Because the power systemload the randomness of the nature, power transmission of AC induction system has the low efficiency. In order to improve the transmission efficiency,the transmission efficiency influenced factors of the system is analyzed. Based on the current source power transfer system, DC/DC circuit for dynamic adjustment method is proposed. The method ensures that the transmission efficiency is the biggest.
Study on Harmonic Detection and Suppression Methods of EAF

This paper presents an improved ip - iq detection method for three-phase four-wire electric arc furnace (EAF) systems based on the instantaneous reactive power theory, which can be applied not only to stationary load, but also to non- stationary load with large fluctuations in electrical parameters. Simulation experiments show that this detection method is indeed capable of fundamental and harmonic separation to achieve the purpose of harmonic detection.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>There are great variations of inter-annual ecosystem photosynthetic productivity (GPP) in rice agricultural mosaic landscapes in Asian monsoon regions, consisting of relatively small land holdings. It is therefore of great importance to capture and interpret spatiotemporal aspects of per-field GPP. This goal, however, remains challenging partially due to absence of adequate methodology that applies ecophysiological data to broader spatial and temporal dimensions to explicitly quantify influences of environment change on per-field GPP. To accomplish the goal, field experiments were carried out at spatially adjacent flooding paddy (PD) and rainfed (RF) lowland rice (<I>Oryza sativa</I>) fields, taking year-round measurements in micrometeorological factors, leaf and canopy photosynthesis, and field reflectance with help from an unmanned aviation vehicle (UAV) system. A spatially hierarchical integration (PIXel based CANopy photosynthesis model, PIXCAN) that fuses measurements from leaf to canopy and field scales was then developed. Our results showed that the PIXCAN fusion could well capture and characterize spatial properties of per-field ecosystem GPP. Spatial variations (SV) of ecosystem carbon uptake capacity (GPP<SUB>max</SUB>) at the PD and RF fields decreased over the growing season. However, occurrence of prolonged non-precipitation period due to climate anormaly in mid-August led to severe constraints of GPP<SUB>max</SUB> and counter-seasonally strengthened SV that would decrease in the RF rice field, primarily due to drought impacts on light-harvesting efficiency and less to stomatal conductance. Collectively, we highlighted ecological implications of the integration applied at field niche in spatially hierarchical observation of ecosystem regulating/production provisions from leaf to landscape dimensions.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> A spatially hierarchical integration (PIXCAN) links UAV remote sensing and at-surface measurements. </LI> <LI> Spatiotemporal variations of per-field photosynthetic productivity were captured and interpreted. </LI> <LI> Occurrence of prolonged non-rainfall period led to severe constraints of GPP<SUB>max</SUB> and significantly strengthened SV. </LI> <LI> Drought-stressed ecosystem GPP<SUB>max</SUB> primarily due to constrained light-harvesting efficiency and less to stomatal conductance. </LI> <LI> Ecological implications of the integration in spatially hierarchical observation of ecosystem GPP. </LI> </UL> </P>

Pichia pastoris is a suitable host for selecting mutant enzymes, since it can secret many gene products to the medium. However, poor transformation efficiency is often encountered. This makes it difficult to obtain a large number of transformants necessary to thoroughly cover a large library. We report here that pre-coating DNA with polyethyleneimine and dextran sulfate increased gene integration significantly in Pichia electroporation. This improvement on integrative efficiency has been proved in different voltage, resistance, cell phase, and DNA concentrations. The condensed DNA nanoparticles make Pichia available as a host for screening large libraries of random mutants.
Clinical Features and Survival Analysis of Very Young (Age<35) Breast Cancer Patients

Objectives: To compare the clinicalpathological features and prognosis between premenopausal breast cancer patients aged of <35 and ${\geq}35$ years old. Methods: The clinical data and survival status of 1498 cases premenopausal operable breast cancer treated in our hospital from 2002.1 to 2004. 12 were collected, 118 cases were aged <35. They were divided into 4 groups: Luminal A, Luminal B, HER2-positive, Triple-negative. The disease free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) were identified. Results: The 5-year DFS and OS rates were significantly lower in age<35 than in $age{\geq}35$ patients. In the Luminal B, HER2-positive, Triple-negative group, the 5-year recurrence risk was higher in age<35 than in $age{\geq}35$ patients, and age<35 patients' 5-year death risk was higher only in Luminal B, Triple-negative group. Regardless of whether lymph node involved, age<35 patients had a bad prognosis in both DFS and OS. Conclusions: Compared with premenopausal age ${\geq}35$ breast cancer, age<35 patients had a worse outcome.

The method for analysing the heart rate variability (HRV) has been adopted for assessment of health. In this paper, a summary of computer program for advanced HRV analysis which has calculated all the commonly used time and frequency domain measures of HRV as well as the nonlinear Poincare plot has been presented. The program was originally developed by using eclipse 3.4.2 based on JDK 1.6 and the generated results can be saved as a format of Microsoft Excel, which could be more convenient for further heart disease diagnostic analysis.
A Study of the Rhythm of Native, Chinese, and Korean Speakers of English in Read Speech

This study investigated the rhythm of read speech in English of six native English speakers, 10 Chinese speakers and 10 Korean speakers by means of the durational variability in adjacent vowel intervals using normalized Pairwise Variability Indices (nPVI). The results of the analysis identified rhythmic differences among the three groups. The rhythm of Korean speakers’ English is more syllable-timed than that of the native English speakers, and Chinese speakers are intermediate between the other groups. The L1 rhythm of Chinese and Korean speakers was also examined to see whether the speakers exhibit different rhythms according to their L1. The results showed that Chinese speakers and Korean speakers do not show the same rhythmic tendencies as their L1 when speaking English. Through this study, we can conclude that, although L1 interference of Chinese and Korean speakers is not prominent in their English-speaking rhythm, it is somewhat difficult for Korean speakers to acquire proper English rhythm due to the different syllabic structures between Korean and English.

Nucleolar and coiled-body phosphoprotein 1 (NOLC1) is a phosphoprotein that transiently associates with the mature nucleolar H/ACA and C/D box small nucleolar ribonucleoproteins (snoRNPs). Several lines of evidence indicate that NOLC1 plays an important role in the synthesis of rRNA and the biosynthesis of ribosomes. In the present study, we examined the transcriptional regulation mechanisms that govern the expression of NOLC1. We first performed functional dissection of the NOLC1 promoter. We demonstrated that transcription factors NF-κB and CREB could bind to the minimal NOLC1 promoter. This was demonstrated by electrophoretic mobility shift assays and chromatin immunoprecipitation. Mutagenesis and overexpression assays revealed that NF-κB and CREB positively regulated the NOLC1 promoter. These findings may provide new insight into the mechanisms that regulate NOLC1 expression.
