Slum and land have a dialectical relationship. A land that is a slum embodies a filthy and dirty territory that hinders the aesthetic competitiveness of a global city. On the other hand, a slum as a land opens opportunities for multiple uses that promise resurrection of world-class ambition. However, in a situation of tight regulation, informal habitations are often could not be forcefully evicted for this dream to come true. In such an event more conciliatory, yet shrewd, practices are adopted to appropriate land from the informally residing community. A number of tools ply to get the work done, among which geography, cartography, and manipulation of statutory laws are more prominent. Taking Kolkata as a case, I wish to situate ongoing appropriation of central urban land as mediated by these three factors. In Kolkata, while forceful evictions take place on informally occupied land both at the fringe and the central part of the city with vague statutory laws, in the tightly regulated central part of the city, appropriation replaces expropriation, accompanied by a more regular invocation of slum in policy and governmental discourses. The study adds to the dispossession literature by underscoring the role of mediating factors in appropriating the central urban land that could not be coercively expropriated, yet needed for claiming a slot in the world-class city register.

In 1972, Andrews derived the basic analogue of Gauss`s second summation theorem and Bailey`s theorem by implementing basic analogue of Kummer`s theorem into identity due to Jackson. Recently Lavoie et.al. derived many results closely related to Kummer`s theorem, Gauss`s second summation theorem and Bailey`s theorem and also Rakha et. al. derive the basic analogues of results closely related Kummer`s theorem. The aim of this paper is to derive basic analogues of results closely related Gauss`s second summation theorem and Bailey`s theorem. Some applications and limiting cases are also considered.

Conventional space vector pulse width modulation based asymmetrical dual inverter configuration produces high common mode voltage (CMV) variations. This CMV causes the flow of common mode current, which adversely affects the motor bearings and electromagnetic interference of nearby electronic systems. In this study, a simple and generalized carrier based pulse width modulation (PWM) technique is proposed for dual inverter configuration. This simple approach generates various continuous and discontinuous modulating signals based PWM algorithms. With the application of the discontinuous modulating signal based PWM algorithm to the asymmetrical dual inverter configuration, the CMV can be reduced with a slightly improved quality of output voltage. The performance of the continuous and discontinuous modulating signals based PWM algorithms is explored through both theoretical and experimental studies. Results show that the discontinuous modulating signal based PWM algorithm efficiently reduces the CMV and switching losses.

The importance of this paper is to give a survey of advanced picture division methods. The issues of digital picture division speak to formidable difficulties for PC vision. The extensive variety of the issues of PC vision may make excellent utilisation of picture division. This paper examines and assesses the diverse strategies for division systems. We examine the fundamental propensity of every calculation with their applications, points of interest and burdens. This examination is helpful for deciding the appropriate utilisation of the picture division strategies and for enhancing their exactness and execution and furthermore for the primary goal, which planning new calculations.

A new family of thiazole heterocycles, namely [4-(1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl)-thiazol-2-yl]-benzylidene-amines has been synthesized by the condensation of 4-(1H-Benzoimidazol-2-yl)-thiazol-2-ylamine with various aromatic aldehydes and N-[4-(1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl)-thiazol-2-yl]-N'-benzylidene-hydrazines through the cyclization of 1-(1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl)-2-bromo-ethanone with arylthiosemicarbazones. The target compounds are achieved by using 1-(1H-Benzoimidazol-2-yl)-ethanone as starting material. The chemical structures of all newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by their IR, $^1H$ NMR and Mass spectral data. Further the compounds were used to evaluate their antimicrobial activity and found that the appreciable antimicrobial activity by some of the title compounds.
A STUDY OF Q-CONTIGUOUS FUNCTION RELATIONS

In 1812, Gauss obtained fifteen contiguous functions relations. Later on, 1847, Henie gave their q-analogue. Recently, good progress has been done in finding more contiguous functions relations by employing results due to Gauss. In 1999, Cho et al. have obtained 24 new and interesting contiguous functions relations with the help of Gauss's 15 contiguous relations. In fact, such type of 72 relations exists and therefore the rest 48 contiguous functions relations have very recently been obtained by Rakha et al.. Thus, the paper is in continuation of the paper [16] published in Computer & Mathematics with Applications 61 (2011), 620.629. In this paper, first we obtained 15 q-contiguous functions relations due to Henie by following a different method and then with the help of these 15 q-contiguous functions relations, we obtain 72 new and interesting q-contiguous functions relations. These q-contiguous functions relations have wide applications.

A woman is a wonderful creation of nature and these women are exploited, discriminated, oppressed by manmade society at home, at shop and at the workplace. It is well known fact that Indian society is basically patriarchal. There are many Evidences that value rooted in patriarchy are largely against the women. In ancient time women education was encouraged. Hence, we find numerous learned women in Vedic period like Gargi, Sikta, Loopmudra, Maitri. However, when we see at Mahabharata, the holy book we find that women were considered as object in that era. During middle age and Muslim rule in India women education was hampered and their conditions have become worse. They were forced do rituals like Sati- Jauhar. In this research paper I would mention the condition of Indian women through the poetry of Kabir- Tulsidas and Bihari. It also deals the pros and cons for those conditions.

Sorting Instagram Hashtags all the Way throw Mass Tagging using HITS Algorithm

Instagram is one of the fastest-growing online photo social web services where users share their life images and videos with other users. Image tagging is an essential step for developing Automatic Image Annotation (AIA) methods that are based on the learning by example paradigm. Hashtags can be used on just about any social media platform, but they're most popular on Twitter and Instagram. Using hashtags is essentially a way to group together conversations or content around a certain topic, making it easy for people to find content that interests them. Practically on average, 20% of the Instagram hashtags are related to the actual visual content of the image they accompany, i.e., they are descriptive hashtags, while there are many irrelevant hashtags, i.e., stophashtags, that are used across totally different images just for gathering clicks and for search ability enhancement. Hence in this work, Sorting instagram hashtags all the way through mass tagging using HITS (Hyperlink-Induced Topic Search) algorithm is presented. The hashtags can sorted to several groups according to Jensen-Shannon divergence between any two hashtags. This approach provides an effective and consistent way for finding pairs of Instagram images and hashtags, which lead to representative and noise-free training sets for content-based image retrieval. The HITS algorithm is first used to rank the annotators in terms of their effectiveness in the crowd tagging task and then to identify the right hashtags per image.
