        Porous silicon, electrochemically etched in HF solution, exhibits a unique properties including great potential for use as a light emitter as well as being suited to incorporation into biological systems. This application leads to the types of silicon known as 'light emitting silicon' and 'biosilicon'. The processes and techniques leading to the fabrication of these materials are closely related. Visible electroluminescence from the cathodically biased porous silicon electrode in electrolyte solution containing persulfate ions(S2O82-) exhibits a blue shift with increasing applied potential. The blue shift can be attributed to the formation of accumulation layer and to the Fermi level pinning in the porous silicon. However, the formation, luminescence, or reaction mechanism and electrochemical properties of porous silicon were still not completely understood in every detail. Although the surface of porous silicon layer was covered with hydrogen produced in as etchant, its hydrophobic property exhibited a abnormal current-decay curves under constant potential.

        수면 무호흡과 불안장애의 불면증에 대한 다원수면기록

        Objects : The authors studied polysomnographic findings of patients with sleep apnea DIMS (disorders of initiating and maintainig sleep) syndrome and anxiety disorders with insomnia related to another mental disorders. Methods : Eight patients with sleep apnea DIMS syndrome and fourteen patients with anxiety disorder with insomnia related to another mental disorder(nonorganic) were studied using computerized polysomnography. Results : 1) The sleep period time were significantly decreased in anxiety disorder group and the sleep latency was prolonged in these patients. 2) The changes in sleep stage and the number of arousals during sleep period time were more frequent in sleep apneic patients group. And using these variables we could discriminate sleep apneic patients group from subjects with anxiety disorder. 3) The stage 1 sleep was significantly increased in sleep apneic patients. 4) The apnea index in sleep apnea patients was 28.1±25.7. Conclusion : These results suggested that even though there were similiar clinical presentaion such as insomnia, the sleep features of sleep apnea DIMS syndrome and anxiety disorder with insomnia were different. And though there were no instruments to check respiratory flow or movement, it would be possible to discriminate the sleep apnea DIMS syndrome from the anxiety disorder with insomnia by recording the changes in sleep stage and the number of arousals in overnight electroencephalographic procedure.

        This study examines the physical fitness of each factor needed by working men, seeks to improve their physical strength by age and the degree of obesity, prevent several diseases due to the lack of exercise in advance, improve their service efficiency, enjoy efficient leisure activities and develop exercise programs for diagnosing physical strength and improving health. It calculated the mean and standard deviation by age and obesity (BMI) using statistical program SPSS 11.0 with 702 working men and obtained the following conclusions from post-test using one-way ANOVA and scheffe for differential test of the mean between groups. 1. In compahson of physical fitness factors by age, the group below 29 years old showed higher physical fitness level than other age groups in muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, equilibrium, agility, power, whole body reaction and cardiopulmonary endurance and in comparison between groups by age, there was statistically significant difference at all physical fitness factors as p<.001. 2. In comparison of physical fitness factors by obesity, underweight group showed higher physical fitness level at muscular endurance, agility, equilibrium and flexibility factors, normal weight group showed higher physical fitness at power and whole body reaction factors and obesity group showed higher physical fitness at muscular strength factor. In addition, as a result of comparing physical fitness factors among groups by obesity, there was statistically significant difference at muscular strength, agility, Power, flexibility and cardiopulmonary factors as p<-05.

      • 船舶原子爐의 硏究開發에 關한 考察

        (1) Nuclear power is currently requested as substitute energy source of a fossil fuel and with a part of an anti-pollution policy in the earth. According to data in Norway, which was handed in 29th MEPC-IMO Marine Environment committee-in March of 1990, the pollution levels for specific gases include 2% for CO2 4% for SOx and 7% for NOx from international ships, that could make the earth warm and also acidic rain. And it's also important that the emissions of bilge water from ship pollute the sea. (2) The plant process quantity in nuclear ship can be influenced by the vibration of ship under stormy weather. ① The reactor power, temperature and pressure, the amount of flowing water level in plant process are changed at large. Especially a water level in steam generator and a pressurizer can be influenced largely by water surface and two-phase flow condition. According to a frequency-explanation of ship's vibration, in ship's heaving, rolling and pitching, heaving of the ship affects the fluctuation of water level largely in proportion to acceleration of up and down motion. ② The load variation which is caused by R.P.M of the main propulsion engine and its power in a ship managed by engineer's intention or natural condition makes much vibration in the ship. The periodical vibration of propeller and its racing also cause much vibration in the ship. (3) The vacuum of main condenser can be influenced by the temperature of sea water which is approximately from 5℃ to 30℃. The lower temperature of sea water marks, the higher vacuum-rate marks, which makes engine power increase. (4) As stated above, nuclear engineering should concentrate on study about more safe and easy-handling and economical marine reactor. The government should establish faithfully the policy about substitute energy.

      • 原子力船의 燃料와 母體核物質이 爐心의 設計에 미치는 影響

        The nuclear ship reactor is influenced by roiling, pitching, heaving, yawing, during the voyage, according to the sea conditions. Moreover, reactor have produced the sequent thermal power in proportion to load changed by the main pro-pulsion steam turbine. So it must be wholly controlled, besides the nuclear reactor must have safety factor and economic efficiency. In the planning of nuclear reactor, such points as nuclear characteristics, hydrothermal characteristics, structure design and instrumentation must be taken into account. The author treats the nuclear fuel and fertile material which have great energy and radioactivity of the partial of nuclear characteristics. In order to have the best efficiency, the reactor core must have high burnup, large uranium utilization ratio, high power density and resonance escape probability. So the author, Places emphasis on the above points, accounts for the concept of the planning of the nuclear ship reactor core in relation to the fissile nuclide, fertile material and resonance escape probability, and also investigates actual examples of existing nuclear ship.

      • Empirical Testing of International Financial Models under Open Economy:for the Case of German Economy between Bretton-Woods and EMS : for the Case of German Economy between Bretton-Woods and EMS

        본 연구의 목적은 Keynesian, Fleming-Mundell, 그리고 AD-AS 모형 등 국제금융이론들이 개방경제(open economy)체제에 적용가능한지를 모형에서 가정하는 경제환경과 유사한 변동환율제 하에서의 독일경제를 통해 검증하는 것이다. 먼저 독일의 경제를 전후(戰後)부터 유럽의 그룹변동환율제도(EMS)가 도입된 1979년까지의 기간에 대해 이론적으로 분석하고, 고정환율제인 브레튼우즈 체제가 붕괴되어 독립 변동환율체제가 도입된 후 EMS이전까지 개방경제에 가장 근접한 기간동안 세 가지 모형이 어느정도 설명력이 있는지 실제 데이터를 가지고 검증하였다. 회귀분석을 이용한 실증 연구결과 세 모형에서 예측하는 가설이 실제 경제현상과 일치함(consistent)을 발견하였고, 이는 이들 모형들이 개방된 국제경제 하에서 실제 경제현상들을 분석하고 예측하는데 적절하게 사용될 수 있음을 보여준다. 다만, 본 연구에서 도출된 결과들은 연구기간과 자료의 한계로 경제현상을 설명하기 위한 모든 변수들을 고려하지 못한 상황에서 얻어진 것이므로 이를 일반화시키기 위해서는 다른 국가와 다른 연구기간에 대해 향후 추가 연구가 필요하다고 사료된다.

      • 노인에게서 대퇴골 고관절 치환술시 마취관리 : 증례보고 A case report

        An Ninety-year old female patient was transferred to the operating room for hip arthroplasty under regional anesthesia. Pulmonary (unction studies revealed severe restrictive pattern, and cardiomegaly noted in her chest X-ray examination. For the prevention of hypothermia, we first prepared blanketrol and IV line warmer and attempted epidural anesthesia, but we failed. We then did spinal anesthesia which was successfully administered. After performing regional anesthesia and injection of methylmethacrylate bone cement into the intramedullary canal, blood pressure and pulse was stable and no other evidence of instability. In the recovery room, she did not show any other symtoms, and three weeks later, she was discharged hospital without any sequelaes.

      • 초등학교 시설 증·개축에 따른 배치계획 조사 연구

        The school building in the 21st century is pursuing qualitative alteration instead of securing conventional quantitative and uniform educational space. Furthermore, in the light of learning method, it is being reconstructed as opener educational environment, being equipped with agreeable facilities and equipment. In this context, site block plan as per extension and reconstruction of elementary school can be classified into increment of school building, life accompanied by collective residence, increment of regional population, alteration of building form and amendment of curriculum. Considering conditions such as correlation between the outer/inner space generating in the site block plan as per the 7th curriculum and building form, connection form of moving line in the alteration of school block, etc. for elementary school block as per extension and reconstruction, elementary school can be located more efficiently in the light of space. Thus, taking the elementary school buildings located in Daegu as subject, this study compares and analyzes the site block plan of existing elementary schools and those after extension and reconstruction. Then, based on the result shown in the research of site block plan, this study will draw out the existing issues and present corresponding direction for extension and reconstruction of elementary school buildings for the future. 21세기 학교건축은 기존의 양적이고 획일적인 교육공간의 확보에서 질적인 변화를 추구하고 있으며, 학습방법에 있어서도 쾌적한 시설과 설비를 갖추고 보다 개방적인 교육환경으로 재구성하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 초등학교 증·개축에 따른 배치계획은 교사동의 증가와 집합주거로 수반되는 생활, 지역인구 증가, 건물의 형태 변화, 교육과정개정으로 나누어 분류 할 수 있는데 제7차 교육과정에 따른 배치계획에서 발생되는 외·내부공간과 건물형태와의 상관관계, 학교 배치의 변화로 인한 동선의 연결형태 등 증·축에 따른 초등학교 배치에 있어 이러한 조건들을 감안한다면 초등학교 계획 시 보다 효율적인 공간적 배치가 가능할 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 대구광역시에 위치한 초등학교 건물을 대상으로 증·개축 할 경우 기존과 증·개축이 이루어진 초등학교의 배치를 비교·분석하여 배치계획 연구과정을 통해 나타나는 결과를 바탕으로 기존의 문제점을 도출하여 이에 대응한 향후 초등학교 증·개축계획의 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

      • 이상적인 측정환경이 아닌 장소에서 Headphone Audiocup의 부착유무가 현장 근로자의 청력검사에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of headphone audiocup. The subjects were composed of workers of noise-exposed population. The noise level of workplace was over 85 dB. They were examined otoscopic test and audiometry of 1,000 Hz and 4,000 Hz. The data were analysed according to wearing audiocups for 612 subjects in -59 years of age and major results are as follows : 1.Hearing thresholds of group audiocups were significantly decreased than that of non-audiocups in -19, 20-29, 40-49 and 50-59 years of age on left ear of male workers and in -19, 20-29 years of age on left ear of female for 1,000 Hz. 2.Hearing thresholds of group audiocups were significantly decreased than that of non-audiocups in 20-29, 40-49 and 50-59 years of age on right ear of male and in -19, 20-29 and 40-49 years of age on right ear of female for 1,000 Hz. 3.Hearing thresholds of group audiocups were significantly decreased than that of non-audiocups in 20-29, 30-39 and 40-49 years of age on left ear of male worriers and in 20-29 years of age on left ear of female for 4,000 Hz. 4.Hearing thresholds of group audiocups were significantly decreased than that of non-audiocups in 20-29, 30-39 and 50-59 years of age on right ear of male and in 20-29 and 40-49 years of age on right ear of female for 4,000 Hz.
