        Apparent CP Deletion and DP Relatedness

        Sohn, Keun-Won, 2012, Apparent CP Deletion and LW Relatedness, Linguistic Research 29(1), 107-126. This paper deals with the apparent CP deletion phenomena in Korean discussed in Ahn & Cho (2009) first. Ahn & Cho claim that CP deletion is not allowed in Korean and the cases which seem to involve CP deletion are not really CP deletion constructions, but involve invisible pronoun pro. Although sharing the same view regarding the non-existence of real CP deletion, this paper deduces a different generalization from Ahn & Cho. According to Ahn & Cho, pro is allowed only when oven pronoun ku kes is allowed, regardless of whether there is a clausal DP counterpart of the apparently deleted CP or not. But this paper claims that there is a perfect parallelism between the occurrence of pro and the comparable clausal DP counterpart of the CP complement, This paper also provides an alternative analysis for the NP1 containing CP deletion cases, showing that deletion is possible in these cases only when the NPI and its licenser are both included in the deletion (or replacement) site.

      • TRIGA Mark-Ⅱ 原子爐의 爐雜音 解析

        For the purpose of measurement of reactor kinetic paramter, rossi-α experiment In TRIGA Mark-Ⅱ reactor are performed. The past neutron noise measurement which is using HARDWARE have had defects of inaccuracy. In this study, I developed SOFTWARE to betterment of these defects and using it investigated α which is reciprocal of prompt period. To collect neutron pulses, developed data acquisition system using 16 bit personal computer (IBM-AT) and developed pascal languge program to analysis neutron pulses. As a result of experiment, α is 103, 5, 155.6, 172.7 238.7, 266.5 (1/Sec) at -1, -20, -40, -60, -80, (cent) respectively, and compare it with other experiment data convinced accurate, know S/B ratio must be larger then 10% and in case of thermal reactor, low power reactor such as AGN-201 is needed to neutron noise analysis.

      • 100% 선별검사를 고려한 허용차의 결정

        This paper presents an economic model to determine producer's tolerance factor of a quality characteristic with 100% screening inspection on the assumptions of continuous quadratic loss function and linear inspection cost. A solution procedure for the optimum tolerance is developed and illustrated with a numerical example. Taguchi's tolerance determining procedure have been analyzed in the framework of western statistical quality control although Taguchi has derived tolerances with the consideration of quadratic loss function and deterministic quality characteristic.

      • Alnico 8 型 硬質磁性材料의 磁氣的 性質에 미치는 添加元素의 影響

        In order to study the alloying elements effects on the magnetic properties in Alnico 8 (Fe-35Co-14Ni-7Al-5Ti-3Cu) permanent magnet alloy, some Alnico 8-type alloys which are different in composition of Ni, Cu, Ti and Al were prepared by induction melting. They were thermomagnetically treated at 740℃ - 840℃ for 3-15 min and then aged at 600℃ for 15hours. The magnetic properties and the optimum thermomagnetic treatment condition were investigated. The results were as follows ; 1) The region of the high temperature α phase, the zone of the solution treatment, is extended by Al and Ti, but that is reduced by Ni and Cu. 2) In the composition range of 10-14 wt.% of Ni, the coercive force decreases greatly with decreasing the Ni content with little change of the residual magnetization and the squareness of demagnetization curve. The optimum thermomagnetic treatment condition appeared at high temperature and short time with decreasing the Ni content. 3) In the composition range of 1-3wt.% of Cu, the coercive force decreases greatly with decreasing the Cu content, but the residual magnetization shows increasing tendency with decreasing the Cu content. The optimum thermomagnetic treatment condition appeared at low temperature and long time with decreasing the Cu content. 4) In the composition range of 5-8wt.% of Ti, the coercive force increases with increasing the Ti content, but the residual magnetization decreases with increasing Ti content. The optimum thermomagnetic treatment temperature was not dependent on the Ti content, but the optimum thermomagnetic treatment time appeared at long time with increasing the Ti content.

      • 기업테러·유괴에 대한 리스크 관리적 접근

        새천년의 시작과 함께 종말론적 테러위협이 고조되고 있으며 전 세계 각 지역에서는 민족분리 독립, 이슬람 극단주의, 극좌·극우 등 다양한 동기에 비롯된 테러가 발생하여 많은 인명피해가 발생하고 있으며 테러양상은 더욱 대형화·무차별화되고 있다. 특히 우려가 되는 것은 최근 해외직접투자건수가 과거에 비해 늘어나고 해외여행자수가 큰 폭으로 증가하고 있는 가운데 해외에서 우리 국민이 테러를 당하는 사례는 매년 늘어나고 있다. 그 중에서도 해외진출기업의 임직원이나 기업이 유괴, 납치, 살상, 폭파, 약탈 등 피해를 입는 경우가 큰 비중을 차지하고 있다. 이와 같은 기업테러·유괴는 기업의 경영에 심각한 타격을 줄뿐만 아니라 가정에까지도 미치는 영향이 크다. 미국이나 일본의 경우에는 관민이 일체가 되어 해외자국 기업의 테러행위에 대한 효과적인 대응을 위해 특별조직을 운영하고 있고 기업들은 전문적인 칸설던트의 도움을 받아 기업안전 관리에 노력하고 있다. 그것에 비해 우리 기업의 경우에는 이 같은 대비책이 미비하며 심지어는 전혀 무방비상태에 있는 기업도 많다. 그러나 이 같은 기업테러·유괴에 대한 대응책은 리스크 관리를 통하여 어느 정도 대응할 수 있다. 리스크 관리는 위험의 제어와 재무 양쪽에서 살펴볼 수 있다. 먼저 위험의 예방은 기업으로 하여금 사전에 테러를 초래하는 원인을 제거하는 것이며, 회사에서의 대책, 이동수단에 대한 대책, 가정에 있어서의 대책으로 나누어 대응방안을 강구하는 것이다. 위험의 방지는 기업테러·유괴가 현실에 발생한 경우의 대비책으로서 위기관리조직의 발족, 전문컨설던트의 기용, 사원의 안전교육, 유괴방지대책 매뉴얼작성, 인질석방금의 조달과 관련하여 자금을 준비하는 것이다. 테러가 현실적으로 발생하고 테러범과의 협상이 성공적으로 마무리되었다고 하여도 기업이 입게 되는 피해는 매우 크다. 이를 위해서는 위험을 보험에 전가할 필요가 있다. 테러·유괴와 관련하는 보험으로는 Kidnap and Ransom Insurance(유괴인질석방금보험)이 있다. 그런데 보험계약은 전체 기업테러유괴에 대한 대응책의 극히 일부분에 지나지 않으며 최선의 방책은 기업테러·유괴가 일어나지 않도록 사전에 방지하는 것이다.

      • 성상세포종에서 등급에 따른 p53 단백 발현의 차이

        Background and Objectives: Mutation or inactivation of the p53 is important mechanism in a wide variety of human tumors. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between expression amount of p53 protein and the grade of astrocytic gliomas. Materials and Methods: This study analyzes 40 paraffin-embedded astrocytic glioma, including 10 cases of low grade, 20 cases of high grade, and 10 cases of maligant glioma (glioblastoma multiforme) were used to analyze the status of abnormal accumulation of wild type of p53 protein. The evaluation of the immunostaining result was based on the percentage of positive neoplastic cells. Results: Average positive cell rate of p53 protein were 4.2%, 35.4% and 16.2% in low grade astrocytoma, high grade astrocytoma and glioblastoma multiforme, respectively. Conclusion: p53 gene mutations were correlated with histologic grade of glial tumors. High grade and glioblastoma multiforme showed higher positive cell rate than low grade astrocytoma. These results suggest that the high positive rates of p53 protein is related to the poor prognosis.

      • 작물의 음향 신호에 대한 반응 분석에 관한 연구

        The puper studies the relationship between plants and audio signals. Responses of plant are transformed to electrical signals and digitized to process them on computer. Variance and mean are used for spatial domain analysis. and Fourier transform is used for frequency responses analysis as tools. We used celery cabbage, cucumber, parsley and onions as experimental plants. With this experiments, we found out that specific plants are sensitive to specific music signals and external stimulus.

        In 1995, The American National Standard Institute(ANSI) is planning to release a standard for the performance testing of personnel extremity dosimeters as ANSI N13.32 standard. The standard is applicable to a personnel extremity dosimeter process used for determing the dose equivalent to the extremities at the reference depth of 7㎎/㎠, as recommended by the International Commission for Radiation Units and Measurements Reports 39. In this study, theoretical calculations of dose equivalent were performed by using a Monte Carlo N-particle transport code for the two types of extremity phantom: one to represent a lower arm or leg composed of tissue and bone to test wrist or ankle dosimeters, and the other to represent a finger to test ring of hand dosimeters. The dose equivalent of the two extremity phantoms by taking consideration of the distribution of absorbed dose due to the interaction of homogeneous parallel broad beam of monoenergetic primary photons in the range between 15 keV and 1.5 MeV result from the kerma approximation with the Monte Carlo method.

      • 이침시술이 체중조절 선수의 스트레스 호르몬 변화에 미치는 영향

        This experimental study was designed to investigate effect of auricular acupuncture on the change of the urinary stress hormone in weight control of taekwondo players. Veteran taekwondo players in college were randomly divided into two groups, sample group(10 subjects were treated with auricular acupuncture) and control group(10 subjects were not treated with auricular acupuncture). The methods of weight reduction are low calorie diet, sauna and regular exercise(3hr/day) for 14 days. The acupoint of auricular acupuncture is shinmoon, stomach, endocrine, pancreas, hunger point. The urine samples were collected all four times at pre-treatment, post-treatment, before and after competition. These samples were used to analyze for cortisol, epinephrine and norepinephrine. The statistically analyzed results of stress hormones were summarized as follow; Urinary cortisol was shown significant increase in sample group at post-treatment. Epinephrine was shown signigicant increase in sample group at post-treatment, and control group was shown significant change at post-competition compared to sample group. Norepinephrine in control group was shown significant decrease at pre-competition compared to sample group.

        The purpose of this paper is to clarify the economic circulation and the phenomenal crisis as a exhibition of the internal contradiction in the process of the capitalistic accumulation. The four phases of the economic cycle reveal the secret characteristics of the accumulation process itself. The period of 'business revival' refer to the early expansion phase of capitalist recovery from a depression. In this period, demands increases, capitalism expands, and employment rises. The next half of expansion called 'period of business prosperity.' Demand for the products of business continues to expand in this period, but the expansion slows down. Consumer demand and investment both rise far more slowly than in previous period. The next phase is called 'Crisis' which corresponds to the first half of contraction in the cycle. In the crisis, both wage income and profit income drop rapidly, though profit drops faster than wages. As a result both consumer demand and investment demand drop rapidly, though investment drops faster than consumption. According to the role of credit, a rapid decline in credit brings severe recession, while a collapse of credit causes a depression. The last half of contraction called 'depression.' Wage income and consumer demand continue to decline, but less rapidly, partly due to government income supplements. Profits and investment continue to fall, but not as rapidly as in the crisis. Cost fall more rapidly in the depression. Thus the profit margin stabilize and may bring to rise. This ushers a new revival and the cycle begins again. Anyhow the cycle would run its course anew. Part of the capital, depreciated by its functional stagnation, would recover its old value. For the rest, the same vicious circle would be described once more under expanded conditions of production, with and expanded market and increased productive forces. Conclusively the general crisis of capitalist accumulation are caused by the internal function of the structure of capitalism. Tinkering with some feature of capitalism may possibly ameliorate the cycle of boom and bust, but cannot end it. While aggregate demand management and corporate bailouts have prevented a massive depression, they have not been able to resolve the crisis itself. The consequence is a long-run crisis that takes the form of a period of stagnation rather than a major collapse. The greatly retarded accumulation process is marked by slow overall growth, slow productivity growth, high rates of unemployed labor and idle capacity, depressed real wages, and depressed profit rates.
