Perceptual Fusion of Infrared and Visible Image through Variational Multiscale with Guide Filtering

Xin Feng,Kaiqun Hu 한국정보처리학회 2019 Journal of information processing systems Vol.15 No.6

To solve the problem of poor noise suppression capability and frequent loss of edge contour and detailedinformation in current fusion methods, an infrared and visible light image fusion method based on variationalmultiscale decomposition is proposed. Firstly, the fused images are separately processed through variationalmultiscale decomposition to obtain texture components and structural components. The method of guidedfilter is used to carry out the fusion of the texture components of the fused image. In the structural componentfusion, a method is proposed to measure the fused weights with phase consistency, sharpness, and brightnesscomprehensive information. Finally, the texture components of the two images are fused. The structurecomponents are added to obtain the final fused image. The experimental results show that the proposed methoddisplays very good noise robustness, and it also helps realize better fusion quality.

Infrared and Visible Image Fusion Based on NSCT and Deep Learning

Xin Feng 한국정보처리학회 2018 Journal of information processing systems Vol.14 No.6

An image fusion method is proposed on the basis of depth model segmentation to overcome theshortcomings of noise interference and artifacts caused by infrared and visible image fusion. Firstly, the deepBoltzmann machine is used to perform the priori learning of infrared and visible target and backgroundcontour, and the depth segmentation model of the contour is constructed. The Split Bregman iterativealgorithm is employed to gain the optimal energy segmentation of infrared and visible image contours. Then, the nonsubsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) transform is taken to decompose the source image, and thecorresponding rules are used to integrate the coefficients in the light of the segmented background contour. Finally, the NSCT inverse transform is used to reconstruct the fused image. The simulation results ofMATLAB indicates that the proposed algorithm can obtain the fusion result of both target and backgroundcontours effectively, with a high contrast and noise suppression in subjective evaluation as well as great meritsin objective quantitative indicators.

Caveolin-1 is involved in high glucose accelerated human glomerular mesangial cell senescence

( Xin Feng ),( Wei Gao ),( Yao Li ) 대한내과학회 2017 The Korean Journal of Internal Medicine Vol.32 No.5

Background/Aims: We demonstrated the role of caveolin-1 involved in high glu-cose (HG)-induced glomerular mesangial cells (GMCs) senescence. Methods: HG was used to stimulate GMCs. The telomere lengths were analyzed by Southern blot. β-Galactosidase staining was determined. The expressions of caveolin-1 and P53 proteins were determined by Western blot. Results: Treatment with high concentrations of glucose induced GMC senescence accompanied by shortened telomere length and increase of β-galactosidase stain-ing as well as P53 protein, which was abrogated after application of caveolin-1- siRNA. Conclusions: This study proved that HG induced cell senescence in GMCs. The caveolin-1 is involved in HG-induced mesangial cell senescence, and blocking ca-veolin-1 significantly reduced cell senescence. The effect of caveolin-1 is mediated by P53 pathway.

      • Experimental study on the effect of EC-TMD on the vibration control of plant structure of PSPPs

Xin Feng,Tengfei Zhong,Yu Zhang,Jing Zhou 국제구조공학회 2022 Smart Structures and Systems, An International Jou Vol.29 No.3

A high-frequency vibration control method is proposed in this paper for Pumped Storage Power Plants (PSPPs) using Eddy Current Tuned Mass Damper (EC-TMD), based on which a new type of EC-TMD device is designed. The eddy current damper parameters are optimized by numerical simulation. On this basis, physical simulation model tests are conducted to compare and study the effect of structural performance with and without damping, different control strategies, and different arrangement positions of TMD. The test results show that EC-TMD can effectively reduce the control effect under high-frequency vibration of the plant structure, and after the additional damping device forms EC-TMD, the energy dissipation is further realized due to the intervention of eddy current damping, and the control effect is subsequently improved. The Multi-Tuned Mass Damper (MTMD) control strategy broadens the tuning band to improve the robustness of the system, and the vibration advantage is more obvious. Also, some suggestions are made for the placement of the dampers to promote their application.

        Xinfeng Zhang,Phuong Thien Thuong,WenYi Jin,Nguyen Duy Su,석대은,배기환,강삼식 대한약학회 2005 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.28 No.1

Bioassay-guided fractionation of methanol extract of Reynoutria sachalinensis flower using DPPH assay has led to the isolation of three anthraquinones and three flavonoids. Their structures were identified as emodin (1), emodin-8-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2), physcion-8-O-β-Dglucopyranoside (3), quercetin-3-O-α-L-arabinofuranoside (4), quercetin-3-O-β-D-galactopyranoside (5), and quercetin-3-O-β-D- glucuronopyranoside (6) by comparing their physicochemical and spectral data with those published in literatures. All isolated compounds were evaluated for antioxidant activities with free radical 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) scavenging, superoxide radical scavenging and Cu2+-mediated low density lipoprotein (LDL) oxidation assay. The results demonstrated that three flavonoids, 4, 5, and 6 had remarkable antioxidant activities with the IC50 values of 64.3, 54.7, and 46.2 µM (DPPH scavenging), the IC50 values of 6.0, 6.7, and 4.4 µM (superoxide radical scavenging) and the IC50 values of 3.8, 3.2, and 5.4 µM against LDL oxidation, respectively.

Preparation and Investigation of Epoxy Syntactic Foam (Epoxy/Graphite Reinforced Hollow Epoxy Macrosphere/Hollow Glass Microsphere Composite)

        Xinfeng Wu,Bo Tang,Jinhong Yu,Xiao Cao,Chongyin Zhang,Yonggen Lv 한국섬유공학회 2018 Fibers and polymers Vol.19 No.1

Graphite reinforced hollow epoxy macrospheres (GR-HEMS) and hollow glass microspheres (HGMS) were used to prepare three phase epoxy syntactic foam (ESF) using “molding method”, and the physical and mechanical properties of ESF were also studied and investigated. An innovative “rolling ball method” was implemented in the GR-HEMS preparationprocess. The performance tests show that higher GR-HEMS stacking volume fraction, lower GR-HEMS thickness, higher GR-HEMS diameter, higher HGMS volume fraction, lower HGMS density are beneficial to reducing the density of ESF, but the effects of the five factors on the strength of ESF are the opposite. Therefore, in order to obtain “high strength and low density” ESF composites, the various factors should be considered to achieve a balance of the strength and the density. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) shows that the “rolling ball method” can make graphite form a graphite spherical x-y network throughout the macrosphere wall, which can make GR-HEMS and ESF have great compressive strength. The ESF (450 kg/m3, 20.75 MPa) can withstand the 2075 meters water pressure and provide 550 kg/m3 buoyancy, which can givesome advice to the preparation of buoyancy material used in deepwater oil exploration.

Preparation and Properties Characterization of Interpenetrating Polymer Networks/Organically Modified Montmorillonite/Scrap Leather Fibers Composites

        Xinfeng Wu,Zehui Duan,Ying Wang,Yuan Gao,Kai Sun,Runhua Fan,Xiaofeng Li 한국섬유공학회 2019 Fibers and polymers Vol.20 No.9

An interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) based on the anhydride-cured cycloaliphatic epoxy and the trifunctionalacrylate resin cross-linked by peroxide was modified by incorporation of organic montmorillonites (OMMTs) andscrap leather fibers (SLFs). OMMTs and SLFs were introduced into IPNs via a violently mechanical stirring technique whichprovided a very well-dispersed phase of OMMTs and SLFs in matrix. Non-isothermal curing behaviors of IPNs/OMMTs/SLFs composites were investigated by means of the differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The results of DSC testsshowed that the introduction of OMMTs and SLFs into IPNs accelerated the curing reaction of epoxy systems. In comparisonwith the case of the pristine IPNs, the thermal stability properties, the glass transition temperature, mechanical properties ofIPNs/OMMTs/SLFs composites were markedly enhanced. A desirable toughening-strengthening balance of the compositeshad been obtained at 5 pbw(parts by weight) of OMMTs and 0.5 pbw of SLFs. Significant improvements in performances ofIPNs/OMMTs/SLFs composites obtained through the addition of OMMTs and SLFs in IPNs matrix were associated withtheir good co-reinforcement and co-dispersion effects. The macroscopic properties of the composites were found to bestrongly dependent on their concentrations, components, dispersion, and the resulted morphological structures.

Vibration behaviors of a damaged bridge under moving vehicular loads

Xinfeng Yin,Yang Liu,Bo Kong 국제구조공학회 2016 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.58 No.2

A large number of bridges were built several decades ago, and most of which have gradually suffered serious deteriorations or damage due to the increasing traffic loads, environmental effects, and inadequate maintenance. However, very few studies were conducted to investigate the vibration behaviors of a damaged bridge under moving vehicles. In this paper, the vibration behaviors of such vehicle-bridge system are investigated in details, in which the effects of the concrete cracks and bridge surface roughness are particularly considered. Specifically, two vehicle models are introduced, i.e., a simplified four degree-of-freedoms (DOFs) vehicle model and a more complex seven DOFs vehicle model, respectively. The bridges are modeled in two types, including a single-span uniform beam and a full scale reinforced concrete high-pier bridge, respectively. The crack zone in the reinforced concrete bridge is considered by a damage function. The bridge and vehicle coupled equations are established by combining the equations of motion of both the bridge and vehicles using the displacement relationship and interaction force relationship at the contact points between the tires and bridge. The numerical simulations and verifications show that the proposed modeling method can rationally simulate the vibration behaviors of the damaged bridge under moving vehicles; the effect of cracks on the impact factors is very small and can be neglected for the bridge with none roughness, however, the effect of cracks on the impact factors is very significant and cannot be neglected for the bridge with roughness.

Anti-inflammatory Activity of Flavonoids from Populus davidiana

        XinFeng Zhang,배기환,Tran Manh Hung,Phuong Thien Phuong,Tran Minh Ngoc,민병선,송경식,성연희 대한약학회 2006 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.29 No.12

An in vitro bioassay-guide revealed that the methanol (MeOH) extract of the stem bark of Populus davidiana showed considerable inhibitory activity against cyclooxygenase (COX-1, COX- 2). Continuous phytochemical study of the MeOH extract of this plant led to the isolation of ten flavonoids; sakuranetin (1), rhamnocitrin (2), 7-O-methylaromadendrin (3), naringenin (4), eriodictyol (5), aromadendrin (6), kaempferol (7), neosakuranin (8), sakuranin (9) and sakurenetin- 5,4'-di-β-D-glucopyranoside (10). Their structures were identified on the basis of their physicochemical and spectroscopic analyses. The isolated compounds, 1-10, were tested for their inhibitory activities against COX-1 and COX-2. Compound 7 was found to have potent inhibitory effect on COX-1 and a moderate effect on COX-2, meanwhile, compounds 1-6 showed moderate inhibition against COX-1 only. Moreover, compounds 5–8 exhibited suppressive effects on xanthine oxidase (XO). These results may explain, in part, the traditional uses of P. davidiana in ethnomedicine.
