      • 백서 뇌의 Ciliary Neurotrophic Factor 발현에 관한 면역조직화학적 연구

        It was reported recently that ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF) is mainly present in the Schwann cells and asrocytes and maintain the motor neurons in postnatal periods. But there is no detailed research about the localization of CNTF. Several articles showed that there were many regions which have CNTF positive neurons. To test the unsettled CNTF immunoreactivity, the immunohistochemistry with CNTF antibody (Research & Development of the BML, Japan) was performed in th erat brain. The adult female rats weighing aound 200g were fixed by perfusion and 40-㎛-thick frozen sections were taken, and perform CNTF immunohistochemistry. The CNTF immunoreactivity was observed in the astrocytes of the optic nerve, olfactory nerve, fimbriae of the hippocampus, internal capsule, and cingulum, and in the non-astrocytes of the pyramidal tracts, the ventral portion of the pontine nucleus, and the central portion of the medulla oblongata. These data show that CNTF immunoreactivities present mainly in the astrocytes between the nerve fiber bundles in the cerebrum and in the non-astrocytes of the brain stem.

        This thesis is to find the optimum way to increase the use of the currently widely vacuum tube solar collector through the analysis of its thermal efficiency and various types and features. The vacuum tube solar collector is divided into two classes depending on its design. One is equipped with a metal fin in a vacuum tube for collecting the solar heat, while the other uses an inner tube to collect the heat, in effect doubling the vacuum tube. Of course, both maximize the collection of solar heat but they differ in the way the heat is transferred to its point of use. In the first case, the collecting of the solar energy can derive the thermal analysis through the use of the theory of heat collection such as the flat-type collector's fin efficiency. The representative example of this is the type of vacuum tube with a heat pipe and attached.

        This study has been carried out to develop thermal diode Smart Modules. which are capable of adjusting the direction of heat flow and solar absorption. It can be used for space heating in winter and reduce the cooling load of buildings in summer. The major feature of this system is the application of bidirectional thermo-diode which allows a change in the forward bias heat transfer direction. Manufacturing processes and installation of the system were designed to facilitate the "modular" production of the system. A master module equipped with an electronic controller determines the operational mode of the system.

      • 저 발열량 페유 소각기 개발에 관한 실험적 연구

        The advanced waste oil incinerator is suggested that has heat recirculation region in the combustor to burn out the waste oil completely in high temperature zone and heat recuperator in the left side of combustion cavity which plays a role of the flame stabilization of main burner flame by heat recovery of exhaust gas to incinerate waste oil contained water. In order to investigate a simultaneously incineration efficiency of the vessel waste oil contained the hazardous waste which occurs from the vessel and the sea outflow waste oil experiments have been carried out using the emulsion fuel mixed the water and bunker fuel oil C and the blend mixed the light oil and the waste surrogate material (acetonitrile:CH_(3)CN). The results of experiments showed that the waste oil incinerator developed in this study was excellent for the incineration efficiency of waste oil at an air ratio of 1.46 and DRE (destruction and removal efficiencies) of CH_(3)CN was 99.9996% ("5 nines"). And optimum operating conditions for the secondary air flow rate of internal mix burner, preheating temperature and injection point of shipboard waste oil contained acetonitrile were suggested.

      • 걷기운동이 비만중년여성의 건강관련체력과 피하지방두께변화에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of walking exercise on health-related physical fitness and Subcutaneous fat thickness in obese middle-aged women. SPSS 11.0 was used to calculate mean and SD, and ANCOVA was conducted to examine the group difference between paired sample t-test and pre-test and post-test. The level of significance was set at a=.05. 1. The change of health-related physical fitness was examined, In the EG, there was no statistically significant difference in muscular strength, but there was statistically significant difference in muscle endurance(p<.05), f1exibi1ity(p<.01), and cardivascular endurance(p<.OOl). In the CG, there was no statistically significant difference in all factors. 2. The change of body composition was examined. In the EG, there was statistically significant difference in weight(p<.001) and % body fat(p(.001), but 3. The change of skinfold thickness was examined. In the EG. there was statistically significant difference in triceps. subscapular, midaxillary, abdominal, suprailliac, and popliteal muscles(p<.001) and front thigh(p(.01), but there was no statistically significant difference in medial calf. In the CG, there was no statistically significant difference in all regions. In conclusion, as results of conducting the 12-week walking exercise program for obese middle-aged women, it was found that the program improved health-related and effectively reduced % body fat and skinfold thickness. It is recommended that middle-aged women should do low intensity endurance exercise rather than excessive exercise. Further study should conduct a walking exercise program and a dietary cure together to provide obese middle-aged women with a more effective program.

      • Thermal Analysis of Passive Solar Schoolroom Designs

        This paper studies thermal performances of three types of schoolroom configurations designed to maximize the use of solar energy. Each design contains certain distinctive haracteristics in trapping and utilization of solar energy. To carry out the thermal analysis here numerical simulations as well as on-thesite measurements are peformed for a certain period of time (unsteady state). The results are then extended to predict the long term average thermal performance of each configuration during a typical wintry season. Suggestions are further made to improve its overall environmental conditions when designing a schoolroom with passive solar concepts.

      • 관광종사원 자격제도활용의 개선방안에 관한 연구

        본 논문은 우리나라의 관광종사원자격제도가 객관적이고 합리적으로 체계화되었으며 또한 관광업체에서는 관광종사원자격제도의 활용이 적절히 활용되는지 또한 적절히 활용되지 않고 있다면 어떤 이유인지를 파악하여 그 문제의 개선방안을 제시하였다. 연구의 방법은 관련된 문헌 및 법규정을 고찰하였고 관광종사원자격제도활용의 실증자료를 얻기 위하여 관련대상자에 대한 설문지 조사법과 전화 및 면접방법을 병행하였으며 연구의 범위는 관광종사원중 관광호텔업의 중간관리자이상인 총괄지배인을 비롯한 현관, 객실, 식당의 책임자를 연구대상으로 그 범위를 설정하였다. 연구의 결과는 첫째 관광종사원자격제도 활용을 위한 관광업무별 자격기준 중 관광호텔업에서 동일등급의 관광호텔은 호텔의 규모와는 관계없이 업무장소(현관, 객실, 식당)별의 책임자 수를 의무적으로 고용하도록 제도화하므로 호텔경영상 문제점이 있는 것으로 파악되었다. 둘째는 관광종사원자격제도가 관광호텔에서 어느정도 활용되는지를 파악하여 본 결과 1등급이상 관광호텔의 업무장소(현관, 객실, 식당)별의 책임자 활용에서 특1등급호텔이 11.1%, 특2등급호텔47.8%, 1등급호텔은 47.1%가 활용되지 않고 있었는데 그 원인은 관광호텔의 규모(객실기준)가 작은 호텔이었다. 셋째, 호텔의 규모가 작은 관광호텔들이 왜 관광종사원자격제도활용을 이행하지 못하는가를 관광종사원자격제도활용의 법규정을 분석하여 본 결과 관광호텔의 등급결정 평정기준점수에서 관광호텔의 규모(객실기준)와는 관계없이 그 점수가 배점되었다. 그러므로 이상과 같은 결점이 있으므로 관광종사원자격제도가 원만히 활용되지 못하고 있는 점을 감안하여 향후 관광호텔의 인적서비스를 향상시키기 위해서는 업무장소별의 책임자 수를 호텔의 등급별에 의한 것이 아니라 호텔의 규모별에 의하여 그 책임자 수를 정하도록 개선되어야 한다.

      • A Study of the Thermal Performance of Batch-Type Passive Solar Hot Water Systems

        Three batch-type passive water heating systems. which serve the dual function of absorbing solar energy and storing the heated water. have been designed and fabricated for the purpose of side-by-side tests at KIER. The batch systems evaluated are classified according to the design of the box and the arrangement of the storage tanks. Experimental and numerical results given here show the transient performance of these devices. It is also shown that enough hot water could be available in the early morning if the glazing is covered overnight by appropriate insulation. From this study a design has been selected for commercial development in Korea.
