        기술혁신 및 시장지향성이 기업의 성과에 미치는 영향과 리더십의 조절효과에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 기업의 시장지향성이 기업성과에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 기술혁신이 어떤 역할을 하는지 분석하고자 하였다. 또한, 시장지향성과 기술혁신이 기업성과에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 리더십 유형별로 어떤 양상의 조절효과가 있는지 검증하고자 하였다. 표본은 2021년 6월 - 7월 온라인 방식의 설문을 총 3,173명에게 발송하여 산업 및 직급의 적정한 분포를 고려하고 불성실한 응답을 제외하여 최종적으로 414개의 응답을 통계분석에 사용하였다. 이에 따른 가설 검증 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기술혁신은 시장지향성이 재무적 성과에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 부분 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으나, 비재무적 성과에 영향을 미치는 과정에서는 매개효과가 유의하지 않는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 고객지향성이 재무적 성과에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 기술혁신은 완전매개효과가 존재하는 것으로 밝혀졌으나, 비재무적 성과에 영향을 미치는 과정에서는 기술혁신의 매개효과는 유의하지 않았다. 경쟁자지향성이 재무적 성과, 비재무적 성과에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 기술혁신은 매개효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 내부기능간 조정이 재무적 성과에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 기술혁신은 부분 매개효과가 존재하는 것으로 밝혀졌으나, 비재무적 성과에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 기술혁신의 매개효과는 없는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 셋째, 기술혁신과 기업성과 사이에서 리더십의 조절효과를 분석한 결과에서는 변혁적리더십과 거래적리더십의 조절효과가 모두 긍정적 효과를 보였고 시장지향성과 기업성과에 대해서는 변혁적리더십만이 시장지향성과 비재무적성과 사이에서 조절효과가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 기술혁신만을 추구하는 것보다는 시장지향성과 같이 고객을 중시하는 마케팅 활동을 병행하는 것이 기업의 성과를 크게 할 수 있다는 것과 변혁적리더십/거래적리더십이 기술혁신 및 시장지향성과 기업성과 사이에 미치는 조절효과가 연구결과로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구가 횡단분석의 한계가 있지만, 학문적으로 기술혁신의 기업성과에 미치는 영향에서 시장지향성 및 리더십과 관계를 동시에 연구함으로써, 기술혁신의 실질적인 성공원인을 찾는 연구의 범위를 확대하는 의의가 있으며, 실무적으로 기술혁신이 기업현장에서 성공하기 위하여 시장지향성 등 마케팅 및 리더십이 어떤 방식으로 현장에 적용되어야 하는 지를 파악하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of technical innovation in the process in which a company’s market orientation influences its performance. In addition, it was intended to verify how market orientation and technical innovation are moderated by each type of leadership in the process of affecting corporate performance. For the sample, an online questionnaire was sent to a total of 3,173 people from June to July 2021, considering the proper distribution of industries and positions, and excluding insincere responses, and finally 414 responses were used for statistical analysis. The followings summarize the results of the hypothetical validation accordingly. First, technical innovation has been shown to have a partial mediating effect in the process in which market orientation affects financial performance, but the mediating effect on non-financial performance is not significant. Second, although technical innovation has been found to have a fully mediated effect in the process of customer orientation affecting financial performance, the mediated effect of technical innovation on non-financial performance was not significant. In the process of competitor orientation affecting financial and non-financial performance, technical innovation has no mediated effect. It was found that there was a partial mediating effect of technical innovation on financial performance, but it was found that there was no mediating effect of technical innovation on non-financial performance. Third, as a result of analyzing the moderating effect of leadership between technical innovation and corporate performance, both transformational leadership and transactional leadership had positive effects. Regarding market orientation and corporate performance, only transformational leadership was found to have a moderating effect between market orientation and non-financial performance. It has been found that, rather than pursuing only technical innovation, it is possible to increase the company’s performance by concurrently carrying out marketing activities that focus on customers, such as market orientation. In addition, the results of the study revealed the moderating effect of transformational leadership/transactional leadership between technical innovation and market orientation and corporate performance. This study has limitations in cross-sectional analysis. However, it is meaningful to expand the scope of research to find the actual cause of success of technical innovation by studying the relationship between market orientation and leadership in the academic performance of technical innovation at the same time. In practice, it is expected that technical innovation can help to understand how marketing and leadership such as market orientation should be applied to the field in order to succeed in the corporate field.

      • Endogenous interleukin-l8 modulates immune escape of murine melanoma cells

        It has been known that melanoma cells can suppress the immune system by the Fas ligand. The present study investigated whether interleukin(IL)-18, which can enhance Fas ligand expression, is produced by B16F10 melanoma cells and is involved in immune escape of tumor cells. Immunohistology, RT-PCR, intracellular FACS analysis, and immunoblotting demonstrated that melanoma cells express IL-18. In addition to IL-18, the IL-18 receptor was also detected in B16F10 melanoma cells, suggesting a role of this cytokine in regulating the functions of B16F10 melanoma cells. The functional effect of IL-18 on B16F10 melanoma cells was shown by reduction of Fas ligand expression in cells transfected with IL-18 antisense cDNA. In addition, the same treatments decreased intracellular reactive oxygen intermediate levels in B16F10 melanoma cells, indicating that IL-18 regulates reactive oxygen intermediate production. Furthermore, transfection of IL-18 antisense cDNA into melanoma cells increased the susceptibility of tumor cells to natural killer cells in vitro. When IL-18 antisense transfectants were implanted into syngeneic mice, severe reduction of tumor cell growth was observed. Taken together, these results demonstrate that IL-18 has a critical role as a survival factor for B16F10 melanoma cells.

      • Regulation of IL-18 expression by CRH in mouse microglial cells

        Corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH) is a major regulator of the stress response. This study examined whether CRH regulates interleukin-18 expression on microglia, BV2. Our data show that CRH enhanced IL-18 expression and significantly induced the secretion of functional IL-18 protein. Furthermore, CRH induced IL-18 production could be blocked by N-acetyl-L-cystein (NAC), which suggests that reactive oxygen intermediates (ROI) may be involved in regulating IL-I8. Indeed, it was also found that CRH increased the generation of ROJ. Taken together, these results indicate that CRH is an important mediator that regulates IL-18 expression in the brain during stress.
