      • An Analysis of Shanghai's Image Perception as a Tourism Destination of South Korean Tourist

        관광목적지 이미지는 관광객들의 관광목적지 선택의 의사결정 과정에서 고려하는 중요한 요 인이다. 따라서 긍정적인 관광객의 관광목적지 이미지 확립은 관광목적지의 관광마케팅에서 관광매력성을 크게 증가시킬 수 있다. 2005년 이래로 중국에 입국하는 한국 관광객들이 꾸준 하게 증가하여 주요 방문국 중의 하나가 되었다. 2011년에는 중국 방문 한국 관광객 수는 4,185,400명을 기록함으로서 지금까지 최고를 기록하였다. 중국에서 가장 크고 번화한 항구도 시인 상하이에 한국 관광객들은 최대 관광국 3국 중 하나를 구성하고 있다. 한국 관광객들이 가져올 수 있는 잠재력이 크기 때문에 그들이 상하이에 관한 도시 이미지에 대해 어떻게 지각 하고 있는가를 연구하는 것은 중요하다고 하겠다. 본 연구는 연구대상으로 한국 관광객을 대 상으로 하여 확률표본추출방식과 실증연구조사기법을 사용한 결과 첫째, 한국 방문객들의 사 회 인구통계학 변수들은 부분적으로 그들이 지각하는 상하이의 이미지에 영향을 미치는 것으 로 나타났으며, 둘째, 그들이 지각하는 상하이의 이미지는 그들의 전반적인 만족도에 부분적으 로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 한국 방문객들의 상하이에 대한 전반적인 만족도에 영향을 미치는 이미지 각 속성들이 평가되었으며, 미래의 마케팅 전략이 논의되었다. The research objectives of this study are firstly, to test whether visit times, traveling method, travel purpose, stay period, information sources, will significantly affect South Korean tourists’ image about Shanghai and secondly, to test whether gender, age, marital status, education level, income, occupation, will significantly affect South Korean tourists’ image about Shanghai and thirdly to test whether the factors of Shanghai’s city image will significantly affect the overall satisfaction of tourist visiting Shanghai. This research shows firstly that Shanghai is a destination for South Korean tourists to enjoy their leisure activities. Therefore, in order to attract more South Korean tourists, it is necessary to propagate Shanghai’s destination image through the travel agency. Secondly, Shanghai should focus on women around 40 to 50 years old and establishing a positive culture metropolis image could attract these kinds of consumers’ interesting. Thirdly, culture attributes of Shanghai’s destination image have the most influential effects on satisfaction and facilities environment attributes and the leisure attributes rank second and third. If managers could set a marketing strategy at the core of these attributes, it is beneficial to improve the tourist destination image of Shanghai.

      • Experimental Study on Spray Characteristics of The Internal Impinging Nozzle

        The internal impinging nozzle with a bluff body set inside can form a periodic oscillating spray, which is a novel approach of atomization. In this paper, the flow distribution characteristics of the spray are studied with low-pressure water as the medium. Meanwhile, the characteristics of spray cone angle, oscillating frequency, spatial distribution of droplet velocity and particle size are also studied with high-speed Schllieren technique and Malwen particle size analyzer. The results demonstrate that with the increase of the injection pressure, the spray cone angle is almost constant, while the spray oscillating frequency increases gradually, which is tantamount to the variation trend of axial velocity and radial velocity of the droplet. When the injection pressure is elevated from 0.16MPa to 0.18MPa, at the same position, the increase of droplet axial velocity distinctly reaches a maximum. Furthermore, with the development of the spray, the particle size decreases accordingly, and the velocity of the well atomized area near the spray symmetrical center axis is also gradually reduced. The farther away from the nozzle outlet, the more pronounced the symmetry of the spatial distribution of the axial velocity and radial velocity becomes. Moreover, when the injection pressure reaches 0.16MPa, at the position 250mm away from the outlet, the particle size achieves a minimum, and the spray obtains a stable distribution, which is rarefied and uniform in the middle area, while generous on both sides. With the injection pressure increasing to 0.18MPa, the flow of the well atomized area near the spray symmetrical center axis reaches its maximum, and that of the area farthest away from the symmetry center is also raised by degrees as the injection pressure increases.

        Artificial Intelligence in the Prediction of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors on Endoscopic Ultrasonography Images: Development, Validation and Comparison with Endosonographers

        Background/Aims: The accuracy of endosonographers in diagnosing gastric subepithelial lesions (SELs) using endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) is influenced by experience and subjectivity. Artificial intelligence (AI) has achieved remarkable development in this field. This study aimed to develop an AI-based EUS diagnostic model for the diagnosis of SELs, and evaluated its efficacy with external validation. Methods: We developed the EUS-AI model with ResNeSt50 using EUS images from two hospitals to predict the histopathology of the gastric SELs originating from muscularis propria. The diagnostic performance of the model was also validated using EUS images obtained from four other hospitals. Results: A total of 2,057 images from 367 patients (375 SELs) were chosen to build the models, and 914 images from 106 patients (108 SELs) were chosen for external validation. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, and accuracy of the model for differentiating gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) and non-GISTs in the external validation sets by images were 82.01%, 68.22%, 86.77%, 59.86%, and 78.12%, respectively. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, and accuracy in the external validation set by tumors were 83.75%, 71.43%, 89.33%, 60.61%, and 80.56%, respectively. The EUS-AI model showed better performance (especially specificity) than some endosonographers. The model helped improve the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of certain endosonographers. Conclusions: We developed an EUS-AI model to classify gastric SELs originating from muscularis propria into GISTs and non-GISTs with good accuracy. The model may help improve the diagnostic performance of endosonographers. Further work is required to develop a multi-modal EUS-AI system.

        Enhanced photocatalytic activity on elemental mercury over pink BiOIO3 nanosheets with abundant oxygen vacancies

        Elemental mercury removal in coal-fired power plants is the key to global mercury pollution control, and photocatalytic oxidation is an effective and stable method. As a typical bismuth-based photocatalyst, BiOIO3 has a large band gap which is not conducive to the absorption and utilization of visible light, and its specific surface area also limits the diffusion and adsorption of reactants. In this work, pink BiOIO3 (PB) was first prepared successfully via vacuum calcination under absolute pressure of 1*103 Pa. The specific surface area of pink BiOIO3 is significantly increased to 44.52m2/g, which is 1.5-times compared with the traditional BiOIO3 prepared by hydrothermal method (only 29.60 m2/g). Abundant oxygen vacancy defects exist on sample surface, and the formed local BiOI Zero-dimensional (0-D) nanodots provide heterojunction-like effect combined with the BiOIO3, obtaining better photocatalytic property in the oxidation of elemental mercury. The as-prepared pink BiOIO3 and the preparation technology also have strong application potential in the field of energy and environment.

        Effects of feeding different levels of dietary corn silage on growth performance, rumen fermentation and bacterial community of post-weaning dairy calves

        Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the growth performance, rumen fermentation parameters and bacterial community of post-weaning dairy calves in response to five diets varying in corn silage (CS) inclusion.Methods: A total of forty Holstein weaned bull calves (80±3 days of age;128.2±5.03 kg at study initiation) were randomized into five groups (8 calves/group) with each receiving one of five dietary treatments offered as total mixed ration in a 123-d feeding study. Dietary treatments were control diet (CON; 0% CS dry matter [DM]); Treatment 1 (T1; 27.2% CS DM); Treatment 2 (T2; 46.5% CS DM); Treatment 3 (T3; 54.8% CS DM); and Treatment 4 (T4; 67.2% CS DM) with all diets balanced for similar protein and energy concentration.Results: Results showed that calves offered CS had greater average daily gain, body length and chest depth growth, meanwhile altered rumen fermentation indicated by decreased rumen acetate concentrations. Principal coordinate analysis showed the rumen bacterial community structure was affected by varying CS inclusion diets. <i>Bacteroidetes</i> and <i>Firmicutes</i> were the predominant bacterial phyla in the calf rumens across all treatments. At the genus level, the abundance of <i>Bacteroidales_RF16_group</i> was increased, whereas <i>Unclassified_ Lachnospiraceae</i> was decreased for calves fed CS. Furthermore, Spearman’s correlation test between the rumen bacteria and rumen fermentation parameters indicated that <i>Bacteroidales_RF16_group</i> and <i>Unclassified Lachnospiraceae</i> were positively correlated with propionate and acetate, respectively.Conclusion: The results of the current study suggested that diet CS inclusion was beneficial for post-weaning dairy calf growth, with 27.2% to 46.5% CS of diet DM recommended to achieve improved growth performance. <i>Bacteroidales_RF16_group</i> and <i>Unclassified Lachnospiraceae</i> play an important role in the rumen fermentation pattern for post-weaning calves fed CS.

        Role of Preoperative Albumin Quotient in Surgical Planning for Posttraumatic Syringomyelia: A Comparative Cohort Study

        Objective: Surgical procedures for patients with posttraumatic syringomyelia (PTS) remain controversial. Until now, there have been no effective quantitative evaluation methods to assist in selecting appropriate surgical plans before surgery. Methods: We consecutively enrolled PTS patients (arachnoid lysis group, n = 42; shunting group, n = 14) from 2003 to 2023. Additionally, 19 intrathecal anesthesia patients were included in the control group. All patients with PTS underwent physical and neurological examinations and spinal magnetic resonance imaging preoperatively, 3–12 months postoperatively and during the last follow-up. Preoperative lumbar puncture was performed and blood-spinal cord barrier disruption was detected by quotient of albumin (Qalb, cerebrospinal fluid/serum). Results: The ages (p = 0.324) and sex (p = 0.065) of the PTS and control groups did not differ significantly. There were also no significant differences in age (p = 0.216), routine blood data and prognosis (p = 0.399) between the arachnoid lysis and shunting groups. But the QAlb level of PTS patients was significantly higher than that of the control group (p < 0.001), and the shunting group had a significantly higher QAlb (p < 0.001) than the arachnoid lysis group. A high preoperative QAlb (odds ratio, 1.091; 95% confidence interval, 1.004–1.187; p = 0.041) was identified as the predictive factor for the shunting procedure, with the receiver operating characteristic curve showing 100% specificity and 80.95% sensitivity for patients with a QAlb > 12.67. Conclusion: Preoperative QAlb is a significant predictive factor for the types of surgery. For PTS patients with a QAlb > 12.67, shunting represents the final recourse, necessitating the exploration and development of novel treatments for these patients.
