“Shi” is an important concept aesthetically in China classical art theory. The research of “Shi” has made a great progress sincethe 90’ last century. But there are still several questions need to be explained clearly. Essentially “Shi” is the demonstration of nature and moral life-force, and it’s nature of movement comes from that of “Qi”(氣) and “Yin Yang”(陰陽). The discussions about “Shi” in the esthetic fields began from the recognition and understanding of the natural “Di Shi”(地勢) and “Shui Shi”(水勢), instead of from the political power and influence. “Di Shi” and “Shui Shi” originally have the obvious esthetic characters which got enough focus and correspondingly produced lots of concepts in handwriting, drawing and literature fields. “Shi” is internal but not abstract. It is natural and consistent, which were recognized and explained esthetically by artists who thought “Shi” was the imitating patterns of nature. These artists talked about “Shi” by using lively describing words which shows the “imitating” of nature. “Shi” in art works means a type of life-force and fascination of nature. The representing of “Shi” needs “to Reserve Shi”(蓄勢) by “Using Thought”(用意) and “to Take Shi”(取勢) by “Using Pen”(用筆). “To Reserve Shi” aims at forming a tension-force between the opposite sides while “to Take Shi” forming a joint-force, which is the embodying of Chinese saying of “One Yin One Yang is the Dao”(一陰一陽之謂道). In Chinese classical culture, “Shi” is a spirit of never-dying and never-stopping of nature, as well as a never-changeablepursuit, which makes art works vivid and vigorous and gives them a permanent life. This is the essence of “Shi”, also of Chinese cultures and arts.

Developing rice endosperm cells display two morphologically distinct rough endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membranes, the cisternae ER (C-ER) and the protein body ER (PB-ER), the latter delimiting the prolamine protein bodies. We (Li et al., 1993) have recently shown that the storage protein mRNAs are not randomly distributed on these ER types; the C-ER is enriched for glutelin mRNAs, whereas the PB-ER harbors predominantly prolamine transcripts. To address whether these ER types have different capacities to translate these mRNAs and translocate their proteins into the lumen, a microsomal fraction enriched in C-ER vesicles was prepared from developing rice seeds When present in an in vitro translation system, the microsomes were able to proteolytically remove the signal peptide and internalize both preproglutelin and preprolamine within the microsomal vesicles. Of the two species, preprolamine was more effectively translocated and processed. These results suggest that the C-ER has the capacity to recognize and bind both storage protein mRNAs during protein synthesis. Moreover, efficient translocation and processing of glutelin requires additional factors that are deficient or absent in the in vitro system.

A novel optical design for high resolution, large field of view (FOV) and multispectral remote sensingis presented. An f/7.3 Korsch and two f/17.9 Cook three-mirror optical systems are integrated by sharingthe primary and secondary mirrors, bias of the FOV, decentering of the apertures and reasonable structurearrangement. The aperture stop of the Korsch system is located on the primary mirror, while those ofthe Cook systems are on the exit pupils. High resolution image with spectral coverage from visible tonear-infrared (NIR) can be acquired through the Korsch system with a focal length of 14 m, whilewide-field imaging is accomplished by the two Cook systems whose focal lengths are both 13.24 m. The full FOV is 4°×0.13°, a coverage width of 34.9 km at the altitude of 500 km can then be acquiredby push-broom imaging. To facilitate controlling the stray light, the intermediate images and the real exitpupils are spatially available. After optimization, a near diffraction-limited performance and a compactoptical package are achieved. The sharing of the on-axis primary and secondary mirrors reduces the costof fabrication, test, and manufacture effectively. Besides, the two tertiary mirrors of the Cook systemspossess the same parameters, further cutting down the cost.

A Carbon Fiber Composite (CFC) framework was designed for a small lightweight space camera. According to the distribution characteristics of each optical element in the optical system, CFC (M40J)was chosen to accomplish the design of the framework. TC4 embedded parts were used to solve the lowaccuracy of the CFC framework interface problem. An integrated optimization method and the optimizationstrategy which combined a genetic global optimization algorithm with a downhill simplex local optimizationalgorithm were adopted to optimize the structure parameters of the framework. After optimization, thetotal weight of the CFC framework and the TC4 embedded parts is 15.6 kg, accounting for only 18.4%that of the camera. The first order frequency of the camera reaches 104.8 Hz. Finally, a mechanicalenvironment test was performed, and the result demonstrates that the first order frequency of the camerais 102 Hz, which is consistent with the simulation result. It further verifies the rationality and correctnessof the optimization result. The integrated optimization method mentioned in this paper can be applied tothe structure design of other space cameras, which can greatly improve the structure design efficiency.
Integrated Modeling for the Design of Deformable Mirrors Using a Parametric Module Method
Junqing Zhu,Wei Sha,Changzheng Chen,Xingxiang Zhang,Jianyue Ren 한국광학회 2015 Current Optics and Photonics Vol.19 No.5
Active optics is a key technology for future large-aperture space telescopes. In the design of deformablemirrors for space applications, the design parameter trade-off between the number of regularly configuredactuators and the correction capability is essential but rarely analyzed, due to the lack of design legacy. This paper presents a parametric module method for integrated modeling of deformable mirrors withregularly configured actuators. A full design parameter space is explored to evaluate the correctioncapability and the mass of deformable mirrors, using an autoconstructed finite-element parametric modelingmethod that utilizes manual finite-element meshing for complex structures. These results are used to providedesign guidelines for deformable mirrors. The integrated modeling method presented here can be used forfuture applied optics projects
The investigation of pH threshold value on the corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete
Qi Pu,Yan Yao,Ling Wang,Xingxiang Shi,Jingjing Luo,Yifei Xie 사단법인 한국계산역학회 2017 Computers and Concrete, An International Journal Vol.19 No.3
The aim of this study is to investigate the pH threshold value for the corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete. A method was designed to attain the pH value of the pore solution on the location of the steel in concrete. Then the pH values of the pore solution on the location of steel in concrete were changed by exposing the samples to the environment (CO25%, RH 40%) to accelerate carbonation with different periods. Based on this, the pH threshold value for the corrosion of steel reinforcement had been examined by the methods of half-cell potential and electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS). The results have indicated that the pH threshold value for the initial corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete was 11.21. However, in the carbonated concrete, agreement among whether steel corrosion was initiatory determined by the detection methods mentioned above could be found.

Background: Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) poses a salient threat to public health. E3 ubiquitin ligase commonly functions as an anti-tumor role. Objective: This study probed the effect of E3 ligase NEDD4L on A549 cells. Methods: NEDD4L expression in NSCLC and its correlation with NSCLC patient's prognosis were predicted and verified. PD-L1 protein level was measured, and the correlation between NEDD4L and PD-L1 was analyzed. The effects of NEDD4L overexpression on the binding of NEDD4L to PD-L1 and ubiquitination level of PD-L1 were examined. Xenograft tumor model was established in mice. The volume and weight of xenograft tumors were recorded. The proportion of CD8+ T cells and contents of IL-2 and INF-γ were detected. Results: NEDD4L expression was downregulated in NSCLC tissues and A549 cells, and correlated with poor prognosis of NSCLC patients. PD-L1 was upregulated in NSCLC and negatively correlated with NEDD4L. Overexpression of NEDD4L upregulated ubiquitination level of PD-L1 and reduced protein level of PD-L1. Overexpression of NEDD4L decreased tumor volume and weight and enhanced proportion of CD8+ T cells and contents of IL-2 and INF-γ. Conclusions: Collectively, overexpression of NEDD4L suppressed PD-L1 protein level through ubiquitination, thereby enhancing anti-tumor immune response and retarding NSCLC progression.
