INSTITUTIONAL REFORMS AND SPATIAL EVOLUTION OF THE BANKING SYSTEM IN HENAN, CHINA SINCE 1978
XIAOJIAN LI,ZHOU XIONGFEI 서울대학교 사회발전연구소 2008 Journal of Asian Sociology Vol.37 No.1
Recent rapid institutional reforms in the financial sector and fast economic growth make China a special case for studying the spatial evolution of banking system in the particular circumstances. Drawing on data from China’"s four big state-owned banks in the nation’"s largest less-developed, yet rapidly growing interior province of Henan, this paper reveals that the spatial evolution of the regional banking system did not follow the “stages of banking development” theory developed in the literature. The regional banking system started from a fairly even spread of national bank branches and moved towards a geographical concentration in the urban centers. Institutional reforms, particularly government deregulation and bank re-organization played a crucial role in driving the changes. Along with diminishing government controls, spatial economic difference directly determined the locations of bank branches. This was proved at high significance levels in the pooled OLS and Fixed Effect regression models. The questionnaire interviews with 58 bank branches further supported the findings. We argue that the different banking practices in the specific institutional background of China may extend the “"stages of banking development”" theory based on evidence from the Western economies.

The aim of this study was to investigate the microbial community of three tannery wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) involved in nitrification by Illumina MiSeq sequencing. The results showed that highly diverse communities were present in tannery wastewater. A total of six phyla, including Proteobacteria (37-41%), Bacteroidetes (6.04-16.80), Planctomycetes (3.65- 16.55), Chloroflexi (2.51-11.48), Actinobacteria (1.91-9.21), and Acidobacteria (3.04-6.20), were identified as the main phyla, and Proteobacteria dominated in all the samples. Within Proteobacteria, Beta-proteobacteria was the most abundant class, with the sequence percentages ranging from 9.66% to 17.44%. Analysis of the community at the genus level suggested that Thauera, Gp4, Ignavibacterium, Phycisphaera, and Arenimonas were the core genera shared by at least two tannery WWTPs. A detailed analysis of the abundance of ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB) and nitrite-oxidizing bacteria (NOB) indicated that Nitrosospira, Nitrosomonas, and Nitrospira were the main AOB and NOB in tannery wastewater, respectively, which exhibited relatively high abundance in all samples. In addition, real-time quantitative PCR was conducted to validate the results by quantifying the abundance of the AOB and total bacteria, and similar results were obtained. Overall, the results presented in this study may provide new insights into our understanding of key microorganisms and the entire community of tannery wastewater and contribute to improving the nitrogen removal efficiency.

We investigate the chaotic behavior of a circular test string in the Lifshitz spacetimes by considering the critical exponent z as an external control parameter. We demonstrate that two primary tools to observe chaos in this system are the Poincar´e section and the Lyapunov exponent. Finally, the numerical result shows that if z = 1, the string dynamics is regular while in a case slightly larger than z = 1, the dynamics can be irregular and chaotic, which implies that the space time anisotropy, which breaks Lorentz symmetry, may cause the system to be chaotic.
A Decentralized and Non-reversible Traceability System for Storing Commodity Data
( Xiaojian He ),( Ximeng Chen ),( Kangzi Li ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2019 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.13 No.2
In the field of traceability systems, researchers focus on applications in the agricultural food traceability and scanning commodities. The purposes of this paper, however, is to propose an efficient and reliable traceability system that can be applied to all kinds of commodities. Currently, most traceability systems store data in a central server, which is unreliable when the system is under attack or if the administrator tampers with the data for personal interests. Therefore, it is necessary to design a system that can eliminate these threats. In this paper, we propose a decentralized and non-reversible traceability system for storing commodity data. This system depends on blockchain technology, which organizes data in the form of chains without a central server. This chain-style storage mechanism can prevent malicious modifications. In addition, some strategies are adopted to reduce the storage pressure and response time when the system has stored all kinds of commodity data.
High precision integration for dynamic structural systems with holonomic constraints
Liu, Xiaojian,Begg, D.W.,Devane, M.A.,Zhong, Wanxie Techno-Press 1997 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.5 No.3
This paper presents a high precision integration method for the dynamic response analysis of structures with holonomic constraints. A detail recursive scheme suitable for algebraic and differential equations (ADEs) which incorporates generalized forces is established. The matrix exponential involved in the scheme is calculated precisely using $2^N$ algorithm. The Taylor expansions of the nonlinear term concerned with state variables of the structure and the generalized constraint forces of the ADEs are derived and consequently, their particular integrals are obtained. The accuracy and effectiveness of the present method is demonstrated by two numerical examples, a plane truss with circular slot at its tip point and a slewing flexible cantilever beam which is currently interesting in optimal control of robot manipulators.

China is one of the original parties to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG), which was passed in Vienna on April 11, 1980 and came into effect on January 1, 1988. China signed the CISG on September 30, 1981, ratified and deposited the ratification document on December 11, 1986. In ratifying the CISG, Chinese government declared reservation to the Article 1(1)(b) and Article 11.
