FIXED POINT THEOREMS FOR WEAK CONTRACTION IN INTUITIONISTIC FUZZY METRIC SPACE

Vats, Ramesh Kumar,Grewal, Manju The Honam Mathematical Society 2016 호남수학학술지 Vol.38 No.2

The notion of weak contraction in intuitionistic fuzzy metric space is well known and its study is well entrenched in the literature. This paper introduces the notion of (${\psi},{\alpha},{\beta}$)-weak contraction in intuitionistic fuzzy metric space. In this contrast, we prove certain coincidence point results in partially ordered intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces for functions which satisfy a certain inequality involving three control functions. In the course of investigation, we found that by imposing some additional conditions on the mappings, coincidence point turns out to be a fixed point. Moreover, we establish a theorem as an application of our results.

Options for Enhanced Anaerobic Digestion of Waste and Biomass—a Review

        Neelam Vats,Abid Ali Khan,Kafeel Ahmad 한국농업기계학회 2020 바이오시스템공학 Vol.45 No.1

Introduction Anaerobic digestion (AD) is a promising technology because it is economically feasible, environmentally friendly, and socially acceptable. Moreover, biogas generation from organic waste is considered to be the future of bio-energy. Purpose In this paper, we review the substrates available for biogas production, different methods for improvement of AD processes (two-stage anaerobic digestion and digestate recirculation) and various pre-treatment techniques used to enhance biogas generation. Method Two-stage digestion and co-digestion of two or more substrates appear to be promising techniques for enhanced anaerobic digestion. These techniques could help to maintain the nutrient balance in a system without the further addition of nutrients, in addition to enhancing biogas generation. Results Pre-treatment of various substrates is mainly used to increase the hydrolysis rate and thus enhance the efficiency of AD processes.

Novel LC–MS/MS method for estimation of niacin with negligible matrix effect and its application to the BE study

Poonam Vats,S. Manaswita Verma,Tausif Monif 한국약제학회 2017 Journal of Pharmaceutical Investigation Vol.47 No.3

A liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry method for the quantification of the cholesterol lowering drug niacin in human plasma was developed and validated according to the current bioanalytical guidelines. Following solid phase extraction niacin and the internal standard nicotinic-d4 acid were extracted from an aliquot of 100 lL of human plasma. Chromatographic separation achieved on Inertsil CN-3 column (100 9 4.6 mm, 5 lm) by using mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile and solution-1 (0.002 % Formic acid water, v/v) in the ratio of 70:30, v/v was delivered at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min with 25 % split ratio. The detection was performed on a triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometer by multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode via electrospray ionization source. The mass transitions of niacin and IS were m/z 124.1/80.1 and m/z 128.1/84.1 respectively. The linear calibration curves were obtained in the concentration range of 50.6–25022.7 ng/mL (r2 C 0.99) for niacin. The intra- and inter-day precision and relative error were all within 11 %. Despite achieving high mean recovery ([80 %), no interference peaks or matrix effects were observed. Detailed stability exercises including drug stability in blood, hemolyzed, lipemic and normal plasma were conducted to extend the method applicability in vast majority of clinical studies using 750 mg niacin oral dosage form.

Deterrent effect of Calotropis procera R. Br. on feeding, oviposition and egg hatchability of Plutella xylostella (L.) (Lepidoptera: Plutellidae)

        Tarun Kumar Vats,Vagisha Rawal,Ashok Kumar Singh,Sanjiv Mullick 한국응용곤충학회 2023 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.26 No.2

Deterrent effect of aqueous, methanol and hexane extracts of Calotropis procera leaves was evaluated on the feeding and ovipositional response of diamondback moth (DBM), Plutella xylostella, in no-choice and choice bioassays under standard laboratory conditions. Concentration-dependent reduction in feeding was observed when the fourth instar DBM larvae were offered extract treated cauliflower leaf discs in both the bioassays. Antifeedant Index values obtained for aqueous (R 2 = 0.9338), methanol (R 2 = 0.8298) and hexane (R 2 = 0.9068) extract were positively correlated with increasing concentrations. Moreover, the eggs laid by female diamond back moth on cauliflower leaves treated with test extracts were also found to be significantly lowered in a dosedependent manner in no-choice and choice conditions. The Oviposition Deterrent Index values increased significantly at different concentrations of a particular test extract. The percent hatchability of eggs treated with hexane extract concentrations was significantly reduced compared with untreated eggs. However, aqueous and methanol extracts showed no effect on the egg hatchability. This initial study evaluates the potential of foliar extracts of C. procera for manipulating behavioral aspects of DBM for sustainable management of this pest.

COMMON FIXED POINT THEOREM IN FUZZY METRIC SPACE USING CONTROL FUNCTION

Kumar, Amit,Vats, Ramesh Kumar Korean Mathematical Society 2013 대한수학회논문집 Vol.28 No.3

We give a fixed point theorem for complete fuzzy metric space which generalizes fuzzy Banach contraction theorems established by V. Gregori and A. Spena [Fuzzy Sets and Systems 125 (2002), 245-252] using notion of altering distance, initiated by Khan et al. [Bull. Austral. Math. Soc. 30 (1984), 1-9] in metric spaces.

      • Electronic structure, magnetic and structural properties of Ni doped ZnO nanoparticles

        Kumar, S.,Vats, P.,Gautam, S.,Gupta, V.P.,Verma, K.D.,Chae, K.H.,Hashim, Mohd.,Choi, H.K. Pergamon Press 2014 Materials research bulletin Vol.59 No.-

We report structural, magnetic and electronic structural properties of Ni doped ZnO nanoparticles prepared by auto-combustion method. The prepared nanoparticles were characterized by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), near edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectroscopy, and dc magnetization measurements. The XRD and HR-TEM results indicate that Ni doped ZnO nanoparticles have single phase nature with wurtzite lattice and exclude the presence of secondary phase. NEXAFS measurements performed at Ni L3,2-edges indicates that Ni ions are in +2 valence state and exclude the presence of Ni metal clusters. O K-edge NEXAFS spectra indicate an increase in oxygen vacancies with Ni-doping, while Zn L3,2-edge show the absence of Zn-vacancies. The magnetization measurements performed at room temperature shows that pure and Ni doped ZnO exhibits ferromagnetic behavior.

Deep learning-based heat optimization techniques for forecasting indoor temperature changes

        Latika Jindal,Nitika Vats Doohan,Swati Vaidya,Hemlata Patel,Arpit Deo 대한공간정보학회 2024 Spatial Information Research Vol.32 No.1

The traditional climate compensator technique requires extensive modifcations and signifcantly relies on manual knowledge when it comes to winter heating in buildings. This paper suggests a deep-learning-based optimization procedure for heating systems to improve the initial control strategy. To begin, we recommend using a deep MTDN (Multiple Time Diference Network) to deduce the thermodynamic laws governing the dynamics of indoor temperature changes and make future predictions about the temperature in a given space. The network is and follows physical rules; next, M is used as a simulator, and the evaluation index representing the human thermal reaction issued as the appropriate reward item. Next, a strategy optimizer based on the SAC (Soft Actor-Critic) learning thought algorithm is used to train the simulator to realize a stable and excellent heating control strategy; fnally, experiments are designed using real data from a Tianjin heat exchange station to evaluate the simulator’s ability to predict future outcomes. It is confrmed that the simulator not only has high prediction accuracy but also adheres to the laws of physics and that the strategy optimizer learned approach could guarantee more stable and comfortable indoor temperature in multiple periods of random sampling, as compared to the original strategy.
