• An Empirical Study of China’s Financial Stock Index Futures Effect on Stock Spot Market Based on CSI 300

Xiongbing Chen,Ning Zhang 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.10 No.11

Finance is the core of modern economy, and the capital market as a part of the whole financial system, it is the key to the development of a country's economy. In this paper, we analyze the impact of stock index futures on the stock market by using CSI 300 index. The result shows that the stock index futures not significant effects on the volatility of spot market; however, there exist a co integration relationship in both long term and short term. Granger causality analysis shows that the stock index future is not Granger cause to CSI 300, while the CSI 300 is Granger cause stock index futures. On this basis, we put forward relevant policy suggestions.

Influence of temperature on the development, reproduction, and life table of Calliptamus italicus (L.) (Orthoptera: Acridoidea)

        Jin-Long Ren,Xiongbing Tu,Jing Ge,Li Zhao,Zehua Zhang 한국응용곤충학회 2016 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.19 No.1

Calliptamus italicus is a migratory species of grasshopper that can cause serious damage to grasslands in Xinjiang, China. In this study,we examined the effects of different temperatures (23, 26, 29, 32, and 35 °C) on the lifecycle and life table parameters. The results showed that temperature strongly influences the growth and development of C. italicus. At temperatures ranging from 23 to 35 °C, the development time was negatively linearly related to temperature (P b 0.01). The time of development from an egg to an adult (pre-oviposition) ranged from86.8 d at 26 °C to 40.6 d at 35 °C, and no oviposition occurred at 23 °C. An average of 687.1 degree-days was required for complete development to occur above the lower threshold temperature (18.3 °C). Egg hatching rates and nymph and pre-adult survival rates were lowest at 23 °C (95.6%, 72.6%, and 0%, respectively) and highest at 32 °C (97.8%, 86.2%, and 88.7%, respectively). The mean total fecundity ranged from 41 eggs/female at 26 °C to 55 eggs/female at 32 °C. The sex ratio (% females) ranged from30 to 52%. The intrinsic rate of population increase (rm) at the different temperatures ranged from 0.0020 to 0.0447 d−1, with the highest value recorded at 32 °C. These results indicate that temperature significantly affects the biology of C. italicus and that the optimal temperature range for its development is 26–32 °C.

A novel method for extracting acoustic nonlinearity parameters with diffraction corrections

정현조,Shuzeng Zhang,Xiongbing Li 대한기계학회 2016 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.30 No.2

A new method for determining the acoustic nonlinearity parameter using a nonlinear data fitting method is proposed. Based on the quasilinear theory of Westervelt’s equation, the fundamental and second harmonic beam fields are expressed as a multi-Gaussian beam model that separates the attenuation and diffraction correction terms from the propagating plane waves. A nonlinear least squares curvefitting method is developed to extract the nonlinearity parameter without knowing the attenuation coefficients of the material being tested. The nonlinearity parameter of water is determined using the proposed method, and the result agrees well with the literature value. The attenuation coefficients of the fundamental and the second harmonic are also extracted and discussed.

Diets structure of a common lizard Eremias argus and their effects on grasshoppers: Implications for a potential biological agent

        Xunbing Huang,Huihui Wu,Xiongbing Tu,Zhuoran Zhang,Hongtian Su,Yongming Shi,Guang-Jun Wang,Guangchun Cao,Xiangqun Nong,Zehua Zhang 한국응용곤충학회 2016 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.19 No.1

Outbreaks of grasshoppers (Orthoptera: Acrididae) often cause serious ecological damage. Recently, there has been interest in using natural enemies of grasshopper for their biological control. This study examined the biology and predation on grasshoppers by Eremias argus, a common lizard in Inner Mongolia. Its developmental duration and life history are consistent with adaptation to grasshopper phenology. The diet structure of E. argus included grasshoppers, beetles, ants, leafhoppers, moths, bees and spiders. A positive correlation between E. argus population numbers and grasshopper population numbers was highly significant. We built models describing the functional response and intraspecific competition for E. argus adults. The functional feeding response of E. argus on grasshopper was classed as Holling type III. The maximum number of grasshoppers consumed by female and male adults were 11.2 and 7.0 individuals per day, respectively. Predatory ability was strongest in female adults, with the second and third instars of Oedaleus asiaticus preferred. The predation ratios(E) of E. argus on grasshoppers declinedwith increasing lizard density, especially for female adult E. argus. E. argus could play an important role in grasshopper control and maintaining a population of E. argus in the grassland ecosystemcould effectively control low-density grasshopper populations on grassland. Suggestions on how E. argus could fit into an IPM programme for biological control of grasshopper are discussed.

Triangulated surface flattening based on the physical shell model

        Bing-yin Shen,Yue Yang,Ran Zheng,Xiongbing Li,Minhan Yi 대한기계학회 2018 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.32 No.5

Triangulated surface flattening plays an important role in the surface shape design of a complex product, such as a vehicle, a train and an air plane. We propose a new method of generating 2D flat patterns from a 3D triangulated surface by the physical shell model to assist in the design of the surface model. The proposed method can be divided into two primary steps: Local and global steps. In the local step, edge based spring stretching and hinge based bending model are constructed and only the local spring stretch element is projected onto the constraint manifold. In the global step, the results of individual projections are combined, and by solving a simplified global matrix, a compromise between all of the individual constraints is obtained, and the global effects are also considered. The result indicates that the proposed method can compute a flattenable mesh surface from complex 3D mesh surfaces successfully and efficiently.

Assessment of Acoustic Nonlinearity Parameters Using an Optimized Data-Fitting Method with Multi-Gaussian Beam Model-Based Diffraction Corrections

        Jeong, Hyunjo,Zhang, Shuzeng,Cho, Sungjong,Li, Xiongbing Taylor Francis 2016 RESEARCH IN NONDESTRUCTIVE EVALUATION Vol.27 No.4

This article presents a novel approach to determine the nonlinearity parameter using an optimized data fitting method. Based on the quasilinear theory of the Khokhlov-Zabolotskaya-Kuznetsov (KZK) equation, the fundamental and second harmonic pressure fields are expressed using multi-Gaussian beam (MGB) models which separate attenuation and diffraction effects from the plane wave solutions. The developed diffraction corrections are used with a curve-fitting method to extract the nonlinearity parameter together with other acoustic parameters including the attenuation coefficients at the fundamental and second harmonic frequencies. The source nonlinearity is also considered in the fitting process. The proposed scheme is validated through experiments in water and shows that a reliable nonlinearity parameter can be acquired within the range of suitable input power that satisfies the quasilinear approximation involved.

Resveratrol suppresses the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition in PC-3 cells by down-regulating the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway

        Zhi Wang,Longxiang Wu,Shiyu Tong,Xiheng Hu,Xiongbing Zu,Yuan Li,Wei He,Longfei Liu,Minfeng Chen,Lin Qi 한국통합생물학회 2016 Animal cells and systems Vol.20 No.2

Resveratrol possesses a wide spectrum of pharmacological properties and has been an ideal alternative drug for the treatment of different cancers, including prostate cancer. However, the mechanisms by which resveratrol inhibits the growth of prostate cancer are still not fully elucidated. To understand the effect of resveratrol on the apoptosis and the epithelial-tomesenchymal transition (EMT) of prostate cancer as well as its related mechanism, we investigated the potential use of resveratrol in PC-3 prostate cancer cells in vitro using real-time PCR, fluorescence-activated cell sorting, Western blotting, etc. Resveratrol suppresses the PC-3 prostate cancer cell growth and induces apoptosis. Resveratrol also influences the expression of EMT-related proteins (increased E-cadherin and decreased Vimentin expression). Finally, resveratrol also suppressed Akt phosphorylation in PC-3 cells. This study indicates that resveratrol may be a potential anti-cancer treatment for prostate cancer; moreover, it provides new evidence that resveratrol suppresses prostate cancer growth and metastasis.

Effects of chlorantraniliprole on detoxification enzymes activities in Locusta migratoria L.

        Guangchun Cao,Miao Jia,Xia Zhao,Lei Wang,Xiongbing Tu,Guangjun Wang,Xiangqun Nong,Zehua Zhang 한국응용곤충학회 2017 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.20 No.3

The broad insecticide chlorantraniliprole causes death by activating the ryanodine receptor, and its effects on detoxification enzymes limit its proper rotation and mixed use with other pesticides. Therefore, we studied the changes in detoxification enzymes activities of Locusta migratoria L. nymphs induced by chlorantraniliprole. When nymphs of locust were treated with chlorantraniliprole only on the first day, the LC50 was 4.8 μg mL−1, and the activities of esterases (ESTs) and glutathione S-transferases (GSTs) increased, but the activity of multifunction oxidases (MFOs) increased only at 3 day after treatment, although the activities fluctuated over 7 days after treatment. When the nymphs of locust were treated for 7 days, the LC50 was 2.3–3.1 μg mL−1, and similarly the activities of ESTs and GSTs increased while that of MFOs decreased significantly in a concentrationdependent manner. Synergism of triphenylphosphate, piperonyl butoxide, and diethyl maleate with chlorantraniliprole toxicity confirmed the correlation between chlorantraniliprole and changes in ESTs, GSTs, and MFOs activities. Herein, we improved the knowledge about the effects of chlorantraniliprole on these detoxification enzymes of L. migratória. These results clarified the effects of chlorantraniliprole on the activities of ESTs, GSTs, and MFOs in L. migratoria, and will provide insight into its proper rotation and mixed use with other pesticides.

      • Optimal aerodynamic design of hypersonic inlets by using streamline-tracing techniques

        Xiong, Bing,Ferlauto, Michele,Fan, Xiaoqiang Techno-Press 2020 Advances in aircraft and spacecraft science Vol.7 No.5

Rectangular-to-Ellipse Shape Transition (REST) inlets are a class of inward turning inlets designed for hypersonic flight. The aerodynamic design of REST inlets involves very complex flows and shock-wave patterns. These inlets are used in highly integrated propulsive systems. Often the design of these inlets may require many geometrical constraints at different cross-section. In present work a design approach for hypersonic inward-turning inlets, adapted for REST inlets, is coupled with a multi-objective optimization procedure. The automated procedure iterates on the parametric representation and on the numerical solution of a base flow from which the REST inlet is generated by using streamline tracing and shape transition algorithms. The typical design problem of optimizing the total pressure recovery and mass flow capture of the inlet is solved by the proposed procedure. The accuracy of the optimal solutions found is discussed and the performances of the designed REST inlets are investigated by means of fully 3-D Euler and 3-D RANS analyses.
