In this paper, a multicast network in the presence of an untrusted relay is investigated. A three-phase AF-based cooperative jamming with power allocation is proposed to enhance the system secrecy rate. Based on time division based cooperative multicast (TDCM) protocol, the source uses part of its available power to broadcast pre-defined jamming signals in order to create interference at the untrusted relay, while the relay amplifies the linearly combined two received signals and then re-transmits it to the destination. Optimum power allocation policy involving the allocation between the information and jamming signals at the source and between two combined signal factors at the relay to maximize the achievable worse secrecy rate or sum-rate are derived and analyzed. Numerical results are provided to demonstrate our analytical results and reveal that compared with the two benchmarks schemes, the proposed scheme can obtain significantly higher positive secrecy rate for the same transmit power budget, especially in the case of maximizing secrecy sum-rate.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the informational efficiency of foreign exchange market by analyzing lead-lag relationship between spot and futures. The time series of spot and futures foreign exchange markets of Japanese yen, Euro, Korean won and Mexican peso on a daily basis are used for this analysis. The research employs Bounds test, ARDL model to analyze cointegration relationship and Toda-Yamamoto causality test to detect causality relationship. The empirical tests suggest that there is cointegration relationship between spot and futures markets of each currency market. According to the results of Toda-Yamamoto test, there are interactive causality relationships between spot and futures markets of each currency market. For each currency market, the causality relationship from futures market to spot market is much stronger than the causality relationship from spot market to futures market. This study has originality in employing Bounds test, ARDL model and Toda-Yamamoto test to examine the possible risk transmission between spot and futures markets. In addition, a guide on how Bounds test and ARDL model can be applied to detect interactions among markets without data stationarity has been presented.

Gibberellins (GAs) are endogenous hormones that play an important role in regulating plant stature by increasing cell division and promoting seed germination. The GA2-oxidase gene from Arabidopsis thaliana (AtGA2ox8) was introduced into Brassica napus L. by Agrobacterium-mediated floral-dip transformation with the aim of decreasing the amount of bioactive GA and hence reduced the plant height. As anticipated, the transgenic plant exhibited dwarf phenotype. Importantly, compared with the wild type, the transgenic plants had delayed the seed germination, increased the chlorophyll content (28.7–36.3%) and photosynthesis capacity (14.3–18.7%) in a single leaf. At the same time, the photosynthesis capacity of the whole plants was significantly enhanced (35.7–48.6%) due to the extra leaves and branches.
