNN is effective and will become a promising candidate of control methods.
Gallbladder Tuberculosis: CT Findings with Histopathologic Correlation
Xiu-Fang Xu,Ri-Sheng Yu,Ling-Ling Qiu,Jian Shen,Fei Dong,Ying Chen 대한영상의학회 2011 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.12 No.2
Objective: We wanted to describe the computed tomography (CT) fi ndings of gallbladder tuberculosis (TB) and to correlate them with pathologic fi ndings. Materials and Methods: There were seven patients (M:F = 3:4; mean age, 46.3 years; age range, 32 to 78 years) in whom gallbladder TB was eventually diagnosed. All of them underwent cross-sectional imaging with CT, a pathologic examination and a retrospective review. CT imaging evaluation was done in each case, including the fi ndings of a mass versus nodule, wall thickening (uniform or irregular) and the enhancement patterns (homogeneous or heterogeneous). Results: All the cases of gallbladder TB revealed the following three different CT fi ndings: micronodular lesion of the gallbladder wall (n = 1), a thickened wall (n = 4) and a gallbladder mass (n = 2). There were three cases of homogeneous enhancement of the lesions, including homogeneous enhancement with nodular lesion, homogeneous uniform thickness enhancement and homogeneous thickness enhancement in one case each, and these cases pathology showed tuberculous granuloma with a little caseating necrosis in one case and tuberculous granuloma with rich fi brous tissue, but little or no evident caseating necrosis in two cases. Four cases of heterogeneous enhancement of the lesions, including heterogeneous uniform-thickness enhancement in two cases, heterogeneous enhancement with a local mass lesion in one case and heterogeneous enhancement with a mass that replaced the gallbladder in one case; in these cases, pathology showed tuberculous granuloma with marked caseation or liquefaction necrosis in three cases and tuberculous granuloma by fi brous and calcifi cations accompanied by caseating necrosis in one case. Among the seven cases of gallbladder TB, six cases were accompanied by abdominal extra-gallbladder TB, including abdominal lymph node TB in fi ve cases and hepatic TB in four cases. Conclusion: Gallbladder TB has various CT manifestations, and the enhanced CT findings are well matched with pathological features. An irregularly thickened gallbladder wall or a gallbladder wall mass with multiple-focus necrosis or calcifi cations accompanied by the typical CT fi ndings of abdominal extra-gallbladder TB should suggest the diagnosis of gallbladder TB.

Abstract

A rod-shaped and Gram-positive anaerobic bacterium, named Niu-O16, which was isolated from bovine rumen contents, was found to be capable of anaerobically converting isoflavones daidzein and genistein to dihydrodaidzein (DHD) and dihydrogenistein (DHG), respectively. The metabolites DHD and DHG were identified using EI-MS and NMR spectrometric analyses. Stereoisomeric metabolites, which were separated on chiral stationary phase HPLC, were formed in equal amounts by the strain Niu-O16. Tautomerization reaction occurred on the B-ring of DHD and DHG seems to be attributed to the equal production of stereoisomeric metabolites. For the synthesis of DHD, the strain Niu-O16 showed an optimal pH range from 6.0 to 7.0 and completely reduced up to 800μM of daidzein to DHD with the initial OD600nm=1.0 and pH 7.0 for 3 days incubation. The strain Niu-O16, showed relatively faster reduction activity toward daidzein to produce DHD than the previously isolated human intestinal bacterium Clostridium sp. HGH6.
