Variable Winding Analysis and Optimization of Dual-mode Starter-Generator for Micro HEV Applications
Xiao Dong,Shi Liwei,An Junhao,Xing Fuzhen 전력전자학회 2019 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2019 No.5
To satisfy the requirement of high torque in starting state and accurate voltage regulation in generating state, a Dual-Mode Starter Generator (DMSG) with variable winding is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the influence of winding parameters on the performance of DMSG is analyzed by establishing the mathematical model of equivalent turns. Next, the cause of circulating current in starting state is analyzed. In order to solve the problem of circulating current between parallel branches, this paper presents a method that adding directional diode in main power circuit. The correctness of this method is verified by simulation. Then, the optimal matching relationship between the field winding and armature winding with multi-objective optimization is determined. At last, the FEA and prototype experiments verify the feasibility and performance of starter mode and generator mode of the DMSG.

Xiaodong Liu,Zhengying Wen,Miao Wang 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.8 No.6
Since multiple VMs share the same network interface card (NIC). The I/O operation of one virtual machine is affected by others. The quality of service (QoS) of the network is hardly guaranteed. This paper presents a queuing based I/O scheduling for big data processing via the cloud, an efficient scheduling strategy with quality of service (QoS) guarantee. Our proposed scheme uses a queuing system to control the I/O bandwidth and provide QoS guarantee for each application. The proposed techniques are implemented on the xen virtual machine monitor (VMM) and evaluated with micro-benchmarks on Linux operation system.

Xiaodong Shi,Junqi Niu,Xiumei Chi,Yu Pan,Yanhang Gao,Wanyu Li,Chen Yang,Jin Zhong,Damo Xu,Manna Zhang,Gerald Minuk,Jing Jiang 연세대학교의과대학 2015 Yonsei medical journal Vol.56 No.3
Purpose: The role of IL28B gene variants and expression in hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections are not well understood. Here, we evaluated whether IL28B gene expression and rs12979860 variations are associated with HBV outcomes. Materialsand Methods: IL28B genetic variations (rs12979860) were genotyped by pyrosequencingof DNA samples from 137 individuals with chronic HBV infection [50 inactive carriers (IC), 34 chronic hepatitis B (CHB), 27 cirrhosis, 26 hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)], and 19 healthy controls. IL28A/B mRNA expression in peripheralblood mononuclear cells was determined by qRT-PCR, and serum IL28B proteinwas measured by ELISA. Results: Patients with IL28B C/C genotype had greater IL28A/B mRNA expression and higher IL28B protein levels than C/T patients. Within the various disease stages, compared to IC and healthy controls, IL28B expression was reduced in the CHB, cirrhosis, and HCC cohorts (CHB vs. IC, p=0.02; cirrhosis vs. IC, p=0.01; HCC vs. IC, p=0.001; CHB vs. controls, p<0.01; cirrhosis vs. controls, p<0.01; HCC vs. controls, p<0.01). When stratified with respect to serum HBV markers in the IC and CHB cohorts, IL28B mRNA and protein levels were higher in HBeAg-positive than negative individuals (p=0.01). Logistic regression analysis revealed that factors associated with high IL28B proteinlevels were C/C versus C/T genotype [p=0.016, odds ratio (OR)=0.25, 95% confidence interval (CI)=0.08‒0.78], high alanine aminotransferase values (p<0.001, OR=8.02, 95% CI=2.64‒24.4), and the IC stage of HBV infection (p<0.001). Conclusion: Our data suggest that IL28B genetic variations may play an important role in long-term development of disease in chronic HBV infections.
Stereo Video Transmission Distortion Derived Algorithm Based On Data Partitioning In H.264/AVC
Xiaodong Wang,Jiao Ke,Hanzhang Wang,Lianjun Zhang 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.8
H.264/AVC coding standard slices the encoded Data using the Data Partitioning (DP) based on syntax priority to improve the error resistance for H.264 bit stream. According to this feature, considering the temporal and spatial correlation in stereoscopic video, network performance and terminal error concealment technology. A derived algorithm for determining the transmission distortion based on different DP parts in a Group-of-Pictures (GoP) is proposed. The algorithm takes both the distortion introduced by error diffusion and error concealment into account, which can be estimated by the stereo video quality at encode side under the condition of the specific network. Experimental results show that the algorithm used to calculate the distortion basically coincided with simulation results, and the algorithm can be applied to different sequences with various movement characteristics.
A Genetic Approach for Joint Link Scheduling and Power Control in SIC-enable Wireless Networks
( Xiaodong Wang ),( Hu Shen ),( Shaohe Lv ),( Xingming Zhou ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2016 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.10 No.4
Successive interference cancellation (SIC) is an effective means of multi-packet reception to combat interference at the physical layer. We investigate the joint optimization issue of channel access and power control for capacity maximization in SIC-enabled wireless networks. We propose a new interference model to characterize the sequential detection nature of SIC. Afterward, we formulize the joint optimization problem, prove it to be a nondeterministic polynomial-time-hard problem, and propose a novel approximation approach based on the genetic algorithm (GA). Finally, we discuss the design and parameter setting of the GA approach and validate its performance through extensive simulations.

Since its introduction as an alternative intestinal microbiota alteration approach, fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) has been increasingly used as a treatment of choice for patients with ulcerative colitis (UC), but no reports exist regarding FMT via percutaneous endoscopic cecostomy (PEC). This report describes the case of a 24-year-old man with a 7-year history of recurrent, steroid-dependent UC. He received FMT via PEC once per day for 1 month in the hospital. After the remission of gastrointestinal symptoms, he was discharged from the hospital and continued FMT via PEC twice per week for 3 months at home. The frequency of stools decreased, and the characteristics of stools improved soon thereafter. Enteral nutrition was regained after 1 week, and an oral diet was begun 1 month later. Two months after the FMT end point, the patient resumed a normal diet, with formed soft stools once per day. The follow-up colonoscopy showed normal mucus membranes; then, the PEC set was removed. On the subsequent 12 months follow-up, the patient resumed orthobiosis without any gastrointestinal discomfort and returned to work. This case emphasizes that FMT via PEC can not only induce remission but also shorten the duration of hospitalization and reduce the medical costs; therefore, this approach should be considered an alternative option for patients with UC. The biomass and carbon (C) storage of the main ecosystem components were examined in an age-sequence of six Japanese red pine forest stands in central Korea. The tree biomass was determined by the destructive method, and the C storage of the tree biomass, forest floor and mineral soil was estimated by analyzing the C concentration of each component. The above-ground and total tree biomass increased from 21.76 and 28.82Mgha 1 in the 17-year-old stand to 308.83 and 385.74Mgha 1 in the 73-year-old stand. The comparisons of above-ground tree and tree root biomass in replicate stands indicated that stand density has an effect on tree biomass partitioning for Japanese red pine, especially on the biomass allocation of above-ground tree and tree roots. The C concentrations were lowest in the tree roots while the highest concentrations were found in the foliage across the six Japanese red pine forest stands. The C storage in the forest floor and mineral soil were age-independent. The above-ground and total ecosystem C stocks increased from 19.40 and 43.49Mgha 1 in the 17-year-old stand to 162.72 and 247.39Mgha 1 in the 73-year-old stand. Although the total tree biomass C showed considerable accumulation with stand age, the relative contribution of the below-ground ecosystem to the total ecosystem C storage demonstrated large variation. The results of this study assist in understanding C storage and its change with stand development in Japanese red pine forests, which makes this species a large sink for atmospheric C at the regional scale.
A New Special Biometric Identity Based Signature Scheme
Xiaodong Liu,Quan Miao,Daxing Li 보안공학연구지원센터 2008 International Journal of Security and Its Applicat Vol.2 No.1
We propose a new special identity based signature scheme that make uses of fractal transform and entropy arrangement algorithm to generate the public key string from a biometric measurement of signer. A biometric reading provided by the alleged signer would be enough to verify the signature. The characteristic of this scheme is that When verifier finished the verification on the signature, he can compare the biometric information reconstructed by public key with that provided by signer to ensure the relationship between the public key and signer. So, this makes the verification more convenient and intuitionistic. Finally, we describe two possible attacks on this system and suggest ways to combat it.
